When was the last time you weeded and sorted out your garden? We ask because today we spent the majority of our day weeding and clearing out the garden. It was an eye opener in many ways and one that we wish to share in order to provide a context for you as you begin to dissolve that which no longer serves.

We were clearing out the growth at the bottom of our trees. From a distance the trees were thick and the ground was full of various types of grasses, on closer inspection we found a particular plant that had started to wind itself around the base of the trees and then up and through the branches of the tree. Trying to pull this plant out proved to be challenging, the more we cleared the more we found and the more knots and twists we found this plant had locked around the trees and the fence behind it.

What shocked us more than anything was the hold this rogue plant had on the tree which was forced to grow in a different way as a way to protect itself. We saw branches try to eek themselves through the twists and turns of the rogue plant.

Earlier in the week we had tackled the ivy on our house. It was there when we moved in and grew up one side of the house, we didnt pay it too much attention, it was growing continously and we had lots of birds that would sit and seek shelter within the leaves. On a closer inspection we saw that the ivy was creeping into places where it was beginning to cause damage, forcing outside boards apart and moving up brickwork. We ripped a good part of it down and again was shocked to discover the plant had managed to find its way through a grill and was making its way inside the house!

So what does the state of our garden and our house have to do with your dissolving? Well it is an analogy for the teachings of distortion, the way that we absorb teachings and then leave them to their own devices. Take the plant that had grown around the trees, this plant almost blended in, on first inspection it looked like part of the tree but closer inspection saw how this plant almost was smothering the tree.

If we do not weed out the teachings of distortion, if we allow ourselves to continue to interact with the energies we are trying to dissolve the same happens within our SELF. Worse still if you leave parts of SELF untouched, afraid to look within then akin to the plant that was winding its way around the tree, the teachings begin to take hold. They will on the outset look like they are part of SELF but on closer inspection YOU will see that they are not, they are a distortion. The give away is the residue that the teaching leaves within YOU, the uneasy feeling that you cant quite put your finger upon.

In the case of the ivy growing up the outside of the wall, it may have looked pretty but ivy will kill other plants, it creeps and it grow continuously, at a speed no doubt where it looks like it is standing still and that is the same with the teachings of distortion. They may look harmless but it is the long term damage that they do to SELF. In many cases it will be to your health. For the teachings of distortion plant seeds of fear and anxiety, enough seeds will begin to change the inner structure of your human vehicle and then dis-ease sets in.

So our original question to you was "how often do you weed your garden?" and this is appropriate more so than ever. If you do not go within often then how do you know what is growing in your inner landscape? if you do not take time to wander the inner landscape and get to know it then how do you know that everything is ok?

As we cleared the rogue plant from the trees we could FEEL the trees breathe a sigh of relief, they were able to breathe and to expand once more and the same is for the teachings of distortion that are dissolved by SELF. Once those teachings are dissolved YOU have room to breathe and to BE.

There is an adage that "when fishermen cannot go to sea, they mend their nets" and the same can be applied to SELF. The universe will know when YOU need time to garden and to take care of the inner landscape. Often the universe will create a space in which you may spend time "weeding" and "nurturing" but how many of you take the time to do this? Often the teaching of distortion will spring to life and try to teach you that all is not well and that the lull in your life experience is leading you to something terrible. How often do you sit and allow SELF to BE?

The inner landscape is where you create from, it is from this landscape that your dreams are born and then brought through into the waking world. Unlike the outer world and unlike our garden you do not have to physically plant and prune the plants that grow there. The inner landscape is energy and that energy can be transformed instantly. That which grows in your inner landscape is THOUGHT and FEELing.


So when you take the next trip into the inner landscape and find some rogue plant that is masquerading as a lovely harmless plant take time to dissolve it. Take time to change how YOU FEEL and how YOU think and watch as it turns into a beautiful rose.
