Why not try honesty?

I don't know how familiar people are with the recent scandal involving Jimmy Saville in England.  He was a popular BBC presenter on a show called "Top of the Pops".  Everything about this man presents evidence of a being a psychopathic paedophile.  Witnesses have been coming from every corner and station of life to tell tales of sexual abuse and rape.  He was placed in charge of a Mental Hospital; the "Broadmoor" where he had access to anywhere in the building.  If I were disposed to such behavior, I would find this to be a highly attractive position to be in.

What I was interested in was the fact that in cases such as  his, whether involving child abuse, drug trade, porn, corrupt bankers, etc. it has always stuck with me how everyone who discusses these cases are never absolutely honest about the people or events involved.  I mean if the society you live in is obviously negatively affected by crime, why wouldn't you be honest in talking about it?  At least honest enough to let the truth possibly find you out as having faults as well?  It would certainly be better than not telling the truth - "this person was damaged by his childhood",  "he had wrong parenting"; at least we would be getting somewhere in getting rid of this type of behavior.  What good is it vilifying a person when you have a society containing conditions which merely reproduce the behavior, therefore creating someone else much worse?  I'm really wondering what it it about us that can't seem to use simple logic in our own governance.

Employees of the hospital he worked at were questioned as to why they hadn't said anything.  Of course the reply was that "who would believe or listen to us".  This and similar behavior is going on everywhere, obviously, so the answer lies with people voicing to others, anyone.  You must hit on someone sooner or later with enough clout or backbone to do something about it.  The only catch of course is eating a little humble pie because you hadn't said anything, a small price to pay.  I would think the alternative would be much more regrettable.  It's bad enough with all that is going on with the economy, wars on foreign land for no clear purpose, crime, nat. disasters.  Why can't we stop to consider the fact that our children have to live in this world that we are doing god only knows what with?  It's when children are involved that I really get angry.  It's time to do something, not anything, but something of substance that will change things for the better.  People don't grow up thinking of becoming a paedophile or drug dealer, they're fed an image, they're told wrong things about themselves with no one around stopping it.  What quality of life do you have when you must live with this stuff going on?  Why bother with a career?    Please think about it.  Really.

  • Reason 1: Honesty requires vulnerability, ego no like that!

Reason 2: What ego no like, means what pocket no like. No dishonesty, no biiiig mulah.

Reason 3: No biiiig mulah, no controlling dominance.

Epilogue: No control, no purpose - from a certain point of view of course. ;)

    • Sounds like the modern day neanderthal; we are definitely evolving.

    • I was talking to someone today at a convenience store, and I told him about J Saville and the elite; he knew of the illuminati and their plans.  I said I really believed that the lower income, less educated among us derive many of their habits and thinking from J Saville and his ilk.  I wonder if anyone would agree with this?  Could it be that our elitist, sickenly rich & nasty "royals" and friends create an example for those without anything?  Common sense would dictate this to be the case.  Watch J Saville on YouTube with his "pimp" walk (that states I'm better than anyone in the room) and his disgusting, slimy suit.  Just like the Grinch.

  • God, i remember watching saville as a kid growing up.... at the time i thought he was a nice tv presenter,

he used to do *jimmy'ill fix it* i loved that show, lol

cant believe he would abuse his position of trust and power, but many do, so cant say i am surprised!

its sad, because kids in my generation REALLY looked up to people like him; who we thought made wishes come true... ah kids are taught a lot of lies by the time they are 7 (by social conditioning),

i hope saville's victims find peace.... and strength to move past this...

  • If we tolerate it in others we don't have to acknowledge the fact that we are all guilty of a "sin". Irrespective of what it is, if you have "sinned" in any way then you are capable of the worst of "sins", given the right circumstances and stimulus. And the "sinners are capable of love and compassion. Given the right circumstances and stimulus.

"And early in the morning He came again into the Temple [see "My Father's House"], and all the people came unto Him; and He sat down, and taught them." [see Rabbi]

"And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto Him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto Him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the Law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest Thou?"

"This they said, tempting Him, that they might have to accuse Him."

"But Jesus stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the ground, as though He heard them not. So when they continued asking Him, He lifted up Himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again He stooped down, and wrote on the ground."

"And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst."

"When Jesus had lifted up Himself, and saw none but the woman, He said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee?"

    "She said, No man, Lord."

"And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." (John 8:2-11 KJV).

(I use the word sinner as a means of description of perceived guilt. Not of judgment. We are either all sinners, or none of us are).

    • I had forgotten about this story.  Jesus stuck up especially for women and children.  He was a real man.

He definitely knew how to relate to the common people.  I heard he strongly disliked Herod.  I also heard that Herod was an ancestor or a representative of "Red Shield" (secret society) the forbear of the Rothschilds.  That's a real zapper.

      • he was consistent. He judged all by the same standards. And that is what made him special. Yes, he was a real man. The metaphor applies equally to everyone, under all circumstances. So elegantly done.

  • It's part of a paradigm which I believe is falling away with the advent of rapid sharing of free information(internet). People have come to be distrustful of each other yet for some reason those in higher positions are often seen as more trustworthy. That's the image that's pushed. So who would they believe a lowly serf or a reputable business man with plenty of money? It's true though that some people get their jollies off by spreading false rumors or feel they can somehow increase their own power by getting others in trouble by whatever means they can, so there is some sense in why they feel that they wouldn't be believed.
A time which I think is passing where being suspicious of those in positions of authority was seen as punky hipster BS and a way to blame problems on a certain group which very well may have been an image that spawned of those trying to keep their position and perhaps supporting that theory according to a friend it's one of the things they teach in "social sciences". It takes many repeat offenses before the majority of us learn a lesson, how disheartening.

So people don't "squeal" because they are looking out for themselves, they may have thought about or want to do the right thing but they figured it wasn't worth jeopardizing their own comfort. And really, without solid proof is it worth the repercussions they would surely face just to make a stand? Losing a job sucks. Being poor and starving sucks. They might feel pretty trapped if they even care. Peoples distrust of each other even works in to it as they don't trust each other enough to band together and demand investigations for such crimes.
    • You know what you know.  You're in you're profession and job because it's who you are in a way.  So making a change involves changing your perspective, your perception of yourself.  I don't know if many are aware, but society doesn't exactly help too much when you lose your job or livelihood.  In fact, you can get sucked into gov't aid, what self respecting person should have to go to this?  It's never made sense to me how we can't just opt out of the system, just opt out.  Start a new life somewhere.  Not anything anti gov't, just anti selfish.  Squeal on yourself.  I doubt it will make much of a difference if all the corporate corruption, fraud, and the rest were exposed.  You will never get justice, see?   Quit while you're ahead.  The system will never work for us.  You have to change things at the bottom, the gov't loses its huge power machinery.

    • Agreed!!! and well put! people will not step forward out of service to self - they will not give up what they have for the sake of another because they have been taught to be selfish. I did learn that one the hard way but when you have everything taken away from you by the powers that be, you realise that the only thing you have is what is within you. are you going to make a stand even though they have already taken everything away or will you keep bowing and being a victim? Everyone gets to chose, some will learn the lesson of service to others quicker than others and for some, service to others just doesn't feel right which is entirely up to them. Some don't want to know what they're actually like when you take the makeup and fake nails off, if you take my drift. they don't know and don't want to know that they can actually live off the smell of an oily rag, that they don't need that new xbox to make themselves feel better, that sometimes it is better to have no one than to have fake people because that would mean they would have to admit that they have lived a lie, which is a damn hard but very fulfilling thing to do. Most are just not ready to have themselves stripped bare to see the real inside. I believe it is this fear, along with the projected images of our society, that stalls them helping themselves and others. It is this fear which is greatly encouraged by the powers that be. the fear that if you take all of the 3D BS away, will there be anything left? i thought there would be nothing underneath my ego, turns out my losing literally everything I had except my dog and the clothes on my back, I gained more than I could ever ever imagine.
