Amazing documentary showing that Plants are alive and behave like Animals. All life requires food, you cannot escape this reality by eating plants. At least animals get to move around, they are more privledged if you ask me, but I wouldn't want to eat either exclusively. I suppose you can escape this with science, Japanese sewer steaks, etc, but I would highly recommend staying away from GMOs, processed foods, etc. Look the point is, we are part of nature, and are basically the same. It's not as thought Carnivores are evil, or vice versa.

  • Don't worry. After the nuclear war between Russia, China, US and the muslims, that be coming, everyone here that says they'll never eat meat, are going to find themselves eating anything from rats to small children during the months after.

You only have to starve for like 3 days or so before you go thinking about eating things you've never thought of eating before. I know from experience. ;)

One should never use the word "never" in a public statement about something. It's dangerous.

Every time cosmos hears that word it takes it as a challenge and sends one all kinds of hell to test ones resolution afterwards. ;)

  • Plants have groupconciousness , not individual.

The redwood groupconciousness is VERY wise.

  • You're right. Most vegetal foods are pain free. It means clear soul and mind.

Well, there's actually one step further. But it's from beyond, far away. Even Though most of you are very involved with this process, taking place on Earth, without knowing anything about it.

    My bull... is bleeding.

  • It is true that all the nature can feel pain.  It is especially painful for the nature when we clear cut forests or blow up mountain tops or frack or use poisons on the crops, or dam the rivers or pollute the oceans, etc. This is a much bigger issue than just eating plants. Plants have higher selves and they will talk to you and explain their medicinal properties and the role they played in the evolution. But they do feel much less pain than animals and it´s ok to eat them if we grow them in a loving way. Most people are really out of touch with the nature these days and this needs to change before we destroy this planet which is our home.

    • This is not only about how we treat the nature, but how we treat all the living beings on this planet. We are all a part of the nature..it is a web of life..

  • I agree with you. It has more to do with how the food ended up on your plate to begin with. For instance just because I'm not eating meat (it's because it's from animals that have suffered at my local shop) does not mean that I wouldn't eat meat from an animal that has lived a healthy life out in the open and have been treated with respect. I would rather do this than to eat a GMO plant or processed with chemicals and that stuff.

Basically, it's about staying so close to pureness and treating the food with respect and honoring it before it ends up on your plate. I don't hate carnivores (animals and humans) for eating animals. There is nothing more daunting than to hear someone fiercly try to shove their beliefs on other people thinking they are always right and have some sort of higher standard. I often get critisized for eating mostly vegetarian food, but I would rather have it this way than to critisize other people for not being the same.

Very good thread thank you :) and thanks for letting me voice my opinion!

  • Well look it at this way:

Plants AND animals will get killed for you to eat, if you are vegan, only plants.

Also, most of the time you don't eat the plant itself, but it's fruits (tomato) or seeds (seed, seed oils).

    • .....you are not trying to tell us that picking fruit off the tree kills the tree. picking a tomatoe off the vine kills the entire plant ?...........eating beet greens does not kill the root.

      • Ehmm no.

You clearly didn't read the last line of my comment.
