Turn down for what? Obama's credit card declined

WASHINGTON -- Even President Obama is worried about identity theft.
His credit card company certainly is.
Obama said his credit card was "rejected" at a New York restaurant last month as he was visiting the United Nations.
"It turned out I guess I don't use it enough -- so they thought there was some fraud going on. Fortunately, Michelle had hers," Obama said Friday at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. "I was trying to explain to the waitress, 'No really, I think that I've, uh, been paying my bills.' So even I'm affected by this."
Obama recounted the story as he signed an executive order on identity theft. The order mandates chip-and-pin technology on federal government credit and debit cards, provides new help for victims of identity theft and works with businesses to encourage more identity theft prevention measures.
Later, Press Secretary Josh Earnest said he didn't know the current status of the president's personal credit card and joked that "it's unclear whether he left a tip at the bottom of the executive order."

BARRY: Ben has addressed this issue of "non-spiritual" postings on his site before you started posting on Ashtar, and he stated that he likes the variety of posters on his site, and especially the spiritual postings. Ben even showed a Matt Damon video in which Matt Damon asked about certain extreme areas that had political impact.
Maybe you should bring up this issue with him since it's his web site.

your point is well taken, many still to this day would have paid the bill if they could; just to have a token piece of paper he has sign for his dinner.
i feel mankind is waking up to the elite and their stupid romantic slogans god save the king, etc. etc.etc. for it has always been the sons of the common man either was by force into the draft, or a person who wants to prove they are now men like their dad etc,and just like the movies lately the hero is ONE LUCKY GUY WHO NEVER REALLY GETS HURT,ONLY THE MANY MANY BAD GUYS WHO FALL DEAD JUST AT THE SITE OF THIS ROMANTIC HYPED UP young man seeing life for now by what he is being told to him OF who is the bad guys that will be identify by only insulting slang words like: wap, chilk, jap, raghead, gook, wetback, etc etc etc, this has been the mold of many empire operations to incite the invasion type wars on other nations, for thousands of years church and state rules of engagement.

i feel it only was a staged again p.r. cute picture opps, to show he can be mistaken as he is like us common people, what an insult to our iq : 1# does he not go ANYWHERE without the full bodyguard swat bond type protecting this man, that the owner of restaurant did not know who he was.
2# who does not know who this man is around the world, and NOT know how much money he gets WAY above our incomes of the common man per year to have a credit card be overdrawn, is this a smoke and mirrors tactic that is: EVERYBODY watch mr. cute while something else is and should be in the limelight to our attention.

rsolar: I think you are right about it being staged. In his later years, Pablo Picasso used to write promissory notes for meals at Paris cafes, and the owners would keep them as autograph souvenirs and let him have the meal for free. I remember Mick Jagger paying for a meal with his American Express card, and the waiter pocketed the autograph and paid for the meal himself (Mick Jagger doesn't give out autographs).
But also note that Obama just passed an increased security measure to prevent identity theft, and this may be a joke to make something bad he is signing look harmless. It would be nice to know which New York restaurant rejected his card, as this would possibly reveal if you are correct about this being a staged front (due to the political leanings of the owner of the restaurant, as this stunt (if that is what this is) may indeed be a way to possibly make Obama appear to be "human" at a time when his popularity is really low).
