Animals

I've always been more fascinated of animals rather than humans, and I'm a strong believer in not killing any animal, not even for food.

My question is how come animals kill to survive? Isn't killing "wrong" in any sense of the word, is it instict? If it's supposed to all be love and peace, which I also see in the most frightening animals, then how come even those beautiful creatures kill each other?... Just some thoughts..

  • Personally I think that plants actually feel a sense of joy in service when they are given the oppurtunity to be chosen as food. Fruit trees live to grow fruit, its what they do,their service to life. Seriously, dont feel bad about eating vegetables, feel gratitude and appreciation! The food will just rot if you dont eat it.....imagine how the plant feels then! I just grew all this wonderful food for the lovely divine human being and they let all my hard work go to waste! What a shame.

Kryon has mentioned that the animals at soul level also give of themselves in service to us in becoming food. Bless them if you eat them, its the least you can do.

  • Good questions. Animals are Soul, as are you and I. Soul is eternal. It exists because God loves It. So, when a body dies, whether animal, vegetable, or mineral (yes, all are manifestations of Soul, though it's hard to think of a rock dying...) when a body dies, Soul does not.  It can't. Soul is the consciousness that is reading this and the consciousness that is writing it.  Humans have trouble with this (animals don't) because it's so simple.  Humans like things to be complex. That way they can emesh their egos in how smart they are in "knowing all about it," or, which amounts to the same thing, claiming they don't know. The latter types usually project their own vaunted ignorance on others - to the greater vainglory of their egos.  Others try to push their beliefs on everyone else.  These are good people either to avoid or treat with diplomacy!  They have misunderstood their own spiritual teachers and hope to get "points" by misleading others....  We've all seen them...

So, we eat the bodies of plants and/or animals, commonly causing the liberation of the inhabiting Soul in order to do so.  Soul knows all about this process before incarnating, but the mind of the human is ignorant unless the human has had some out-of-body experience.  Such experience is not politically correct in most circles, so it's not often talked about, but it's much more common than many would expect.

I had such an experience many years ago.  It led me to finding a teacher, The Mahanta, the Living ECK Master, the spiritual leader of Eckankar.  Eckankar is the Religion of the Light and Sound of God. None of the other religions I'd encountered, and there were many, could take me to the next steps for my own growth.  For me, the purpose of religion is to provide a framework for growing our relationship with Divinity, or God, if you call it that.  For many religion is a set of rules to live by, but not everyone needs to be told how to live a moral life, some just know.  It all comes down to love.  Life is about learning how to love.

Animals - pets, for instance, are great for teaching us about love.  They are not involved with karma as humans are.  Right and wrong don't enter into the equation of their actions.  For humans, every action has a reaction and we reap what we sew.  Eventually we learn to live without creating new karma and life becomes quite wonderful.  Again, it's all about love.

  • I turned vegetarian 3 years ago and never looked back !!    My body does feel better and lighter as in weight wise,   I also feel that its a step in raising my own vibration.    My goal before I die is too reach a point were no food is consumed.   Its not sundowning either just being pure energy.   Maybe the animals are reflecting who we are.    Lisa
  • I suggest that some animal have choose , on a soul level , to been born and offer themself as food for humans..

This doesn`t means that we must go for it! We can choose to say : No!, thank you

    • And what if animals are doing the same thing? Offering themselves up? And then they get to progress and become human?

As far as I can see, there are equal arguments for or against.

  • i once saw this documentary on animal planet about this liones that adopted a baby gazelle. it took care of it like it was its mother, it never hurt it and it would even take it along to a stream so it could drink water, it had a strong bond but unfortunatley the little gazelle trailed off and a lion caught it, it was really sad because she wanted to do something but she was weak compared to the giant lion that now had its baby... after that it adopted a few more but they all eventually ran away
  • i dont know about the illumiati, but as for christianity i dont believe we should blame a single religion, or well infact any religion, it is greed, intolerance and lies that screwed everything up

  • ..yes..i agree that fruits when plugged off the tree probably dont feel pain when u eat them...  but i believe this about the studies that have been made in cucumbers... when they were on the plant...  i didnt know that cucumber was a fruit.. so far i have thought them to be vegetables...
  • ...basically what we need is the amino-acids inside the proteins.... proteins are just "the middle-man" as they say...they are useless... thats why we can get also all the amino-acids that we need, straight from veggies, seeds, nuts, etc... ;)
  • @Pleiarcturian ...i have similar point of view like u... but i wont be so quick to judge that plants dont feel much pain... they have been studies which show the opposite...

... ratings in the reaction of a cucumber for example, showed the needles go 4 times higher in pain, compared to humans....

... of course personally even if this is the case, i prefer killing plants, and thank them, than animals...

... anyway, in the future humans will grow their own food from cellular level... even if its plant, or meat...
