It's both depressing and brainwashing. These songs try to get us to resonate with negativity. These are just examples. I have included the link for the lyrics to three of the songs:

If you wanna get brainwashed, then you can listen to these songs, but I DO NOT recommend it.

To name just a few:
Bleeding Love http://www.metrolyrics.com/bleeding-love-lyrics-leona-lewis.html

Heartbreak (Make Me a Dancer) http://www.metrolyrics.com/heartbreak-make-me-a-dancer-lyrics-sophie-ellis-bextor.html

Love Has Gone
I Get Drunk

Back to Zero

Uninvited

Heartbroken

Why Did Ya?
No Stress (Note: That's a misleading one)
Heartless
Insomnia

Can't Get Over

  • That's where you're wrong, it's the music that focuses the person's feelings.
  • Is it possible to listen to too much dark music, and you become pessimistic?
  • Hey Francis,

Oh yeh I have notice the music coming out alot and especially the radio stations especially where they place a real happy song and then drop it down to a slow one and then mediocre etc... Peoples do not realise all the vibrational frequency up and then down and then up and then down shit man I may as well take drugs to get that effect!! lols

Then in the morning you channel switch and all that is on is talk talk talk. There are (how many songs in the world)??? and yet they play the same crap over and over. Yep Im over it so I dont listen to it and just keep it turned off and have notice my head isn't chattering as much when I do turn it off!! Just my perception though....

I dont know if you notice this but our stations do it alot!

    Suzexx

    • I know what you mean. Radio stations were good until around 2007. Then, I noticed melancholic songs came on, and I would listen to them a few times, then more and more melancholic songs were played, and then, every 3 hours they repeated the same melancholic song on the radio for 6 months! That is repetitive. I feel like a heartbreak expert now. NB This mostly happens with pop and techno music. It's like the song being popular for 1 or 2 months makes sense, but playing it very often for 6 months is too much.
In April 2008 I was like, enough of the low-frequency, despair, distress, heartbreak, hurting, low-spirited, somber songs. I knew it wasn't natural to be so deep into the sadness. The song "Get a Life" inspired me to stop listening to the radio. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qen1tHcKEZs (sorry no lyrics because it was produced by a spanish DJ)
  • I think extraterrestrials are trying to contact us because:
    1) Leona Lewis - who made the depressing songs Bleeding Love, Happy, Broken, Run, Outta My Head - released a song in 2009 called "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miLjaCY0-S8 Lyrics: http://www.metrolyrics.com/stop-crying-your-heart-out-lyrics-leona-...
    2) Two songs were released in 2007 to try and prevent heartbreak called "Gonna Be Mine" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKUD_MPk7Ik Lyrics: http://www.lyrics-celebrities.anekatips.com/gonna-be-mine-lyrics-ad... by T2 who made the depressing song Heartbroken,

and "I Found You" by Axwell https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLPFU1KPTFs Lyrics: http://www.cornielyrics.org/lyrics/A/Axwell/8427/I_Found_U_%28feat....
    3) The benign extraterrestrials and the evil extraterrestrials are negotiating over what the lyrics of some songs should be, proof here (lyrics): http://www.metrolyrics.com/evacuate-the-dancefloor-lyrics-cascada.html The evil extraterrestrials do compromise with their lyrics, if they want to release a song.

  • i actually lik ethe song bleeding love, its pretty good, but i guess thats open to interpretation, i do agree tho that there is some really bad music out there tho

    • Yes, these songs are hypnotic, you are supposed to like them. They always get into the Top 40 charts.
  • on Ripleys Believe it Or Not has a musical tablature written in the early ninteenth century i think where if anyone person listened to the sad music then it will inevitably lead the listener into an all out suicide. No one really knows why that is but inb todays music it is more the repetitive slant in repulsive in your face hypnotic music is the ones people have to worry about as it desensitises rude shrewd and crude gestures in their lyrics. Like eminenem.
  • Ehhm... the problem lies most likely within you, and not necessarily the music itself.  At least, that's what I would think.  I know that when I'm depressed, sometimes I like to blame an external source for some part of my problem; and, even if it does have something to do with the problem, it's my responsibility to fix it, not just to complain.  Although, I also know I do that when I don't feel like dealing with the problem, I like to complain, and that staves it off for a while.

Um... not that you necessarily have a problem.  Who exactly are you concerned is going to be affected by this?

  • I have no clue who's songs are these but I can say for sure that it is up to every individual to pick and choose their genra. If one really thinks about this, every decade has some real dumb~ass bands and songs. Every generation has some real stupid music created. This decade, that decade, whatever decade always produced music designed to confuse masses, but same could be said about those who wrote increadible , lifechanging lirics and music.

If I don't like some performers I give them no attention ; I pick what I resonate with and trully have no worries about some comercial shit ( and I have enough confidence that plenty of my brothers and sisters feel very similar to my opinions ).

Listen to what you like and give no energy to something that you don't resonate with.............................
