Her ego becomes her. She is no longer one and never will be until she can let go of the "I" in her self. Are you willing to make this change,this change of no identity. When theres anxiety boiling up within the soul don't let it destroy the moment you are existing in. understand this is a character taking life way to seriously. The ego is not in charge you are!

the ego is a part of u,us them, person,it always will b and we just need to balance both ego and divine seleves as we live here on the earth, blance is the key when dealing with ur ego, aknowledge and thank ur ego as it has played a big part in getting u to this point of ur life, we can not have one with out the other we must embrace the sides of us we dont really like and nurture, love , comfort those parts of us we can and have learnt a great deal from them and will continue to do so untill we leave here and return home

I am not saying the ego is bad, like you said it serves it's purpose on a 3rd dimensional level. You can't shut the ego mind off but you can notice it. And noticing our thoughts is a huge step, a step towards the 4th and 5th and beyond dimensions.
We cannot control the ego for that would be feeding to it's fire because the ego is all about control. For example, when there is much indecisiveness about making decisions this is a clear sign it's our ego talking. There is no need to scream at it or shun it but there is a need to notice. Big solutions don't need to be figured out by the mind.
