We are having a magnetic storm. Can you feel it?

What you are looking at in the photo is a result of the CME from the X class solar flare on 3/7/12 striking the solar telescope. There are indeed huge changes afoot, and our sun plays a role. But the photo is actually just "static interference" from the solar flare.
