Microwaves are often touted as a simple and convenient way of cooking for millions of people around the world. They are cheap, widely available, and can prepare your food in minutes. You can rarely find a person that thinks microwaving is bad. 

The microwave oven is part of the average American household for more than 3 decades now. This was a truly revolutionary invention back then because it directly affected our eating habits. But, have you ever wondered whether this cooking solution is actually healthy and safe?

  • I guess I'm lazy.  I use a microwave.

  • I don't use microwaves oven and i prefer to cook outside where I can be near a lake surrounded by trees and mountains. Another method is drying foods in its natural state. Purchase an aquaponics for storing food.

  • Great as a directional beam weapons platform, but for cooking, well the food is zapped sterile. Nutrients reduced, tastes like cardboard....Stopped heating food, as utterly disgusting..

    I also warmed up drinks like tea/coffee....YUCK....!!

    I last used a microwave for food and drinks, sparingly, about 5-years ago....

    NOW I NEVER USE MICROWAVE FOR FOOD & DRINKS....

    • Since microwave ovens change the molecular structure of the food so it also changes the molecular structure of the person's body that eats microwave oven food . AS YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT....a lot of restaurants, offices, hospitals, hotels to name but a few are still using microwave ovens ...it's a case of fast bucks and who cares about your health 

  • Well they are banned in Russia ..in others countries a lot of people still using them ...if you have a microwave then best take it to a scrap yard ... surely you can taste the food from microwave and it's taste is dry loss of nutrients.

    Microwaves change the molecular structure of the food so they should not be used at all. Some restaurants are still using them and those eating in this restaurants are paying for tasteless food
