Dear Friend, I can imagine your fear. There are a few things you can do. First, If you ask "are you of the Light" three times, that might dissuade the ghost. If not, here is an invocation you might like to try. I have lived in places where there were ghosts and here is what I would say in the house. " In the name of the I am that I am I command this home and grounds to be filled with Golden Light from the City of Light where the Ascended Masters dwell. All that is illusion must leave now. So be it It is done It is done It is done. There is a golden ball two feet in diameter in the center of this home, surrounded by 13 feet of Violet Light of St. Germain. This ball of light is grounded to the center of the earth in a large rose crystal. It is expanding gradually to consume all illusion. It is done It is done It is done. You can also ask with your intent to clear all contracts that are negative with all men and women in your life. Keep asking for this daily. McCoy you could try in meditation to ask for a clearing from GFL. I did and it worked for my family. They answered my call. You really need to use intent when you ask, it must come from your heart.
