Primal Spirit

A black stallion rips through
a snow laden field,
while the sun glistens like
a thousand points of blinding light,
each flash an echo of an entire world
in and of itself.
Plumes of smokey air steam
from its flaring nostrils
puffing outward
with each forceful exhalation,
ripping at the ether's with warm breath
and the pounding ricochet
of expanding and collapsing lungs.
Muscles tense and flex
with each thunderous step
as ice and frozen ground give way
to the dark majesty,
propelling it forward
with calculated abandon.
Wild and untamed,
the vibrant will and force of it
beckons to the world
I stand tall,
I stand firm,
I stand as my own God, forever.

"Well done Movella...Your final art cover choice for the book, was spot on....He walks away with evil purpose, into the foggy night, cane tapping the cobblestones, with a dark astral entity, hovering near by....Cool.....It's like a scene from one of…"
