Could a world without money, where everything is free, work?

The Free World Charter is a set of principles that have the potential to optimise life on Earth for all species, eradicate human poverty and greed, and advance progress exponentially.

Neither political nor religious, the ten short principles of the Charter could form the foundation of a new, advanced society that uses no money, is free, fair and sustainable. They are based solely on common sense, Nature and survival.

This is our world, and we can solve many of our problems today and have a better society, by following just a few simple rules of Nature.

  • A money free society?  Could it work?  Absolutely it WILL WORK!  In time...  besides most people on Earth already have very little to NO MONEY!  Nothing on this Earth is owned by anyone... Just like parasites on/in your body do not own your body.  I'm ready to ditch the control tool we call money... Are you?

    • I sure as heck am ready....I don't have squat now so not a long way to go anyway....would be nice not to have to struggle just for food and necessities.  People in cold climates I feel very bad for, many have to make the decision to eat or heat..that is why I moved from Maine to Florida..course I did not factor in that although I was not going to have to keep filling an oil furnace, that I would be instead paying a greedy power company for the privilege of not having my brains fried with the oppressive damp heat of Florida, although it is less than the 600-700 bucks of oil to heat my 105 year old uninsulated house......If free resources like heat and food were a free commodity then people would be far better off...these videos are awesome and explain it so well.  It could work but it would definitely take lots of time and a change of parts of human nature that are not so good.  It certainly would be worth a try....

      • Life will get easier and easier as supressed technologies are released.  We've had the ability to heat or cool our homes for free for decades now... It's just been hidden by corrupt entities who want to profit from us relying on current tech.  We do have the option now to go off grid w/ technologies such as solar or wind.  I know of several places "off the grid" around my area... farms mostly.  Nice organic farms!  :)  There are other devices which exist such as replicators... where you can replicate just about anything.  Imagine how different our lives would be if we just had a few new pieces of tech which would allow us free electricity and free food.  That could just about relieve the need for money right there.

        • btw, regarding replicators... I feel they exist... where/when we'll see them... I haven't a clue

  • Yes Marique, it wouldn't work if you introduced it from one day to another, but with some kind of transition I think it may.

Is the same idea behind contributionism.

I found this series of really good videos, from someone called Michael Tellinger, that talks about this idea.

This idea as a general concept, have had different names but the core concept still doesn't changes.

  • I totally agree with you Feather, humanity would definitely have to take some serious strides in the right direction first...I am sure you are absolutely right about people using up all the resources...I so think that too...

  • Everything is owned and controlled by the Earth, and should be treated as her property.

We should only accept those things which are allotted as our own quota---

anything else is none of our business.

    • Thanks Eddie for starting my day out with mirth and good cheer....Delightful....Have an awesome weekend, this started it off good for me.

  • Free your mind and your ass will follow
