There are a couple forces in this world pulling strongly at conscious humans.
It is sexuality, power and curiosity.
It is not simple speaking about resisting those powers. It is not simply done by saying "I resist".
Following those tempting powers delibarately is promising much satisfactions, but also destruction at least.
It belongs basicly to freedom being also exposed to the full range of truth. And the truth is, that some forces promise deep satisfaction only in relation to destruction. Thus being exposed to the truth of some forces humans have a choice which way to go.
Following fully the temptation of curiosity has led people the lose the path of choice. They became slaves of a force leading them to something which could not be managed anymore.
Here are the deep reasons humans tried to get contact with spirits and forces exceeding any imagination and boundaries.
Is it the fate of humans ending up this way of getting trapped in fields of almost no escape? Are we supposed to fully follow curiosity and it`s temptations? Is possibly one big result having those countless voices coming from entities via channelings pretending to tell the truth?
Don`t understand me wrong. I`m not here like a big preceptor calling for discipline, by no means. But I ask for understanding - why refuse many to be diligent reading the sources we always have in literature and books while asking for spirits on the other hand? Because it`s promising faster results? Are we so result orientated? Why are there so low efforts in tempering curiosity? Are we really doomed following all possible voices and promises?
I would deeply love getting some intelligent answers...

Yes exactly we have the choices to make for ourselves in life, not anyone else around us, and we have to take responsibility for our own actions in life, not because something is telling us how it should be
So many right now are looking for ways to escape there own lives, because we are going through hard times in this world we are living in, but so many don't realize that we have a strong enough voice to say NO to themselves, it is hard to admit defeat as a human being, because sometimes our ego tells that we are better, than the choices we just had made for ourselves
I would like to think that we as Human Beings have a say yet in how our path goes in life. You know the reasonable things in life, like if you pay all of your bills on time, and work hard in life, you are going to get that home you are working, because you are doing the right thing as well. Well actually no I take that back, if you work hard and pay your bills, you will end up with the kind of home you want. There was no special force out there that was telling you what to do in this matter, but you as a human being had made this choice for yourself, and that is why you are getting the home you want to live in, because you made the right choice in life, and if people would only realize that they can do things like this without being so helpless
Okay the reason though that some follow orders from things like channelings, and some of the stuff you had mentioned. It's probably, because there own reality isn't that great, and they feel that if they follow something that is promising them things, they don't have to do anything to get that gold in life, because it is just going to come to them on a silver platter.
Many more thoughts actually come to mind on this, but on a later note lol

George Kavassilas in reference to channeling. He claims most are the work of the ancient Reptillian race that lords it over us because at another level we -current human /souls asked for the experience of duality and separation from the Godhead
Wonderful reply Semile, truly wonderful in my eyes....We need to be the changes that we want to see in humanity and do our soulwork. It is not something that can be handed to us. I had forgotten what it had said in Acts about how god would give visions and prophecies to people, glad you reminded me of that. So maybe I will listen a little more and be less sure of that all channelings are not true. Does not mean that I am going to believe everything that I read or hear, but maybe I will listen a little more and think some more and not assume that all channelings are from aliens or spirits, maybe some are messages from God. Something for me to think about.

It is revealing also different kinds of undertandings of what I have written and asked.

I have presented a picture, and I asked for having a look. I asked for temperance in curiosity, and I myself am not finished with that question.
What I have found is a certain kind of reluctance in all encountering myself, which feels good for me. I have met countless people overstepping a boundary in regards to spirits telling me of severe difficulties.
It is similar in science. I believe, since I often was envolved in science projects, that there are boundaries which are better not get overstepped. Actually, scientists always do.
Remember stem cell research? Or the genome project? Or psycho research on manipulation? Should there be boundaries? Has science not a need for ethics? Is limitless curiosity always ethical?
In many years of teaching I have found most scientists unaware of an ethical codex. It is also because of countless money and reputation. It needs really a strong character not to get fucked from it.
And similarily I ask for boundaries of spiritual curiosity. To tell the truth, the first answer is showing not much reflexion, which is ok since we are not here at a college. Anyway, I am convinced developing skills in being able to properly reflect approaches and given statements would be a fine thing helping to avoid unnecessary mess. And there is also much spiritual mess going on - because many people obviously care for aversions against intellectual integrity.
Intellectual integrity has also a lot to do with accepting limits and boundaries. It is the modern almighty complex in western human beings leading to overestimation and overstepping limits by allowing spirits to take over governance, which I find problematic.
But I want not police anybody. I just wanted only mention the mental thing of temperance in regard to our curiosity...
Well see when i had read the article I didn't take it as policing anyone at all, but asking things about what we think about and all
It's funny how ppl judge postings like this, because they ask the deeper question of things

Tertius - If you want to limit yourself by all means, that's great. But other people may not want to, and your going to have to accept that.
It is not about limiting myself. You know why?
Actually I am limited. And I am aware of it...
This is a really good answer, because, its not always about reaching for the stars, sometimes, its just being where you are, and knowing its ok.
