Sometimes things feel like they’re just too much, where even little things can get on top of you. When this occurs here are seven simple strategies that can help you make it through the moment.

  • Putting yourself in water works well. The best is natural water such as the sea. The next best is to have a shower or a bath. The water you immerse yourself in will wash away the negativity you’ve collected leaving you feeling refreshed.

  • Drinking water is another aquatic endeavour that’s a winner. Bodies and brains are mostly water and we’re highly prone to dehydration. When this occurs, your mood and functionality diminish dramatically. A large draught of H20 can turn things around almost instantly.

  • Breathe out; I mean all the way out. This action is the basic foundation of meditation. You’ll feel your tension reduce immediately. You may also experience the inclination to yawn your exhaustion away. If you’re able to have a nap.

  • Pat a pet or play with a child. You are what you surround yourself with, and innocent company provides the wisest leadership. Innocence sets your perspective straight and grounds you back to reality.

  • Hold your head. Intuitively people hold their forehead when an intellectual challenge confronts them. When you’re stressed, be proactive and spend a few moments with one hand on your forehead and the other on the back of your head. You’ll feel an easy energy rise that revives your ability to think more clearly.

  • Get a hug from a person that loves you. The feeling of being surrounded by another person’s physical and mental care is tremendously grounding. It’s the proof you’re not on your own. If you can’t get a hug right there and then remember what it was like. Getting that feeling back albeit in memory will still positively affect you in that moment.

  • “It is possible things will work out well” is a statement of positive truth that‘s impossible to logically disagree with. When you can’t see a way through, say this statement out loud to yourself, preferably in a calm matter of fact tone of voice.

When you’re feeling hopelessly under pressure do one or more of these actions. Each one of these strategies will work well.

  • Nice alliteration my man! Now I'm going to read your post because I'm a seriously super stressed star seed from Sirius or so some say!

Actually I don't think I'm from Sirius, but just go with with it.

    • lol

      :)

  • yep

a lovely time with the BeLoved you adore is the antidote to ill conceived concerns

    Keep it Simple S........

  • I don't really feel stressed very often, but when I do...a good bath helps alot. Or, laughing, I always watch something funny, that helps lighten up your mood. Or, if all else fails....just listen to music lol

I think though, the best thing for not being stressed, is just to not get stressed....learn how to be calm cool and collected....stay relaxed....and you'll find you'll be able to handle most things that come your way in a calm manner...without letting it get into you.

    • in a more complicated version that ran through my head i was going to say heed the message of your discontent... act on said message.

wtf could be so important as to become stressed about it...and if its that important acton insteaad of fear seems the best way...but that version stressed me ...so i wrote the simple version :)

ive been enjoying the notion"why do i think this life is the main frame through which i see the self" that helps me keep what i see as the ideal perspective

nice to hear from you JJ

      enjoy

      loved

  • I like these !! very true indeed, scientists found out when we are stressed we should bathe/shower in water, it cleanses our cells

and drinking water, deep breathing, all helps with energy management.... just keep it all in balance though.

EXCERCISE ALWAYS HELPS... so i encourage that too!!!!

    • Star! I would be interested to read studies about bathing to cleanse cells... this is a personal remedy that helps when seemingly nothing else will. When I am super stressed, or anxious, or depressed, a hot shower can be my saving grace.

But yes, exercise, breathing, and drinking water help me out too! Funny. when I exercise the others have to follow along anyways, so it works out well, doesn't it?

    • Exercise is definitely a destressor.....

"You’re right. It must be in our Prussian roots! Our British DNA took a backseat lol. (Reserved for humour only) 😁"

"Hehe....It's Farage being too "British" with his words and desire to please all sides of a debate.....You and I are more "Prussian," a bit like straight talking Americans, too.....😁"

"Yes, I definitely agree. At least Zia Yusef cleared up that weird glitch for us, on 24th Feb. It’s good to see someone in that party doing the right thing. We don’t have the time or the patience for people pleasers lol."

"Agreed Movella...Frankly I have no idea why Farage would use such defeatist words, but I look at his shadow home secretary making an official speech on the topic of deportations and feel assured....That speech was on the 24th Feb, so undoubtedly…"
