ALONENESS

When you are alone you are not alone, you are simply lonely - and there is a tremendous difference between loneliness and aloneness. When you are lonely you are thinking of the other, you are missing the other.

Loneliness is a negative state. You are feeling that it would have been better if the other were there - your friend, your wife, your mother, your beloved, and your husband. It would have been good if the other was there, but the other is not. Loneliness is absence of the other.

Aloneness is the presence of oneself. Aloneness is very positive. It is a presence, overflowing presence. You are so full of presence that you can fill the whole universe with your presence and there is no need for anybody.

When there is no ″significant other″ in our lives we can either be lonely, or enjoy the freedom that solitude brings. When we find no support among others for our deeply felt truths, we can either feel isolated and bitter, or celebrate the fact that our vision is strong enough even to survive the powerful human need for the approval of family, friends or colleagues.

If you are facing such a situation now, be aware of how you are choosing to view your ″aloneness″ and take responsibility for the choice you have made. One of Gautama Buddha’s most significant contributions to the spiritual life of humankind was to insist to his disciples, ″Be a light unto yourself.″ Ultimately, each of us must develop within ourselves the capacity to make our way through the darkness without any companions, maps or guide.

Unless you drop your individuality you will not be able to find your  personality. Personality is given by existence; individuality is imposed by the society. Individuality is social convenience. Society cannot tolerate personality, because personality will not follow like a sheep. Personality has the quality of the lion; the lion moves alone.

    • True - we are never alone ...

      • Ara, it's good to see you....;-] And yes, we ALWAYS have company....cheers, Drekx x

        • Hi Drekx,

its good to see that you are still around ... ;))

  • The other self is a vital part of our development. We reciprocate mutual awareness. In any form you can think of, positive and negative, the interaction of life serves this purpose. Don't forget that, especially when talking of other people as "sheep".

    • I consider myself a sheep as well – that’s said – it takes one to know one and based on My observation – we are, well most of us are sheep – “The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it.” ― Albert Einstein ...  and i am sure that most ... not all but most can recognize themselves in that 'do nothing' .. so here you go.

  • We are the ocean in a drop. Not a drop in the ocean.

Personality is many. Individual is one. Truth is not many. Truth is one.

Dissolve the personality. In the absence of personality, is revealed the presence of universality.

A tree does not have a personality, yet it is. It is individually, yet so connected. There is no difference between the beingness of a tree and a human. They are both, equally as much. The one is not anymore, then the other in terms of "quality". The only difference is that of "quantity". They are both rooted to Earth, but the Human can actually think and use the mind.

Whisper this to yourself, and see where it takes you ;)

    listen,

    in the silence,

    is there something calling?

Do "I" have the courage to follow what "I" hear.

    • Deity expansion -  personality expression - and universe evolution are forever conditioned by the Universal Father’s freewill. The Personality is the one changeless reality in an otherwise ever-changing experience; personality is the unifier of the diverse and experiential individuality – which extends to all features of the physical, intellectual, and spiritual aspects of human existence.

      • OK then ;) It's good to read from you again... :D

How can we even dare to define or to know the "Universal Fathers freewill"? When we don't even know what comes tomorrow.

A persona, is only for the "human".

        A human, is just a concept/construct.

What ever a "human" goes on to produce of philosophies, books and "knowledge" about the universe, God or anything else, goes on to be a concept/construct. It is fabricated within a fabrication :)

Only the background on which the fabrications take place, remains timeless and unchanging (Consciousness).

We can only know ourselves. And we are truly nothing. When we tap into the nothingness, then all possibilities are suddenly available. One can not hold on to any of it, otherwise possibilities will turn into limits. So one has to select carefully what limits one would like to impose on oneself...

Nothing, is the foundation of everything. Just look at an atom ;) 99.9% "empty".

The 0,1% is the "personality". The rest is unknown, and cannot be known from a "personal standpoint". To know the empty part, one has to be empty.

And in that knowing, nothing is really accumulated. It is just a knowing, here and now.
