I wasnt going to post this here but then i thought ,, eh ,,, why not...and besides...you guys might know some turkeys too. if so...i felt better writing it.. hope you enjoy reading it :)

It can be hard to soar like an eagle when you’re surrounded by turkeys. They’re the ones who gobble out the nasty negativity that fails the test of kindness and reason. You need to stand staunchly. You mustn’t let the turkeys get you down.

Take this column for example. Shocking though it may seem to you Dear Reader, in the more than four hundred editions I have contributed in good faith, there has been expressed numerous strident antipathies to my writing.

I needed to learn early that you can’t please all of the people all of the time. Indeed if you try to please people you end up being silenced or worse, obediently enslaved beneath bland bureaucratised representations of reality. In either case you end up pleasing nobody, most particularly yourself.

Sadly some souls are so filled with furious bile that all they’re able to do is vomit their acidic intention over others. Neither creating nor contributing, turkeys gain their sense of power by snippety snapping at your feathers of flight.

Turkeys and crocodiles have something in common. It’s fruitless to negotiate with either. It doesn’t suit a turkey’s adgenda to reach a respectful common ground. Every seed you offer would be pecked at and greedily consumed only to emerge transformed and unrecognisable at the turkeys other end.

Keep your compassionate mind upon the pitiable fact that the turkeys are not really having a good life. They live a squalid existence, corralled behind a fence, awaiting their turn in the slaughterhouse. Even in death their meat is a dry, stringy, barely edible affair! Turkeys are an undignified bird best avoided.

To conclude I feel compelled to disclaim that the use of the concept “turkey” is a metaphor for an aspect of the human condition. No harm has been enacted against any turkey in the production of this document nor is it intended to encourage the ill treatment or abuse against turkeys.
