I was in Ashtar chat and I told the people in there what I did as my own spiritual practice.  A few people then said what I was doing was wrong, that I'm on the wrong path and the path is one that will lead to despair...that THEIR path was the right one.  This really sounds insane to me.  Yes, their path is right, FOR THEM.  We are all the same looking through individual perspectives...We have been raised differently, think differently, react differently, feel differently.  We all experience the world differently.  No one path fits all (in my opinion).  There can be guidelines which point you in the right direction...but they are not a path.  They are just sign posts pointing you to create your own path.  To create your own destiny.  As Buddha said "It is your ind that creates the world!

So when someone says "Your wrong, this way is right" it sounds insane to me!  Everyone is searching for happiness...even if what they do might 'seem' detrimental.  Another Buddha quote...spirituality is the search for non suffering.   Thats what everyone is doing.  Even the high class...snobby, take it all bankers.  They feel their only way to gain happiness is through the pain of others, and vice versa.  In this respect, I see everyone on thier own path...learning at their own paces.  Books, teachings, texts etc are just that.  Teachings.  The experience is much different from the teaching.  As I said, a teaching is just designed to help you learn to experience!

Fighting over whos right and whos wrong is the same thing that happens between religions.  It is the leading cause of pain in the world...genocide, the twin towers, collateral damage and innocent death all over the world.  Its easy to be fooled by our emotions when someone thinks differently to us and it is what most people do.  It takes more courage and effort to stay in touch with your true self.  With love.  To REALISE, that to them...their view or opinion is as real as yours is!  To think "Maybe I may be wrong too!?"...and to realise that conflict is against what most believe in any way, so why create it?   Nice question to ask those that inflict pain on others in the name of belief.

What are your thoughts?

  • We all place our own pebbles on the path to our own spirituality, the path it forms may be sort by many or maybe free to walk alone. Most paths are a journey to enrich the soul and free the mind, it is on the path of our own making that we can seek others to join us through our individual experiences it is with this journey one becomes part of the whole, no right or wrong direction will emerge on the journey of inner peace.as we seek knowledge and enlightenment as if we do not seek knowledge by mutual understanding and respect then the path of learning becomes overgrown and useless as no direction is available to walk upon.
  • Nice ..people all seem to put us on there right or wrong place...even here when you post something deemed misplaced. That is why there is the category invention so you can still be right even if you'r wrong,or wrong even if you'r right. When i was a kidd i thought the idiot who called a spoon a spoon was wrong ,why could i not call it something else, without getting punished or lose points for grammer in school...right and wrong...left thinking-right thinking..woble-woble trough life.Stand in front of a mirror and try to see who is right him or you...lol
  • I'm not getting them confused, which is while I made mention to the fact that we are "separate parts of the whole"

It's the whole "duality is evil, we are all the same therefore we should all think and feel and act the same" that I'm referring too.
  • I couldn't agree with you more.
I firmly believe that ALL religions (yes, I really mean all of them) are valid and appropriate for the people following it. We are all different and individual (separate parts of the whole) and so one path cannot possibly fit all of us.

I really steer clear of the "we are all one, we are all the same" (imagine a robotic, monotone voice saying that) kind of mentality. It is far more destructive than accepting that we are all different. We are intelligent, spiritual beings having an emotional, human experience. That experience includes different belief systems.
  • Great topic and I have run into this myself on many an occasion with some religious friends of mine. One is a hell fire, bible thumping Baptist and the other is a staunch Catholic and they both call my beliefs heathen new age crap ideas and often try to reform me and get me to go to church with them. I just laugh at them and say to each our own. It is a topic I try to stear clear of around them, and they seem to honor that boundary since I calmly told them that is was a mute point what they feel about my beliefs, and called a friendly truce. There is no right or wrong path, just what is right for the individual. Calling a path right or wrong only causes division. I so agree with what Ben said, we are doing what is absolutely perfect for who we are because our own heart knows best what will benefit our growth.
  • Oooops!! My bad, Cody. I somehow overlooked the fact that this was written by you. Forgive me. Just take what I addressed to Ben, and consider it as addressed to you. 'K? ^_^.
  • Well, Ben, IMHO, you've said it all very clearly and very succinctly. I've Loved and practiced what I felt to be True in the CWG series, when God supposedly said, "There is no right or wrong......only what works."

While I may not agree with what another believes, I respect the fact that that is where they are on their eternal journey, and whatever they are living/doing in this particular incarnation is their personal level of Soul growth.

Believe me, I've had a lot of "unlearning" to do......more so than actual learning, or remembering, for I feel that when all the conditioning and "brain clutter" is gone, the Truth reveals itself naturally and easily, especially if one Loves Truth and has a sincere desire to know it.

Life itself is eternal.....and if we don't "get it" this time around, there's always another and another and another chance. While I may not agree with another, I can still respect and honor the other person as a part of me and as a fragment, or spark of Creator Source.
    • Yes. There is a quote "Listen to you and not to them". The right and wrong is different in every individual. Let's go to whichever works best for us.

Some would just wanted to twist your words. Which obviously they don't have your best interest at heart; definitely not helping, If they're not helping then what's their intention? Those people are best to be ignored.
