Yes, please post the Source for this but it is quite telling. Combine what we know about these drugs with prolonged or repeated experiences of abuse, neglect, alienation, bullying, life stress or social ostracism and the tragedy is on.

i suffered a brain injury from ssri's. Damaged my serotonin receptors so my emotions are very grey and blunted. 18months now this has been. Very difficult to experience love and joy for sustained periods. My 'working memory' is well below average now also. Along with a never ending headache

This is very disturbing. I think that these drugs should be illegal.
people have reported that prozac actually changed their personalities-they beleived that they had become someone else so the depression didn't really effect them-to me this splitting the personalty
It's my experience as an RN that antidepressants and SSRI's make one calm and mentally open to suggestions, but people can have bad reactions to them (since you are messing with the brains chemistry).
This is why I don't like regular prescriptions of these drugs: the long term effects of these drugs seem to indicate depression and mood swings with people who take these drugs on a regular basis. Nevertheless, I've been punched in the face and stomach, so these meds have some temporary uses at calming people down once they are in a psychotic mode (and psychotic modes DO HAPPEN).
But a side effect of these drugs is they do make one open to suggestions.This may be why drugs like Zyprexa (an SSRI) are given to agitated people to help them sleep; you have staff telling the person "it's 1 AM, here's your sleep meds you want that are ordered by the doctor. Get some sleep" and they usually follow. The problem is when these drugs are given on a routine basis and if you like to watch violent television or listen to trash talk from low IQ friends, you may respond violently to daily problems. And the evidence above shows this seems to be the case with students faced with challenges at school who take these drugs on a regular basis.
