(LifeSiteNews) — A California woman who is carrying a child via a surrogacy contract was astonished to learn that the child’s father is a Chinese billionaire who has already commissioned a reported 100-300 children born to American surrogates.  

CBS News broke the news to the yet-to-be-born child’s surrogate mother after it obtained leaked documents naming the father as Xu Bo, a wealthy Chinese recluse who built a video game empire. 

The woman, identified by CBS as “Judy” to protect her privacy, is a single mom of a seven-year-old who was lured by an ad offering $120,000 to women to become a surrogate. Her daughter currently lives with her father, and Judy saw this as an opportunity to buy a home of her own in order “to build a better life for me and my daughter.” 

The agency brokering the surrogacy deal, Patriot Conceptions, told Judy that the intended father was a single man looking to expand his family.

She was shocked when she learned the identity of the father of the child in her womb.

“I feel blindsided, I feel misled,” said the surrogate mom, who was 12 weeks’ pregnant at the time that she spoke with CBS News.  

“It feels like he’s creating an army. That’s crazy … I don’t understand what the motive is. I just know that it’s going to be hard for the children.” 

When Judy learned that she was one of more than 20 surrogates who Xu Bo is currently working with, she said that she started to feel like she’s part of a baby factory. 

“The agency should’ve been very transparent from before getting matched … about who it is that you’re having a baby for and what the family is,” Judy told CBS.

According to CBS, Judy has asked to meet Xu Bo at least five times, without success.

“It leaves me wondering: do I even have a right to know?” the surrogate mom said.

“It’s just a really crappy thing to be a part of,” Judy said. “I mean, you don’t even think like, this could be legal. Like, everyone every step of the way tells him yes and allows this, and is like, creating these agreements, and then it’s just up to the surrogate at that point who has half of the information.”

For his part, the Chinese billionaire has said in a statement that “having more children brings more blessings” and that he is starving for the development of the Chinese nation, according to the CBS report. 

Because Xu Bo’s children obtained through U.S. surrogates are born in the United States, they hold U.S. citizenship. So, though they are raised in Communist China, they will not only be able to vote in U.S. elections but will be eligible to hold U.S. political office, including the presidency once they reach age 35.   

“Look at this terrifying photo! At first, I thought it was AI-generated, but it turns out it wasn’t!” Jennifer Zeng exclaimed in an alarming X post. 

“This is something Chinese tycoon Xu Bo himself posted on the official Weibo of his company Duoyi Network: more than 100 American babies he obtained through surrogacy services!” Zeng said. 

“Xu Bo’s former partner, Tang Jing, once claimed that Xu Bo has at least 300 children,” she explained. “However, Xu Bo only admits to having more than 100.”

Zeng then shared a screenshot confirming that the photo had been posted on Bo’s Weibo company account. Weibo is one of China’s premier social media platforms.

Katy Faust, founder and president of the global children’s rights organization Them Before Us, spelled out both the moral problem and the national security threat posed by surrogacy, calling it a “Trojan horse.”

“Surrogacy about infertile couples having babies,” Faust wrote at the time. “That Trojan horse allows Big Fertility to manufacture 100+ American citizens to single Chinese billionaires.”

“100 motherless babies is enough of a tragedy,” Faust declared. “The national security threat? Should be the nail in the coffin.”

Bo’s case is far from unique. In fact, it’s indicative of a troubling trend. 

After publication of a Wall Street Journal exposé, Republican U.S. Sens. Tom Cotton of Arkansas and Rick Scott of Florida earlier this year sent a letter to the Department of Justice asking for an investigation into “surrogacy centers operated by foreign nationals.”

“Alarming reports indicate that Chinese nationals are systematically exploiting America’s surrogacy and birthright citizenship laws,” the senators wrote. 

“These children will eventually be eligible to vote in American elections, access sensitive positions, or otherwise advance Beijing’s interests, all while owing their allegiance to the CCP,” Cotton and Scott wrote, referring to the Chinese Communist Party.

They suggested there could be a “long-term strategy” in play “to ideologically and systematically undermine the United States.”
