Good Vibrations

http://www.wakingtimes.com/2012/10/30/the-science-behind-good-vibes-how-mindfulness-actually-works-2/

Meditation and awareness exercises are the staple in many person's daily routine.  This article reinforces it's good benefits and highlights a more socialable profile among it's constituents.  I'm still practicing meditation, it's taking me years to get it right.  Sometimes I give up and go for a walk.  It's better than nothing.

  • I have found that early morning meditation is best and I will do it when I can. If I can get up that early. Sometimes when I sit I am bombarded with telepathic thoughts, and other energies from others. That same energetic interferance is not present in the early a.m. I have found the longer I keep at it the better I am getting. At dharma rain they will do walking meditation very very slowly. It is actually challenging the slow walking.
  • walking is an active form of meditation ... Meditation is a state of Being at the Present ... relaxed, not rushing at anything or anywhere, anything that requires your attention could be a form of meditation (there are no rules, nor systems or right way or wrong way) ... it could be washing the dishes, peeling potatoes, cooking, baking, gazing, swimming, running (some inner revelations  comes at this moment) ... and etc .... Majority of the 'systems' were created for the beginners (to be disciplined and for the conditioning one's body) after that the methods do varies .... according to everybody's life.

    • It's hard to force yourself to find the time, so, yes, activities can turn into a form  of meditation.  It seems desperately essential to spend the time these days.
