Should an innocent Muslim snooker player be hounded for using the logo of Isis...??
Indeed, should anyone be hounded by society and by enraged individuals, for daring to use the name of a beautiful Egyptian goddess as a logo, or brand name...simply because a Frankenstein monster terror group has misused that energy...?? I think not and the apparent current frenzy in western nations, against a sacred name, is a most undignified response, but predictable, following the western world's ramping-up of the fear, for all things connected with their current bogey man, the so-called Islamic State.
This misuse of divine symbol energies and names, reminds me of the valdalism by the Nazis, that turned the swastika, from a sacred Hindu sign, into an insignia for extreme nationalism....Or the way in which the star of David has been perverted to the colonialist cause of Zionism...A symbol that predates Judaism, even...
I say, give the Goddess Isis her sacred name back.....It has been used for millennia, without any trouble, until a mere few years ago, when a group of western backed mid-east extremists, turned it into something completely different, namely a caliphate, with CIA help and advice, no doubt.

Hello friends, it's nice to see the wide interest this topic has provoked and I do appreciate that some may consider ISIS a genuine and significant threat, to our "way of life," but must remind them that it is the western state (US-UK-EU) that seems to want to glean special powers to "protect us." And in so doing, destroy the very thing they claim to want to save...
Personally I'm too young to have experienced the London blitz, as not incarnated in London then, but from what I've learned, that was a GENUINE THREAT, that far exceeds ISIS, or any other modern contrived "threat." And no, Russia is not a threat to us....I believe western politicians and media also thought that Saddam Hussein was a chemical or biological threat to the UK, in the first Gulf War..
Honestly,does anyone truly believe the western ptb, still...?? And does the state have the right to our trust...?? It has failed that trust many times, to date....Why trust them about ISIS now and why allow a witch hunt against anybody who uses the logo or brand name of ISIS...??

For a snooker player, I think it's a great distraction tool and a great idea. I'm a lousy poker player, but I think it would be a great tactic to use to weaken the tools of bluffing of others.
the name ISIS lends credence(which is what they are looking for) to the 9th century throwback enslaving islamists -should be ISIL-can't believe we are having this discussion in 2015!!!
