Consider this scenario, you are at the branch of a road. When you decided to take one of the branches, the universe splits into two! In one universe, you took branch A and in the other, you took branch B! So at every decision you make, the universe splits into two!! So every possible event exists albeit at another universe! All myths that you hear realy happened somewhere simply because they are possible!QUANTUM SUICIDE AND IMMORTALITYFirst, the schrodinger cat is alife in one universe and dead in another universe as said so in the many worlds interpratation of quantum mechanics. Putting yourself in the shoes of the schrodinger cat, of course you are one and only one. If there are myriads of parallel 'yous' in myriads of parallel universes, then all but one of the 'yous' are infact philosophical zombies. But this can happen only if you are a soul and the other paralel 'selfs' are empty bodies. In one universe, 'you' die, but the soul goes to the universe in which 'you' did not die. With you in the shoes of schrodinger cat, according to many worlds interpratation of QM, you acheive what is called quantum immortality!
