A basic understanding of planetary transits applying to the natal horoscope is required (otherwise you can go to the end). The big astrology concern is the reporting of events for this 2026 event by the mainstream media (a.k.a. "your most trusted source for news") due to a Mercury Retrograde taking place at the time of this November 3, 2026 election. Let's first look at the U.S.A. horoscope. Mercury usually represents "the media; news stories; internet news communications" on mundane astrology horoscopes (such as the U.S.A. horoscope of 1776). Mercury Trine Sun takes place with this election, and while the Trine may seem to be one of "harmony," please note that transiting Mercury is in Retrograde status. And with a transiting Mercury in retrograde status, there is going to be strong probability for many reported errors (and follow-up fact checking) with the mainstream media reporting the elections for Nov. 3rd of 2026. As mentioned, Mercury Retrograde for November 2026 does form a key Trine transit to the U.S.A. Sun placement for July 4, 1776 (regardless of which U.S.A. chart is used). The Trine aspect is a soft aspect, and while the Trine is reviewed per astrology texts as being "harmonious," the Retrograde effect of Mercury does not work well with first time important events such as elections. Note that the 2000 election between George W. Bush and Al Gore became one of the most unusual contests in modern American history (and this 2000 election featured a Mercury Retrograde throughout the remembered chaos of this election). The 2000 election outcome was based on Florida’s vote count, followed by recounts, and finally a Supreme Court decision. Mercury was retrograde during key parts of this drawn-out vote counting process. The prolonged confusion, conflicting results, and shifts in media calls made the 2000 election night (in Novmber of 2000) feel chaotic and madness with a U.S. public waiting and waiting (and waiting) for results. ADDED TO THIS PROBABLE 2026 U.S. MEDIA ELECTION CHAOS: Venus Square Mercury. With the natal 1776 U.S. Mercury placement in a retrograde status on July 4, 1776, this reveals a U.S. mainstream media that is not always accurate. It is no secret that the U.S. media industrial complex (a.k.a. "your most trusted source for news stories") is an exclusive U.S.A. institution with a big history of major dishonesty. The reporting on the JFK assassination and the 9/11 incident (in which two jet airliners took down three skyscrapers) are two well-known examples of such mainstream media dishonesty. Thus, the two transits of Mercury Trine Sun and Venus Square Mercury for Nov. 3rd (of 2026) are indicative of much mainstream media conflict and reports of errors regarding certain facts (and of which may or may not be followed up with any fact checking of reported "questionable facts" after November 3, 2026). Let's now look at the two transits of Black Moon Lilith Opposition Jupiter and Neptune Square Venus. Below is the same chart above, but with my notes.
Black Moon Lilith was added to the list of important transits. There is usually an "organized crime and/or charity function" effect associated with Black Moon Lilith (and note that Jimmy Hoffa had Black Moon Lilith Conjunction Ascendant on his natal chart; Hoffa was involved with both organized crime and a charity function). My favorite transit involving Black Moon Lilith (and organized crime) was the Chappaquiddick incident that occurred around midnight between July 18–19, 1969. Ted Kennedy (R.I.P.) plunged his Oldsmobile off a flat dike bridge and into Poucha Pond on Chappaquiddick Island, Massachusetts (and after a few drinks at a party on the island. Senator Kennedy escaped, but Mary Jo Kopechne (R.I.P.), a political aide who had worked on Senator Robert F. Kennedy’s 1968 campaign, died in the submerged vehicle). Ted Kennedy's chart featured Black Moon Lilith Opposition Ascendant during this incident, implying the presence of "organized crime in the environment" at the time of the tragedy. The November 3rd 2026 election transit of Black Moon Lilith Opposition Jupiter may thus invite "organized crime and/or charity functions" (Black Moon Lilith) involved in "trade-offs" (per Opposition aspect) in areas involving "the law and/or large sums of money" (represented by natal Jupiter) into this late 2026 election. Added to this potential for election corruption in late 2026 is Neptune Square Venus, which can define "deception involving exclusive U.S.A. cliques" (such as lawyers, police officers, members of political parties, the elite, etc.) Deception among key political parties in the U.S.A. (and also among lawyers and police officers) may take place, along with politicians "jumping sides" or "accepting dishonety." HUMOR ASPECT OF ALL OF THIS: what does all of this signify? This combination of Black Moon Lilith Opposition Jupiter AND Neptune Square Venus can (and will) highlight a classic established political and historical fact as the following riddle: how do you know when a politician is lying ... answer: whenever a politician is moving his or her lips. Hence, expect a lot of dishonesty with the Nov. 3rd election in 2026.
