Operation Clambake present:
An Operating Thetan (OT) is one who is above Clear, a state of partial enlightenment, and who is not just free of unconscious impulses, but is free of other things too so that they can operate, and be causative over the physical universe and do kewl things like fry bugs, read minds, kill people with a thought, etc.
The OT levels are solo-audited (self-metered; the soup-can electrodes of Hubbard's crude ohm-meter are held in one hand, and notes are jotted down with the other; saves money (for Scientology) over having an auditor do it) and expensive processes at the top of the Scientology "Bridge." The levels currently run from New OT I to New OT VIII. Note: most of the OT levels have been modified over time, sometimes extensively. These modifications are designated "New OT (level)". Scientology has always been a service to self organization.
The upper levels were written but not released. If you can find a "squirrel" that still has copies from the 50's you may be able to get some insight. Most of them have been collected or at least that was the impression I was given while exposed to them. They are very pleasant when you first are exposed, unless you are trying to debunk them, as you get deeper into their "system" they become very unpleasant. I had ONE experience that wasn't all happiness and I was threatened with being PTS, Potential Trouble Source. I asked the wrong questions and was not responding to the communications course properly. Ive taken a few of their courses, never got past that one. I was never a member although my ex bf was. He is not ALLOWED to have any contact with me because of scientology. I could care less either way, we broke up but I thought it was intresting he isn't ALLOWED to. Money is the exchange for being "free". and it IS costly. I didn;t have to pay for any of my non-member courses, my ex did. You ever watch that movie The Stepford Wives? It was really like that, creepy sometimes.

I attended Egyptian mass at the O.T.O. lodge with an ex-member of Scientology, who needed $2000 to be reinstated to Scientology. Those Scientology guys are con artists; I read parts of one their "training manuals" in which it seems to place a strong focus on looking for weaknesses and strengths of people you encounter (and exploiting them for the benefit of Scientology). This is opposed to accepting people for what they represent and whom they really are as a members of society.

I starting reading Hubbard's book in the 80's and when I got to the page where he started to talk about , something like, 'the psychotics' mind reels and the intense thought and desire to shove a shoving the knife into flesh' etc. He was explaining something about mental/emotional aberrations but it was a complete turn off-
