  i enjoy it everyday,thers alot of potential positive energy contained in that plant,it helps me unlock my mind and strengthins my negative energy sheild esp in social situations-just like anything it shouldnt be abused-and it effects everyone differently,i seen alot of great replys on this and i couldnt resist on this topic , so im done observing this is my first post,i have noticed AC and its members have an outstanding level of positive energy and im greatful that i have the opertunity to soak it up like a spounge..................peace & respect Soulquest-name says it all

  I, personally, see nothing wrong with marijuana.  Honestly, just with anything else, there are truths and 'facts' thrown in to scare an individual.  One thing I have noticed is that many people are flat-out against it because it's illegal(in most states).  In my opinion, though, I believe that although it does alter thinking, it is, in no way as harmful to an individual as say...alcohol or cigarettes(perhaps depending on how you smoke it).

  In all, I see nothing wrong with it until it becomes a priority in life(buying it over groceries or paying bills, etc.).  I find that it makes reaching a meditative state much easier, for it quiets my mind and helps me to get thoughts in order.  Also, I've found that it helps me to recieve messages of some sort, all dealing with various issues happening in my life, and, every once in a while, notions to what will happen.

  I don't see it as being some that is imperative, but I do see it as harmless and even useful to many people for many causes.  Even to help a person to teach their own body to reach a meditative state without its use(which is where I'm at now).

  The issue of marijuana could go many different ways, depending on the individual. 

  For instance, a con of marijuana would be that it's not physically addictive, BUT you still meet people that can't seem to be without it.  Even buying it before buying essentials for themselves.

  I can not say i feel sorry but i can say that i do feel for your loss, may it one day become a gain, one with reunion both ways.  I can say i know of this schizophrenia feeling, one of panic attack, and others but know this that just because it can be used as a spiritual training stimulus, it can also be used by those who manipulate things beyond the natural,  For our knowledge whether for harm or benefit we need to know, there was day i was looking at the molecular structure of THC and at the time i did not see it but years later I looked again and there i saw what looked like a molecule normal with an antennae attached.  I saw a switching mechanism or a filter or both, by nature a means to connect to the Earth, to GAIA.  But those in the know who can manipulate such things, can send false signals that we perceive to be from Nature and Growth and the Heart of Our GAIA.  But our Spirit in the know can filter out such things.  This complicates things somewhat but only first Glance as our bond transcends such things as our Heart knows what is right with what even when our mind does not, and when our heart does not know our minds perceives clearly.

  OMG Anthony, I am so sorry about your son, truly sorry.  I had never heard of someone whose passing was caused from the use or overuse of Marijuana.  Now I feel bad about my saying that no one ever died from weed.  I did not mean to be insensitive. I know how it feels to lose one's child, simply horrendous.

  I led a pretty sheltered life and did not know much about pot other than it seemed to do the trick for me when I was very ill.  There are more sides to the big picture that I just don't know about but maybe I should learn before giving my opinion so freely.  Hope you forgive my insensitivity.

  I had not thought of that Wolverine, and I believe that you are right on this opinion.  Sad isn't it.  It has such good medicinal uses, it is a shame that other more harmful pharmaceuticals are pushed on humanity for what marijuana could be used with far less side affects and far less damage than a lot of prescriptions can do. 

  I mean marijuana would never have to have a warning on it that says that it causes death or derangement or serious life threatening side effects. I mean on tvand magazines all the time you see adds for drugs (for instance treatment of depression or anxiety) and the warnings on the commercials and bottles say "can cause severe depression or cause suicidal thoughts", I mean pot would never have to have any warnings like that.  I have yet to hear of any passing away from using pot or being suicidal from using pot.  About the only thing I could think of that could be put on pot as a warning, is "warning, may make food taste extraordinarily good and provide a wonderful appetite, or "you may not give a crap about the annoying things in life as strongly because you are totally relaxed and in the moment and in a good mood", lol.  I know I am off on a tangent here, but I was just thinking about the medical uses and how good it is for certain things and thinking about the other available legal options which are far more harmful and sometimes fatal or life destroying.  

  I do not watch tv much but it never ceases to amaze me that most of the medications being advertised have such dreadful side effects that why would  people "ask your doctor today if this medication is right for you," as the adds suggest????  I mean I would  not want to go to my doctor and ask if he thinks I should be taking a drug that the side effects are far worse than the ailment and contain that the drug could make you commit suicide or cause your death..such as in the Abilify add or asthma commercials that say the side effects can cause you to be unable to breath and cause death, I mean REALLY.

  Hi folks, I respect all the views shared here.

  Thought it seems some are focused on it's use and it's effects, which makes complete sense.

  Yet the real issue of the hemp, cannabis or any other slowed and condensed light particles (matter).

  And that issue is, are we sovereign beings and free to have, hold and ingest anything we please as long as we do not harm another.

  That is the true question.

  And if anyone has a problem with that of being a sovereign being and free to have, hold and ingest anything one pleases, then I would suggest asking yourself why and seek answers as to who, what and why would even consider an alternative to sovereignty of being and what the motives might be to oppose such sovereignty.

  For me this is a plant and herb first, plain and simple... I agree that it is a powerful plant and can be used in many beneficial and healthy ways, but as with anything else it can be overused or misused. I know a number people who use it medicinally and successfully to help them deal with many aspects of their lives, especially anger and depression issues. Artists, musicians, writers, craftspeople etc. use it to help them "get in the groove" and boost creativity.

  One thing I have noticed is that if it is taken in the afternoon to evening hours then dreams will be much more difficult to remember... so if dreams are important to you I would only use it in the morning or not at all. (On the other hand , if you don't want to remember your dreams you may want to try it just before sleep.) Using it before yoga sessions seems to be very beneficial in helping to be more "body conscious" and therefore achieve more effective results.

  The dosage level is also very key and a very little bit can go a long way for some and others need more to achieve desired results.

  Reggae music is some of the most positive music ever created in my opinion and those guys were heavy smokers, and the plant in question even being a major part of their religion. I think I heard somewhere that Bob Marley smoked about a pound a week... now that is pure overdose for most, but for some it seems ok. His music has definitely helped spread positive vibes and messages across the globe.

  In summary... to each his own. Respect of others opinions and choices is key, which ever way you wish to look at this subject or any other topic. Be kind to one another and smoke "the kind" if you feel it best to do so. I don't suggest you should or shouldn't, decide for yourself. ... and no I haven't partaken for quite some time.

  I agree...i think we just cant handle this, legalizing requires (sry my false spelling earlier) a much mature nature of all of us ... well in Europe the situation is not different from that you have described ... for too many (young) people it is a lifestyle *not an occasional luxury..., they are not free people anymore, they are trapped, it is very very sad.
