HOLY TRIP TO EGYPT-6 days initiation trip - 1 day : - Arrive at Cairo-visiting the Cairo Egyptien museum

The museum's ground floor follows the history of ancient Egypt. Upon entering through the security check in the building, one looks toward the atrium and the rear of the building with many items on view - from sarcophagi and boats to enormous statues. Just in front of these you will find an Object of the Month on display. Behind it are some of the most important items from the time of the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt some 5,000 years ago, including the famous slate palette of king Narmer - one of the first documents of Egyptian history.

Also on show are small masterpieces of sculpture - keep in mind that these are some 50 centuries old. This is an area that should not be missed! The photographs shown here feature the atrium area and the area to the right of the entrance. From the entrance area itself, turn left and you will find an amazing diversity of small statues from the Old Kingdom - they depict individuals, families, and people at work. Continuing around the building in a clockwise direction takes you forward in time as you duck into the different rooms. At the far end of the building you will be confronted by material from the time of the heretic pharaoh, Akhenaten. Keep moving and eventually you will have reached the Graeco-Roman period and walked through more than 3,000 years of history! 2 day - We visit the pyramids We will do a meditation in Keops room for activating the pineal gland and open up to the new energies coming within.

We will connect to the energy of the Sfinx and to the akashic records under the Sfinx. 3 day-We will visit the Saqqara step pyramid"side trip to Memphis optional" transfer with the plane to Luxor

The Old Kingdom Period was the great age of pyramid building that started with Djoser's 6-step pyramid at Saqqara. Before the Old Kingdom Period were the Predynastic and Early Dynastic Periods, so the Old Kingdom did not begin with the first dynasty, but, instead, with Dynasty 3. It ended with Dynasty 6 or 8, depending on scholarly interpretation of the start of the next era, the First Intermediate Period. 4 day-We visit Karnak and Luxor temple -meditation offered inside of one of the temples .

5 day-Guided meditations inside the tombs of the Valley of the kings -Hatshepsut Temple

6 day -Dendera- the Hathor Temple where we can reconnect with Hathor energy. Then we continue on to visit the ancient temple of Abydos (Osiris temple) where we can see the ancient model of flower of life and the tomb of Osiris.

Who is this man ??

Saleh Shaalan is Egyptian born at the temple of Karnak in 1943. He grew up within the walls of Karnak for 11 more years before his village was thrown out of the temple by the government in 1953 for the beginning of excavation of the temple. He and his family have worked very hard over the years. Then he decided to follow his dream. While working at the Parliment in Luxor he paid his way through night school to become the first Egyptian born Egyptologist. Since then he has become his own legacy. Met with many diplomats around the world, been in many documentaries about Egypt, and even an extra in Death on the Nile.Still a leading figure in his community and patriach of his family. Saleh Shaalan continues and enjoys sharing his knowledge and fond memories with his guests. He is heading up his own Guided Tours of the Temple of Karnak, Temple of Luxor, Kings Valley, Queens Valley and other destinations in the area. All you have to do is ask.

Tuesday, March 4, 2008Imaginative Traveller Egyptology Guide - SalehImaginative Traveller are proud to say that Saleh Shaalan Mahmoud has been one of their Egyptology guides since the company opened it’s doors in 1991. During this time Saleh has graciously welcomed thousands of guests to his kingdom - the fabulous temples of Karnak and the historic West Bank of Luxor, Egypt.Born in a small village inside the precincts of Karnak Temple, the young Saleh played hide and seek with his friends, around the monumental columns of the Hypostyle Hall. His passion for Ancient Egypt developed in these early years through involvement with the archaeologists who were working on the temple. Saleh joined them as a 'basket boy' clearing the mounds of rubble from the excavations. Through this work he learnt English and also gained a small income to contribute to his schooling. In 1954 his family moved out of the temple but Saleh's association with this magnificent complex has never ended. His father had worked on British Naval ships until 1947, and when he returned to Egypt he started working within the temple. Saleh's brother was an excellent artist who also worked alongside the archaeologists on the renovation of such beautiful monuments as the White Chapel of Thutmosis Ill. So as Saleh says a love of ancient Egypt is in his blood.Kashka Lantis had the chance to catch up with this captivating character recently, in a small garden restaurant in Karnak, right on the banks of his beloved Nile. He met her dressed, as usual, in a traditional Egyptian galabeya, turban and carrying his trademark accessory - one of his many smart canes.Saleh can you tell me how you ended up working as a guide? When I was a young boy living in the temple I saw a lot of guides and really admired their knowledge and their passion for the subject of ancient Egypt. I loved studying my country's history and also could see that being a guide was a wonderful chance to meet people from all over the world. So after I finished High school I started working in the Public Relations department of Luxor Council and I went to night school for 3 years studying to be a guide. I worked for a number of companies and then joined Imaginative Traveller in 1991.What do you enjoy most about being a guide?Well first I love the subject, it is so vast, so fascinating. Then I love meeting people from all around the world who are interested to hear the wonderful stories of the Pharaohs and their times. I love it so much when people ask me their questions. Really I am at my happiest when I am guiding a group, it's a big part of who I am.

What period in Egypt's history do you find most interesting?I think the New Kingdom or the period of the tomb builders is a most important time as Luxor became the capital of Egypt and famous Pharaohs such as Thutmosis I, Hatshepsut and Ramses all reigned. The one Pharaoh that I feel was most impressive is Thutmosis Ill. He was a great man and brilliant military leader and this is why we call him the Napoleon Bonaparte of Egypt, he is one of my favourite characters. You have guided literally thousands of people through the amazing sites of Luxor. Are there are some experiences that stand out in your memory?Well I enjoy meeting everyone but I have had the privilege of guiding some distinguished people. I was guide for Prince Charles in 1976 and then Lord Mountbatten. I also guided for the Australian Prime Minister, Gough Whitlam and his wife. One of my most wonderful experiences was my involvement with the movie 'Death on the Nile' which was shot here in the 1970's. I guided some of the cast through the temple and was an extra in the movie. I enjoyed talking to the actors Peter Ustinov and David Niven, they were such gentlemen. But really I don't mind who I have with me on my tours because for me everyone is an important guest and I want them all to have a wonderful experience of my country and its treasures.I believe you have had some experiences of sharing your passion for the ancient world outside of Egypt?I visited the UK and France in the 1980's where I was a personal guide for a group when they visited the amazing Egypt collection at the British Museum and at the Louvre in Paris. Then I was very proud to be chosen as the Egyptian delegate to attend the 1989 conference of the World Federation of Tourist Guides Association. That was a wonderful experience and an hcnour. When you are not guiding do you have any other commitments?Yes, I have been a member of Luxor City Council for many years and am the chairperson of the Subcommittee of Culture. This committee considers aspects of management of the antiquities but also considers the preservation of local culture. I attend a range of monthly meetings and day to day I often have people coming to me for advice and information about a range of things that impact on their lives. I love being able to help people and to contribute to my community. When you are not working in these various capacities what are you doing?Well I have a large wonderful family who I see a lot. I had 7 children and now they have given me 13 grandsons and 4 granddaughters and there are 4 more babies on the way! As you can guess the house is often full of noise and laughter. I have always loved to read and now I have a laptop I have a great time reading about the world but mostly my favourite subject ancient Egypt. What does the future hold for you?More grandchildren no doubt! Seriously though, I would say I will be happiest if I am fit enough to keep guiding with Imaginative Traveller for a long, long time to come.Saleh is just one of a great team of guides that welcome our guests to the fabulous sites of Egypt, should you have the luck to visit Egypt be sure to keep an eye out for the striking figure of Saleh walking proudly through the temples and tombs of his ancestors. Here are a few of our tours that visit Luxor, who knows you could have Saleh as your guide!Jewels of the Nile - 14 nights/15 days from GBP640 per person sharing (excl Local Payment)Nile Valley and Red Sea - 14 nights/15 days from GBP599 per person sharing (excl Local Payment)Nile Safari - 7 nights/8 days from GBP425 per person sharing (excl Local Payment)Nile Rover - 7 nights/8 days from GBP299 per person sharing (excl Local Payment)Magical Egypt Family Tour - 7 nights/8 days from GBP440 per person sharing (excl Local Payment)Treasures of the Pharoahs Family Tour - 11 nights/12 days from GBP640 per person sharing (excl Local Payment)How do I Contact Saleh Shaalan? You may contact him directly via email at salehshaalan2000@yahoo.com or by phone 010 20 10 155 7677 if you are calling from the u.s. it will be 011 20 10 155 7677.He speaks not only his native tongue Egyptian Arabic, English, Spanish, Japanese, and French.

“When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of Wisdom………….”Hello Beloved Aurora Eagles Worldwide,Most of you will remember the words of that beautiful Beatles song from awhile ago.To those of you who were on the Conference Call last Monday, this message will make more sense than to those of you who couldn’t make the call. However, I promise to tie all the pieces together over the next day or so.On Monday night, Commander Ashtar addressed the very real and critical threat of having mandatory vaccinations imposed on the citizens of earth by those forces with a dark agenda. The information brought forth was probably shocking to most of you, even those of you who had already heard some of this through other sources.I have to admit to you that, even though I personally had been made aware of all this previous to the channeling on Monday, the act of having Ashtar give this message through me caused it to really “hit home” in a huge way for me.On Monday night after the call, I intended and projected out to the ship level. Again, true confessions time. I was overwhelmed by the gravity of the situation and needed very much to go “home” for awhile. On Monday night, I asked to be taken to Ashtar and found myself onboard Rainbow, which happens to be the ship from which he projected his channeled message on Monday evening.Ashtar’s presence, up close like that, is hugely comforting for me, even when he is not in a particularly settled mood himself. On this visit to Rainbow, he and I traded thoughts, feelings, emotions. Yes, he has feelings and emotions, just as we embodied on earth assignment do. He is fully as human as we are, as he often explains, though of HU-man form. If anything, his emotions are even more fine-tuned than those of earth men and women. However, he also knows how to almost instantaneously transmute any emotions which are lower-level into the energy which allows him to either let things be or to take action, whichever is appropriate in a situation. He once explained to me that the etherians have emotions just as we on earth do, but the difference is that earth folks often tend to “sit and stew” in their lower-level emotions, whereas the etherians know how to make constructive use of the energy of such emotions. When I have been out to the ships and conversing with Ashtar and others, I can sometimes bring full memory back and write it all down, including full conversations. Sometimes, I bring back only what is to be shared in this dimension. In the case of Monday, I know I was with Ashtar for what amounted to 8 hours in earth time. I can remember most of what we discussed, but I cannot put it into human words. What I am remembering to convey to you is that he both reiterated the gravity of this situation, and also gave me the knowing that we in human bodies on earth assignment can and will do our part to bring this horrendous threat to the Light. On Tuesday, when I awoke (very late) back in my earth consciousness, I was greeted by e-mails of inquiry, concern and support from many of you. I wish to assure you I read them all and will reply soon. However, on Tuesday, I was feeling a bit like I had been hit by a truck, so neither answered any of your e-mails nor sent out any of the information which Ashtar promised you in the call on Monday night. That information will be in your e-mail inboxes later today and tomorrow and then as I continue to receive updates on the situation. As I was waking this morning (Thursday), I felt the presence of One from the realm of the Masters who is to me an old and trusted friend…Lady Master Mary/Miriam, known to many of you as Mary, the Mother of Jesus. When I came into earth dimension as a walk-in in 1991, the first One who channeled through me when I began that part of my earth mission was Mother Mary. She has walked with me and guided and protected me in all the intervening years.Mother Mary said to me this morning that she came to give help, assistance, protection and a suggestion. She said, as I think most of you are aware, that Ashtar and his Command can only act upon directives given from “higher up,” that term higher-up meaning at the direction of Lord Jesus-Sananda, who, as Ashtar has often shared, is the Supreme Commander/Commander-in-Chief of the Ashtar Command. As Ashtar explained on the Monday call, his Command can only act if we in earth human embodiment are willing to both invite them in and ALSO to do our own part. Our part in all this can be at least partly in taking action in the earth realm to let this threat be known and to stand up to it to the best of our abilities. However, and this is Mother Mary’s suggestion, a very powerful action we can also all take is to prayerfully petition Lord Jesus-Sananda and also to petition any Galactic Councils of which we are a part, to allow Ashtar, the Ashtar Command and other Commands in the service of the Light, to take a more active part in the de-fusing and diffusing of this situation. How to do this? Simple, plain old-fashioned prayer is one way. If you know traditional prayers with which you are comfortable, you can use those prayers to get you “in the space,” then make your heartfelt request directly to God or to Lord Jesus-Sananda. However, knowing or saying traditional prayers is not necessary. Simply calling upon God or Jesus and then pouring out your heartfelt request is quite sufficient. If you feel a kinship with particular Councils, or remember having taken your vow to serve on earth assignment before a particular Council, then go to that Council and make your request. Since I remember taking my vow before the Council on Sirius, I plan to go to them in sacred ceremony and request their assistance and their making of the recommendation that Ashtar and the Forces of Light be allowed to intervene to the extent necessary to bring this threat to the people of planet earth to an end.Please…..whatever you are guided to do, just do it…and please do it SOON! This threat is NOW! We must act…failure is not an option! Please continue to check your e-mail daily. I shall be sending you updates and suggestions as to how you can act to get this information made VERY PUBLIC!I am deeply honored to be serving on earth assignment with each and every one of you, My Brothers and Sisters in the Light!Cmdr. Connecting To Our Higher Consciousness With A PendulumWe all have the ability to access our intuitive capacities by using apendulum. Learning to use a pendulum is like learning any otherskill. It requires time, determination, trust, balance and persistentpractice. Given these, success can be expected. Every object, animateor inanimate, gives off energetic radiation, and our expanded sensescan feel and measure these energies. The intuitive, or super-conscious mind is the recipient of this information when we accessthe bridge to it.The pendulum is only a communication device between the conscious andthe subconscious mind. The pendulum itself does not gives youanswers. It is nothing more than an object to give you the means orlanguage to make conscious the Intuition. Successful use of apendulum is a matter of establishing a clear, precise and consistentlanguage between the two parts of the mind. The subconscious mindtakes all communications literally. It takes time for thesubconscious to understand what is expected of it and respondaccordingly. It is necessary to approach the pendulum withenthusiasm, optimism and the confidence that you are able to use it.It is an incredible skill that can allow you access to information, knowledge and wisdom beyond all limitations. How the Pendulum WorksThe pendulum can be thought of as an extension of the intuition, since it is used to gain access to information that exists at thesubconscious level of the Inner Being. It could be said that itstrengthens or amplifies the intuition because it converts thesubtleties of the intuition into a more obvious form of physicalmotion. When you ask a question of the pendulum, it is your ownintuition that answers it. The pendulum merely allows you tophysically see what the intuition already knows. As an extension ofthe intuition, the pendulum can give you information from the sametwo sources as the intuition: from your own subconscious mind; andfrom your guidance, spirit, or guardian angel. Because of how itoperates, the pendulum can only answer questions that are phrased sothat the answer is either "yes" or "no".Connecting to Your Higher SelfLimited views and opinions are stifling. They detach us from reality, decrease our awarenss and shut down our mind. We all have a limitedview of some areas of our lives. Gaining a broader perspective isself awareness. Being able to open up your mind, allowing a free flowof thoughts and ideas can be liberating. Welcoming a new opinion orway of doing something can bring new meaning to your life. If yougive up your closed thoughts and make way for a different opinion, you may be surprised at the outcome.Striving to meet difficult goals has pushed us to stretch thehorizons of what we think is possible. We share the ways in whichobstacles and challenges have made us stronger, and given usconfidence to continue setting goals and dreams in our adventures, our business, and in our day to day lives. This is conscious living. You only want to work with your Higher Self. Any of your guides, spirits and angels can go through your Higher Self. Start by speakingto your spirits either aloud of in your head. Tuning in to any energyis the ability to quiet the mind, allowing your inner self, orintuition, to perceive truth. By practicing this art, we develop asensitivity toward inner information and the ability to condition ourmind to listen on a much more subtle level. This developing can giveus the ability to sense energy and actually perceive on an even moresubconscious plane.Universal Symbols of Shape and ColorThe following shapes and colors have a Universal meaning, yet inalmost every religion, culture and part of the world, they have theirown specific meaning to go along side these definitions. These shapesare Universally recognized and play a part of our subconscious mindin one way or another. The colors represent one general idealism; yetcan represent something entirely different if used in a differentcontext.Circle (ball): An ancient and universal symbol of unity, wholeness, infinity, the goddess, and female power. A romantic attachment ordeep friendship and a sacred space. The circle symbolizes the sacredand spiritual including the "sacred" earth. See pendulums in thscategory.Diamond (faceted): Because of its perfect symmetry, the diamondvibrates toward harmony. This makes it an excellent shape formeditation gardens or those used for culinary purposes. As this shapealso vibrates toward the solidity of Earth, it's a good bet formagical gardens involving prosperity and abundance, and issues of thefamily, home, and hearth. See pendulums in ths category.Heart: generally, hearts represent love, but may also indicate aromantic disposition. True love, happiness, financial gain, lastinglove, and love for other.Hexagon: is a polygon with six edges and six vertices. The unique qualities of the star(merkaba) are the divine light vehicle used by ascended masters toconnect with those in tune with the higher realms. "Mer" meansLight. "Ka" means Spirit. "Ba" means Body. Mer-Ka-Ba means thespirit/body surrounded by counter-rotating fields of light, (wheelswithin wheels), spirals of energy as in DNA, which transportsspirit/body from one dimension to another. See pendulums in thscategory.Triangle (pyramid): Associated with the number three. Pointingupwards, it symbolizes fire, male power, good luck; Pointing down, itsymbolizes water, female sexuality, goddess, religions, take care.Combination Ball and Triangle: energy point with ball adds both theelement of a point, which vibrates toward harmony and the Universalsymbol of unity. This makes it an excellent shape for meditationgardens or those used for culinary purposes. As this shape alsovibrates toward the solidity of Earth. The ball or circle is anancient and universal symbol of unity, wholeness, infinity, thegoddess, and female power. See pendulums in ths category.Pendulum Colors and Their ConnectionsRed - grounding emotions, passion, charisma, lust and also thecreative spark.Orange - sexual fire, abundance in career, projects and mattersneeding an added push.Yellow - the color of power, health in body and mind, love of man andthe sun, connection to the God form.Green - growth, fertility, success in things and ideas that growhope.Blue - protection, peace, calmness and spirituality.Indigo - richness of meditation, twilight, deep emotions, seriousnessand contemplation.Violet - the highest Universal power and those things that aresacred.White - purity, power of the moon, allows energy to flow freely, faith.Black - protection, also used to blend or bind elements together.Multicolor - represents the rainbow colors most associated with thefull rainbow spectrum and is most related to the Chakra centers andAura field. The Care and Use of Your Pendulum1. If you are drawn to a particular pendulum, it has probably alreadychoosen you.2. Cleanse your pendulum by running it under luke warm water or do asmudging with sage.3. You can charge your pendulum with energy by placing it on acrystal cluster, in a bowl with hematite or with quartz.4. If you pendulum is made from crystal, look at the specificcleansing for that particular crystal. Some crystals do not like saltwater, sun, extreme heat, extreme cold or water.5. Keep your pendulum in a covered or in a bag to eliminate the dustaccumulation.6. Always ask your question with the proper intention. Keep your mindclear and positive. Do not ask questions that you cannot handle theanswer to.7. Pendulums have different swings. You should determine your yes andno swing, before you start your session.8. Always stop the pendulum from swinging between questions.Andrew Pacholyk, MS. L.AcPendulum Bonanzahttp://www.peacefulmind.com/intuition.htmTherapies for healingmind, body, spirit

The Age Of Aquarius: Cosmic AgesBy Sarah BiermannThere's no doubt to me that we are in the Age of Aquarius. I don't have to look at the astrological chart (with a cluster of at least five planets in Aquarius as I write) or calculate the Universal Number for the 2009 (which is 11 the number associated with Uranus and Aquarius) to know we are in the Age of Aquarius. I can feel it!I realized that I didn't really know what an Age is or when exactly this new Age started. So I did research… (Thank God for search engines!). What I found surprised me. It seems that no one agrees on when exactly the Age of Aquarius starts! To quote Daniel Giamario, founder of Shamanic Astrology, "The question of when the Aquarian Age actually begins is a highly interesting field of inquiry, and worthy of several entire books."Like a wobbling top, the orientation of the Earth's axis is slowly but continuously changing, the northern end tracing out a conical shape in a cycle of approximately 26,000 years (called a Great or Platonic Year in astrology). Polaris, the North Star, will one day be replaced by a different North Star. Just as one year has twelve months, a Platonic Year also has twelve months and each month is a Cosmic Age.Another thing that changes is which constellation the Sun is in during the Equinoxes (the point when the Sun crosses the Equator). The position of the Sun stays in each constellation for approx. 2,150 years, precessing one degree every 72 years (although some say that this is speeding up). This is called a Cosmic Age and this movement through the constellations is called Precession of the Equinoxes. Signs and constellations are not the same thing. And it is this difference between the Signs and Constellations that causes so much confusion and misunderstanding. The confusion originated when the reality of precession was forgotten in the dark ages and at that time the signs and constellations were mistakenly called the same names. The signs describe the seasons of the year and are defined by the solstice and Equinox points. They represent a seasonal energy that is determined by our experience of the Sun at different times of the year. The zodiacal constellations are like the backdrop through which the signs move. Approximately every 26,000 years every sign will move through every constellation. Due to the nature of the precession of the equinoxes, the progression of the ages proceeds in reverse order through the zodiacal signs. Each Age is characterized by the qualities of the constellation that the Sun is in during the Equinoxes. Since currently focus more on the equinox on around March 20th that is the most strongly felt energy, but the opposite sign (September Equinox) also influences the Age.It is not possible to define an exact date when the Age changes. Many of the constellations overlap each other, including Pisces and Aquarius, so the Sun can be in two constellations at the same time. If you have a planet near the cusp of another sign, it is considered that it is also influenced by that other sign. This is also true for Cosmic Ages and is called the orb of influence which can be up to 800 years. The bottom line is that we are being influenced by both Pisces and Aquarius.Since it is not possible to exactly define the beginning and end of a Cosmic Age, I am going to use rough dates, just so you get the feel of the Ages.THE AGE of TAURUSRoughly 4,000 B.C. to 2,000 B.C.This was the Late Bronze Age (though in some cultures this lasted much longer). Many cultures worshiped the bull during this Age.Isis with Bulls Horns and Disk of Re (Ra)The great Egyptian civilization with its emphasis on agriculture (taught by Isis who is often represented with Bulls horns on her head) and new technology of building (the pyramids) echoes the influence of earthy Taurus. Both the esthetic nature of Taurus and its solidity are reflected in the beautiful art and architecture of this Age. Around 1500 B.C. in what is called the Exodus, Moses led the Jews away from Egypt and slavery. As Moses was on the mountain receiving the Tablets, the people created a Golden Calf which they were worshiping. Yahweh was ready to kill them all, but Moses interceded. The Tablets were destroyed and in their place Moses brought the Ten Commandments. (God was saying, "Dudes, the Bull is so last Age!".)THE AGE of ARIESRoughly 2,000 B.C. to 1 B.C.Aries is the goat. The Jews painted the blood of the lamb on their doorways to avoid the Angel of Death. The lamb was the principal animal of sacrifice among the Jewish people. This era is known as the Iron Age, when mankind learned to fashion weapons from iron. (Aries rules the metal iron.) This Age was also characterized by its militancy and aggressive spirit. During this era Alexander the Great conquered the world, Assyria and the Greek city-states rose to power and in the latter part of the Age, militaristic Rome became the MOST powerful empire ever known.THE AGE of PISCESRoughly A.D 1 to A.D. 2,000The enormous influence of Christianity changed the world during this era.. (Pisces is the sign of spiritual knowledge). The fish (symbol of Pisces) is also the symbol of Christianity. Christ called his apostles "fishers of men". This Age is marked by sacrifice and struggles (qualities associated with Pisces). The motto of Pisces is "It is better to give than to receive". During the Age of Pisces, there is a belief that what Spirit really wants of us is to be "in service" and to sacrifice (think of Jesus). In many eastern religion and current metaphysical beliefs, it is the height of spirituality to be a selfless healer. Many of us have lived our lives trying to fulfill our missions.Pisces is a water sign as symbolized by baptism in water. Also to be mentioned here is the Holy Water, available in churches, with which Christians cross themselves. Priests sprinkle Christians who accompany them with Holy Water. The pope still wears a mitre, which is his hat in the shape of a fish. The opposite sign of Pisces is Virgo, the Virgin. We have the worship of the Virgin Mary and of course celibate priests and nuns. Finally, a sign of divinity, of faith and also of heresy, the sign of Pisces is associated with religious conflicts and crusades. Christians have often fought against enemies under the pretense that they did not share their religious convictions. These crusades were headed by pious, faithful, well-intentioned knights, all keyed up by religious fervor. Since the Age of Pisces is not yet over, we still feel its effects: in fact, religious wars are still raging on in the world, although this phenomenon will progressively disappear as we are influenced by the Age of Aquarius.THE AGE OF AQUARIUS(circa A.D. 2,000 — A.D. 4,000)The symbol of Aquarius is the Waterbearer, though it is an air sign. I think we can expect to have water be a major theme in this Age. Already we have seen water (or the lack of) bring change via hurricanes, droughts and tsunamis. I expect we will develop new technologies using water for power and healing.Check out this car that runs on water!Dr. Masaru Emoto has done fabulous research with water. Read an Interview with Emoto in an earlier magazine from Spirit of Ma'at.Air signs are all about communication and we are certainly in the age of communication! In the Aquarian Age our communication with the divine is no longer filtered through a priest or guru, instead it is a direct and personal connection within each person.Aquarius energy is electric (electricity) and innovative. It is an age characterized by technical progress and inventions: printing, media, medication, internal combustion engines, automobiles, airplanes, rockets, electricity, electric lights, telephones, radios, televisions, movies, photography, photocopiers, fax machines, watches, clocks, radars, telecommunications, Aquarius expands the mysteries of innovative, unique, avant-garde, revolutionary experiences designed to maximize the evolution of consciousness.Other qualities of Aquarius include compassion, uniqueness and collaboration. We are being called to create community with our spiritual family. The opposite sign of Aquarius is Leo, which carries the energy of radical self-love! This is a very different energy from vanity. Real self-love means that we feel ourselves as being part of God, always loved and lovable. A New Cycle of Courage

A New Cycle of CourageBy Norma GentileI'm excited about a few things that I see arising from the ashes of fear. I keep reminding myself that fear can be either my own sense of disconnection from Spirit, or my own body telling me that something is very wrong and needs to be addressed. I have been finding a bit of both happening lately. As you may suspect, I do live in this world. I make monthly mortgage payments. I have an electric bill. My aura may glow in candlelight during my meditation healing concerts, but I need more than that to power my computer! Perhaps you will not find it odd then that I had a strong encounter with the fear that is permeating the world, especially around money, right now.One morning I was awoken with a sensation of a spear penetrating my third chakra. Asking, in only a moderately awake state, if it was really mine, I felt a strong "yes". At that very moment a particular credit card came to mind, and I knew something was very wrong. I dragged myself out of bed and logged into the website for the card. Indeed, I nearly fell out of my little computer chair when I saw the monthly payment suddenly equaled my mortgage payment.I had officially joined the ranks of people whose credit ceiling on their home equity loan dropped and whose interest rates soared, despite having done everything right! It took me a few minutes to re-enter my body (literally, shock will cause your emotional body to rise up and away from the physical body).I could have easily channeled the victim / victimizer energies that were being offered to me. I could blame the company. I could be angry with the company. I could be angry with myself. After I did all of that and a bit more, I felt my spiritual guidance opening back up to me. Once I was integrated and felt all of myself grounding back into my body, I meditated, and knew what to do. I had to make a motion of stepping forward boldly. I called the company.Despite being told there was nothing to be done, I persisted. Again I felt the victim / victimizer energies that were being offered to me by the service representative. She was firmly locked into them. But that is the old pattern. Moving out of fear means moving into new patterns. I kept feeling my lower body and breathing into my hara and navel chakra. They remained firmly set to my newfound energy of boldness. And in this case, the new pattern was also one of questioning, listening, and asking more questions. And then I asked to speak with a manager. At that higher level, the credit problem was clarified and resolved.Looking back, this situation gave me two gifts. The first was to encounter and experience the expression of my own courage and boldness. The second was to remind me that a problem cannot be resolved by diving down into the mud and muck that it is creating. I cannot clean up a mess by swirling my hands around in the dirt that is the mess itself. I need to bring a tool from outside the mess, and keep my vision broad, so I can see the entire situation that needs attention, and direct my efforts accordingly. I can reach down to clean up the mess, but I must keep my attention on the larger picture.I find that fear can be either my own disconnect from Spirit or my body telling me that there is something dangerous to my wellbeing. Fear will intensify the energies moving through our body's endocrine system. This causes imbalances that might have remained slight to become quite noticeable. Anger arises because we know that we can no longer control our world the way we used to. This is our nervous system on overload, trying to "keep it all together" when we know we cannot. Violence is our inner child, unable to cope, raging against inevitable change. For most of us that rage turns inward and flows through the meridians, causing organs to miss cue each other.Again, I live in this world too. I have found a renewed sense of clarity around what activities, places and nourishment serves my new cycle, because the old way of doing things just doesn't work well. I find feel an underlying nervousness in many situations when words or outward aspirations don't match someone's inner intentions. This outer and inner world mis-match causes my own body to feel out of synch with itself. For this reason I'm drawn to create sacred space more and more clearly and cleanly. As I invite people into the sacred space I'm creating, in Meditation Concerts or individual healings or workshops, I want for there to be an ease and openness between the inner sacred space and the outer world. The additional energetic flow of our current astrological situation moving in to 2012 is showing where we need to clarify our lives and our systems of functioning. Think of it as a black light, illuminating what cannot be seen under normal light. It will fade, and it is up to us to remember what we have experienced and what we ourselves know, deep down within our own beings, is ours to change. And as I was reminded tonight while cleaning…beginning a new cycle means taking some time to complete the old cycle. This is also a window of completion, amidst the birth into form of new cycles. You may notice an urge to clean out the closet because you have already purchased things you need to put in it! This part of the cycle is difficult, as most of us would rather toss everything out of the closet into the garage, to deal with it all later, and enjoy our new stuff now.But putting off the sorting and completing of cycles means your energies are still wrapped up in those old cycles and around the people or things that pertain to that past cycle. We will need all of our energies to step fully into these new cycles. Whatever you have been putting off completing, the time is now. Whatever issues are hanging, tie them up. And as I was finishing, I felt the presence of the Three Marys behind me. Here is what I was given by them to share:"The heart is a tender instrument, designed not only for love but to carry the power of the universe into the human form. Know that we imbue these words with our own power, that all who read this may know and remember that we stand with each of you. Your very cells vibrate with the remembrance of your angelic ancestry. We live with you in the space between your breaths. We embrace you in your empty places. We know you as our own."Blessings to all,Norma

OPENING YOUR HEART

OPENING YOUR HEARTBy Julia GriffinOpening our hearts to life is one of the most fulfilling tasks that we can undertake. When the heart chakra opens, we begin to weigh our actions from the heart. The heart is like a plumb line; it tells us when we are centered and when we are not. The Egyptians believed that the soul resided in the heart. The Goddess Ma'at, for whom this magazine is named, weighed the human heart of the dead to see if the soul had earned paradise in the afterlife. Our culture is permeated with messages of "listening to your heart" and "knowing in your heart". It is in the space of the heart that our true desires reside. The joy of the connection with the "One" or the "All" is felt in the heart. We find true compassion in the heart, not in the mind.Tibetan Buddhism describes the heart chakra as an 8 white-petal center that is the seat of the Very Subtle Mind and the Very Subtle Wind. These two qualities are immortal and reside in the seat of the heart from life time to life time. (For this reason, other people are recognizable in other lifetimes.) It is also described as the essence of Absolute Reality. The heart chakra is the fourth chakra, or the Anahata. It resides in the middle of the chakra system, balancing the 3 lower chakras which rule physical life and the 3 upper chakras, which control our access to spirituality. The heart (Tiphareth) is found in the Middle Pillar of the Kaballah. The Middle Way or Central Path is a dominant theme in philosophy. Balancing duality is an important task that is achieved by walking the Middle Path. Listening to the heart is the first step on this path. When we think with our heads and hearts in accordance, our actions begin to reflect a balance between thought and emotion. When we are one with the true or authentic self, the ego and soul are integrated. We live from the heart.Alchemy describes the awakening of the heart chakra as the communication between the heart and the Higher Self or Holy Guardian Angel. As we receive our direction from the heart, our outer direction in life becomes dictated by our inner knowing. We access the truth of our Higher Self and the immortal wisdom of the heart space.Experiencing Universal Love creates love for the self and others. Love becomes aligned with integrity, and our personal inner truth becomes more valuable. We gain true independence and self-reliance because we begin to relinquish our dependency on the outer world for direction. We learn to love the light in everyone, but we also learn to value our selves. Love has many faces in the mirror-like quality of our Universe. Restriction and expansion are two sides of one aspect of love. The restrictive and expansive nature of the universe — learning boundaries and seeing the truth- offers a glimpse into the mystery of the All.Speaking the truth of our hearts opens corridors of communication. When we live in the knowledge of our hearts, we give and receive equitably. When we are in balance with the One, this energy is reflected outwardly into the All. By simply reflecting on our hearts, we can affect marvelous changes in our lives that ripple outward into the world.EXERCISES: The wisdom of the heart chakra can be accessed through practice, attention, focus and a true desire to experience Universal love. You may find that researching the heart chakra and drawing an image of the chakra is helpful and fun.PINK HEART: Imagine that a beam from the Universe is pouring pink light (love) into the center of the chest. Breathe in this love and allow it flow throughout the entire body. Allow the pink light to flow into the nuclei of each cell and into the spaces between the cells. Remember: the Universe's capacity to give is infinite. You can receive as much light as you desire. (Note: this exercise is included in last month's voice stream on manifestation.)SENDING LIGHT TO OTHERS: You can also radiate this love or pink light to any situation or person. Imagine that the beam of pink light is pouring into your heart chakra. When your heart chakra is full, imagine that your friends and loved ones. See if you can find a location for them or imagine that they are in the room with you. Radiate a beam of pink light to each of them. Return to the present moment and allow more light to flow into your heart chakra. When you share light with others, you increase your capacity to receive light. You should feel slightly energized after the completion of this exercise.DAILY PRACTICE: Ask yourself several times each day when working, walking or performing daily tasks, "What does my heart think about this? How does my heart feel?" You may ask this question about people, situations or life changes. Eventually, you will "feel" or hear an answer from your inner self. You will know that this is your answer. This shows how the space people sometime changetheir plans...............................................................................................................The true interplanetary craft, the Ventlas of ourforces, will appear to your optics with a manifestationof colored lights, usually green, red and white. Theywill sometimes appear constantly red and green, othertimes they will appear to be flashing.Questions have been asked why there are not morespace ships seen in the skies. We would like to answerthat by saying that they are there. It is not necessaryfor them to be seen in such great numbers at this timefor their work. The time will come when great fleets ofthem, vast armadas will be seen in the skies, and thatwill tell you, who are drawn so close to our hearts, that another phase of our work has begun. At the momentwe expect the conditions to be propitious for thetaking of those who are inwardly prepared, on shorteror longer journeys. We know you are all longing forthis. We hesitate ever to cause disappointment in anyheart, and yet we must say that in some cases, thephysical body could not take such a flight. It must bea body in perfect physical health, in a certain type ofs-iritual attunement, in a certain degree of s-ule-olvement and in a state of mental alertness andreadiness. It has to be remembered that at the time thesemessages were given, in the years leading up to the endof the last century, it was expected that there wouldbe a great cleansing upon Earth. That cataclysmicevents would occur, such as an axis tilt, massive earthupheavals and that in some areas it would be necessaryto take people off the Earth for their safety. This period passed without these happenings takingplace, and it was put down to an increase in the massconsciousness of the people upon Earth. It alleviatedthe need for such dramatic action, through so muchnegative energy having become transmuted. Thiscontinues right up to this present time and with thecoming of an open First Contact, the Earth will becleansed with the help, of our friends from outerspace. It is anticipated that it will have beencompleted by the end of this cycle, in the year 2012.With these messages it shows the willingness of ourspace friends to help us through our Earth changes.Although their mission will have altered, currentmessages do nevertheless indicate how they haveadjusted to our requirements, and are prepared to puttheir vast resources at our disposal.Part 2 of 2.John Winston. johnfw@mlode.com

Subject: The Big Mother Ships. Feb. 27, 2099.Here is some information put out by a lady calledTuella. I was once given a tape that contained hertalking to a large group of people and right in thefront of the group, in the front chairs of theaudience, was her close friend Sister Thedra...............................................................................................................The Command Ships of The A-htar CommandIn the 1980's there was a group called CloverleafConnections who had contact with the As-tar Command. Onthe 8 February 1989 the following reply was given, inresponse to questions regarding details of what werereferred to as Secondary Ships. There are many, many ships of many sizes workingwithin the Ash-ar Command. At this time, we will speakonly of the Command ships, and not of those from otherCommands who offer and give assistance.Starting with the midway stations. I will endeavourto set out a listing of space ships and their purposes. This will only be relative to the effort which is knownas `Operation Victory',in other words, moving theEarth's vibration up into higher dimensions.SHAN CHEAThe greatest of all Mother Ships in the Command isknown as `The New J-rusalem' consisting of a squarespace station in constant orbit around the Earth, withorbit distances varying from approximately 500 miles to1,500 miles. This Station has thousands upon thousandsof entities, who live there all the time. It also hasmonitoring equipment of great sophistication to assistin the mission of uplifting Earth's frequencies.SHAREThis is a true midway Station also orbiting theEarth, it is not square but circular and of a smallerstature. It is in permanent orbit at this time, fromwhere ships all over the Universe check in and receivetheir orders. This is a vast Station, also housingthousands of volunteers and permanent workers. It couldeasily house 20 enormous sized Mother Ships at the onetime.MOTHER SHIPS - CITY SHIPSThese space ships were described in `On EarthAssignment' as being round, about 100 miles indiameter, and 12 storeys high. These are available and ready at any time, to acceptthird dimensional Beings and able to adjust theirfrequency level to that of the ship. The facilities aresufficient to house them for several years ifnecessary.MOTHER SHIPS - SECONDARYThese space ships can house up to 100 scout orshuttle ships, but have no facilities for housing thirddimensional Beings. They are the `workhorses' of theAsht-r Command. They are nevertheless very comfortableand Beings live on them for long periods at the time.SHUTTLE SHIPSCan be quite small and also up to 20 miles indiameter. They are conditioned for fast work in theevacuation of people from danger zones in anydimension, including yours the third dimension. Theyhave temporary facilities that are comfortable for alltypes of Beings. For their safety, those in physicalbodies are usually carried in their sleep state, toMother Ships for rejuvenation.SCOUT SHIPSAs their name implies, these are ships which checkout conditions of interest or where problems exist, andreport back their findings. They are circular andrelatively small.Generally speaking that is the categories.Although depending on their need, different uses aremade of some ships. You know that your space friendsare out there; you have seen the evidence and someof you have visited many of the ships. When you havehad the pleasure of watching and enjoying the skies ona beautiful night, if a star turns out to be a spaceship, you may never know it. The chances are you willnever be able to visit it, except perhaps in youretheric body, and coming back to your physical body itis doubtful that you will have any recollection. Therefore why worry, enjoy the stars, enjoy thecolors of those that might be ships, and know thatyour home is amongst the stars, as is the home of allLightworkers on Earth. We of `Operation Victory' welcome all of you home. You are Beings of great Light and Love and weappreciate your doing the work of the Creator. From Littlejohn, 8th February 1989.The above messages were then matched to othersthat were the subject of two c-annelled books by Tuella- `Asht-r a Tribute' and `On Earth Assignment' -Copyright 1988 by Guardian Action International.SHAN CHEAThis is the earth-child satellite, and has beenorbiting your earth now for almost two thousand yearssince the appearance of Je--s the Master upon yoursurface. Fifteen hundred miles square, it is a complexassemblage of instrumentation which permits constantsurveillance of your surface and the Beings on it. Thepresent altitude is five hundred miles and variesconsiderably from time to time. Our headquarters is on one of the largest of theMother Craft, and orders and instructions come fromthis craft, and it is a city in itself. Most of thepeople are natives of one or another of the planets inthis solar system, but also we do have those workingwith us from other solar systems. Our workers do visittheir home planets, at various times on what youmay call vacations. Most of us have worked together fora very long time; we are a well knit Confederation andfeel that we are an effective one.The largest `Inn of H-aven' a floating ethericworld, houses the headquarters of Lord Jes-- Sananda,Lord Ashta- and the -shtar Command.SCHAREThis is different to Shan Chea in that it is aQuadra Station. It is not square, but what you callspheroid. Its purposes are also different in oursystem.MOTHER SHIPSSome Mother Ships anchored high up in your atmosphereare 100 miles across. They contain entire cities withgardens, grass, trees and accommodations for literallymillions of people. There are many, many smaller craftcoming and going from other ships. There is a greatdeal of activity in what earthlings think of as emptyspace. We are capable of invisibility and when ourcraft are travelling beyond the speed of light, we dobecome invisible to the physical eye.Seven of these great Pearly W-ite Space Cities aresaid to be in readiness as `Inns of Hea-en', which varyin size around 100 miles in diameter. (JW I once wastold that Enoch was not only a man on Earth but theEnoch means a civilization that was on Earth and Enochwas the leader of these people. This civilizationwas picked up and taken from this Earth to a differentplace or dimension by a group of sevem largespacecrafts called `The Seven Cities Of Shan.' Shanis one the names of our Earth.)These ships have twelve levels in most cases: theentry and exit portal for trafficking craft. Includesdisembarking platforms, parking docks, garages, maintenance departments, storage areas and RegistrationHeadquarters. A colossal stockroom, the QuartermasterDeck, containing all manner of supplies. It is an immaculate city of warehouses. A vast zoo, including animal husbandry research and a birdland, with creatures from many worlds amd Agriculturalresearch. It is like a vast farmland of well kept vegetables, gardens and fruit orchards. Much of the growth is blueinstead of green.Housing Center for all those technicians and personswho serve on the four levels below. Recreational leveland lushly landscaped park areas for residents of allages.Medical Complex. Patient facilities, dental care, biological research, ship's laboratories and quartersfor all medical personnel.Housing prepared for Earth's evacuees. It containsstaterooms for individuals and apartments for families. There are countless joint dining areas, social halls, nursery care sections, laundry facilities andinformation offices.University Compound. The Halls of Wisdom, vastlibraries, endless concert halls and culturalinterests, halls of learning for all ages, music roomsand computer classrooms.Special apartments for visiting dignitaries from alldimensions, barracks for the ET's, staterooms andapartments with multiple scattered conference rooms andbeautiful sprawling dining and lounge areas.A-htar Command Headquarters and the Great RotundaMeeting Hall. Earth evacuees are brought to this GreatHall for any necessary group gatherings. The CommandCommunication Center is located here.Officers Observation Deck and pilot control center, which can be visited by appointment. There are millions of craft operating in this solarsystem at all times, and many of these belong to theAs-tar Command. Some are stationed far above yourplanet and are more or less stationary for long periodsof time, keeping track of the Earth on their monitoringsystems. Others move about, discharging their variousduties. We have small craft doing surveying activities, and we have larger craft with extended range that arecapable of operating in space and which visit planetsin other solar systems. Each base or Earth unit does, at all times have itspersonal craft hovering within its vortex, for personalimmediate relay of messages to or from that unit. ThisStation or platform never changes, although the personsinvolved might be removed temporarily for rest andrelaxation, to return later. All of our signals, beamsand contact are relayed to our messengers through themedium of these individual platforms of contact. In theatmosphere above a base unit, there is an invisibleidentifying beam that projects incredibly high above itfor identification purposes. This beam projectionidentifies the particular command sponsoring the baseunit. Those of you who serve in your places, be assuredthat all who participate in this program know you arethere!Part 1.John Winston. johnfw@mlode.com

Shame and Your Divinity:How the "Hidden" Emotion Separates You from CreatorBy Sarah BiermannI've been writing a series called Playing with Language where I look at the origins and energies of specific words. Words carry and convey these hidden meanings and energies so it is a good idea to know what you are actually saying. (You can find more words on my Blog.)The most recent word is Shame.1. The painful feeling arising from the consciousness of something dishonorable, improper, ridiculous, etc., done by oneself or another:2. Disgrace; ignominy: His actions brought shame upon his parents. There is a difference between guilt and shame. Guilt is when you have done something wrong or bad, but you can apologize and do something to right the wrong. With shame, there is something inherently wrong with YOU and there's nothing that you can do to "make it better". This is why it is so painful to feel shame. The definition that I find so interesting, and most relevant is "disgrace". The prefix dis- is from Latin and means not or removed from. So to be disgraced means to be removed from grace, also called the state of grace which is the condition of being in God's favor or one of the elect. If you are shamed (disgraced) then it feels like God/Creator has rejected you. You've got to be pretty bad when even God doesn't love you! This is the worst pain of all. It's the separation from Creator or Home. This is that feeling that the Universe is not friendly and definitely "not on your side".I have discovered that many, if not most people are not even aware of when they are feeling shame. The reason for this is that shame is a hider. It disguises itself as other emotions or thoughts. How do you know when you are having shame? You want to hide from the world. You feel slightly nauseous. You blush. You loose the ability to speak well (or at all). You feel angry at someone or something for "making you feel bad".You feel like you are not as good as someone else. You are afraid that someone will find out that you are a "fraud".You are afraid of being rejected.Think of those dreams where you exit a pubic restroom and realize that you have no pants on. That's shame. Here's an example. A woman in my Master's Journey Course told me this story. During the teleseminar (while we were working on recognizing and un-creating shame in order to open more to information from the spiritual realms) her phone kept disconnecting. This happened several times and each time she felt more and more angry.Being a wise master, she asked what was the "decode", or message from this. Immediately she realized that she was concerned about being disconnected from the group and felt shame about it. Think about how bad it would feel to be part of an amazing group of masters and to be disconnected (rejected) by them. What she felt at first was the anger that was really shame in disguise. Once she was aware of the shame, and so could actually feel it, it was cleared. And the phone quit disconnecting.A side note: what an amazing creator she is to make the phone disconnect several times!Another popular disguise for shame is fear. Think about public speaking. They say that it is the biggest fear that most people have, even over death. What's the worst thing that could happen? You will get up there and have nothing to say? People will laugh at you or be so bored that they get up and leave?Public humiliation (shame) is a very intense experience. If people rank public speaking as their greatest fear, even over death, does that mean they would rather die than take the chance of being shamed?Fear of shame. Wow, that is a big one! This is the reason we hesitate or completely avoid sharing our true gifts with the world. What if you did open up, get that vulnerable and offer your special gift and the world rejected you? How do you recover from that kind of pain?I remember my Pre-school graduation ceremony. I was 4 years old. All of the kids were sitting on bleachers and our parents were proudly watching us. We had been practicing for weeks to sing our song. The teacher would sing, to the melody of Frère Jacques (Brother John):Where is Johnny?Where is Johnny?Where are you?Where are you?Tell us where you are.Tell us where you are. Then the child was supposed to stand up, extend their arms into the air and sing loudly:Here I am!Here I am!Most of the kids were really shy and sang really quietly. I remember thinking, "That's not what the teacher told us to do. I'm going to do it right and really please my Mommy!"So when it was my turn, I stood up, threw my arms out and sang "Here I am! Here I am!" loudly and boldly.People giggled, my mom's shook her head, clearly not pleased and she said to the woman next to her, "Sarah always has to be the center of attention."I remember the shocking pain and humiliation I felt. I wanted to disappear. That one phrase (which I heard on many other occasions since then) and the huge amount of shame I felt stopped me from living my dreams and sharing my gifts with the world. It has been a long journey for me to be able to be in front of a group of people and teach a class, not to mention channeling in front of them. The good news is that I am not only able to do that now, but I actually enjoy it… a lot! Mom was right, I DO like to be the center of attention! And, it's a good thing. You may not desire to speak to a large group of people, but I know you do have dreams and special gifts to share with the world. How did I get so that I can enjoy being in front of people? By feeling and clearing the shame! And you can do it too. Here are some other words that we use instead of saying shame. It's such a good hider that we don't even use its real name.HumiliationEmbarrassmentShynessDisgraceChagrinDishonorLow self esteeMortification(Other than shame, to mortify means, to subjugate (the body, passions, etc.) by abstinence, ascetic discipline, or self-inflicted suffering. Ewww! It is, of course based on "to die".After doing a session about clearing shame, Liz Pegg wrote this to me."I hadn't realized how much shame was affecting me. Once I began seeing it for what it really was, I'm able to scoop it out and send it down the (un-create) wormhole. It comes up just like you said too, disguised as so many other things but I can now see the underlying energy is shame. I was literally flabbergasted yesterday when I realized all the thoughts that constantly flitter around in my head, are the result of a feeding between shame and mass consciousness. I feel so much more empowered now as I've uncreated and destroyed a great deal of the regular "beating up Liz" program that I wasn't even conscious of!! Amazing."And afterwards..."I actually experienced what it was like to feel ALL that I am — everything, I felt how immense and timeless I am. How loving, connected and expansive. I felt the power of just "Being". I became my entire being. I was wise, still, aware, everything and nothing all at once.I don't think I'll ever feel powerless again or even for a moment forget that feeling of who I really am."Do you "want what she's having"? (Cue Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally.)Are you longing to feel and actually be "All that you are"?What are your gifts to bring to this world? Is shame (or fear of shame) preventing you from offering your gifts to the world and living your dreams? If you let yourself feel the shame, really go deeply into it, you are actually healing the shame. Eventually, all the shame that was suppressed and stored in your system will be gone. At this point you are free! There's no way anybody can control you through shame. There's nothing that will stop you from living your dreams and offering your special gifts to the world. While it is simple, it is not necessarily easy. Because shame is a hidden emotion, it needs to be seen to be fully experienced and so to be cleared. This means that you need to have someone you trust to witness your shame. While your personality will probably not like the experience, your soul will be overjoyed. You will feel lighter and more hopeful, ready to shine your unique light! The seven questions that can change your life! By Sarah Bierman

Love is Abundant (so is Guilt)

Love is Abundant (so is Guilt)By Norma GentileDear Friends,It has been several years since I put out an article like this one. Those of you who know me as an energy healer and channeler will love it. Those who know me as a singer and specialist in Hildegard's chant music will be scratching your heads and wondering what on earth…? I assure each of you, especially those new to my monthly newsletters, that each and every one is unique, and next month could be, and will be, totally different.About the Article — from Norma:Today as I was preparing for a healing session, one of my guides, Lahiri, said he had something to share with me. After the session, as I went to thank and release the guides and nature spirits, there he was, waiting for me.This is the first time Lahiri has given me information directly, without the assistance of Archangel Michael or the Hathors. Some of the references in this text are a bit old-fashioned, probably due to his remembrances of his earthly life, (1828-1895).As you read the article, let the flow of energy behind the words speak to you directly. He lived in the 1800's in India. Lahiri has been near me for many years, often helping me when my sense of humor was fading, or my appreciation for the unexpected was running low. His presence has been felt at my workshops and healings, usually alongside Archangel Michael. My blessings to all who read and attend these words, given in the fullness of Spirit.Article — Love is abundant. Guilt is our mistress.from Lahiri, through NormaLove is abundant. This is a secret to compassion; knowing that love is expressing itself behind unkind or unpleasant acts. Knowing that in the midst of suffering, a touch that emerges out of an act of love eases pain. When I was young, very young, several of us boys went to play near to the edge of town where two roads converged. As boys, we were unaware of vice or greed or even what a sin might be.There we came upon a woman, what in the Western world would be called a prostitute, and a young man in his twenties.Of the woman I recall very little. She was partially unclothed where the man had been touching her. Of him, I recall the shock on his face, and the terror that was birthed in his eyes when one of my young friends recognized him.He backed away, eyeing us with dread, muttering to himself something that would translate as 'oh no, oh no". He turned and ran down what eventually became a major street of the town. At this point the road was very dusty, and he seemed to rock from side to side as he ran. He nearly fell several times. It felt as if he was trying to run fast enough to undo my friend's recognition of him. Or perhaps he felt he could separate himself from his witnessed deed with the fleetness of his feet.We did not tell anyone of what we saw that afternoon. As boys we did not fully comprehend what we had witnessed. That there was guilt in the heart of the young man was clear. But our understanding and experience of such guilt was lacking. That was most fortunate. In the warm afternoon sun we continued our exploration of the area, our time filled with banter and humor as we walked about the edge of town. The LessonGuilt is an uncomfortable mistress, yet one that many people choose to court. Her glossy red fingernails are sharp as talons, and dig deeply into our hearts.Knowing the guilt of another does not free you to absolve nor condemn that guilt. Each takes upon themselves guilt as a means of escaping true redemption. Or perhaps as a means of receiving true redemption. As long as the mistress Guilt is upon a man's arm, the wife, the true lover of the Soul, cannot be welcomed.Courting Guilt, feeding her voracious appetite, leaves you little to offer to the spiritual messengers that visit you each day. With what do you feed your heart and soul, if the best that you have is consumed by Guilt? The heart opens in both sorrow and joy. This we have shared with you often. Now, how would that appear in your life?By what manner and means are you lavishly banqueting with Guilt? Do you escort her by your side? Or perhaps don her velvety dress, swaddling yourself within her confines?Wrapped in Guilt, your soul suffocates. Swaddled in Guilt your body is crippled. Walking with Guilt you are deafened and blinded to those eyes lovingly gazing upon you. Those who say they have never met nor walked with Guilt have her well hidden within their own homes.Humility honors Guilt as its longtime helper.Over many years and even decades those who acknowledge their walks with Guilt learn also of that moment of surrender. In surrender is the motion of the human into God. It is the motion of prostration before Love. In surrender is the sweet sensation of belonging not to yourself but to Spirit. Just as a bride passes from her father to her husband, in surrender the mistress of Guilt passes from your humanity into Spirit.Truly, you are freed in this moment of surrender. And in this moment, each time, your soul feasts upon humility. And it is fully satisfied with this meal.Love is abundant.Norma GentileAs given to me, from Lahiri, written to the best of my ability to hear and translate.Copywrite 2008 Norma Gentile. www.healingchants.com

DNA Can Be Influenced And Reprogrammed By Words And Frequencies — Russian DNA Discoveries.By Grazyna Fosar and Franz BludorfThe human DNA is a biological Internet and superior in many aspects to the artificial one. The latest Russian scientific research directly or indirectly explains phenomena such as clairvoyance, intuition, spontaneous and remote acts of healing, self healing, affirmation techniques, unusual light, auras around people, namely spiritual masters, the minds influence on weather patterns, and much more.In addition, there is evidence for a whole new type of medicine in which DNA can be influenced and reprogrammed by words and frequencies WITHOUT cutting out and replacing single genes.Only 10% of our DNA is being used for building proteins. It is this subset of DNA that is of interest to western researchers and is being examined and categorized. The other 90% are considered "junk DNA. The Russian researchers, however, convinced that nature was not dumb, joined linguists and geneticists in a venture to explore those 90% of "junk DNA". Their results, findings and conclusions are simply revolutionary!According to them, our DNA is not only responsible for the construction of our body but also serves as data storage and communication. The Russian linguists found that the genetic code, especially in the apparently useless 90%, follows the same rules as all our human languages. To this end they compared the rules of syntax (the way in which words are put together to form phrases and sentences), semantics (the study of meaning in language forms) and the basic rules of grammar. They found that the alkalines of our DNA follow regular grammar and do have set rules just like our languages. So human languages did not appear coincidentally but are a reflection of our inherent DNA.The Russian biophysicist and molecular biologist Pjotr Garjajev and his colleagues also explored the vibrational behavior of the DNA. [For the sake of brevity I will give only a summary here. For further exploration please refer to the appendix at the end of this article.]The bottom line was: "Living chromosomes function just like solitonic/holographic computers using the endogenous DNA laser radiation."This means that they managed, for example, to modulate certain frequency patterns onto a laser ray and with it influenced the DNA frequency and thus the genetic information itself. Since the basic structure of DNA-alkaline pairs and of language (as explained earlier) are of the same structure, no DNA decoding is necessary. One can simply use words and sentences of the human language! This, too, was experimentally proven! Living DNA substance (in living tissue, not in vitro) will always react to language-modulated laser rays and even to radio waves, if the proper frequencies are being used. This finally and scientifically explains why affirmations, autogenous training, hypnosis and the like can have such strong effects on humans and their bodies. It is entirely normal and natural for our DNA to react to language. While western researchers cut single genes from the DNA strands and insert them elsewhere, the Russians enthusiastically worked on devices that can influence the cellular metabolism through suitable modulated radio and light frequencies and thus repair genetic defects.Garjajev's research group succeeded in proving that with this method chromosomes damaged by x-rays for example can be repaired. They even captured information patterns of a particular DNA and transmitted it onto another, thus reprogramming cells to another genome. So they successfully transformed, for example, frog embryos to salamander embryos simply by transmitting the DNA information patterns! This way the entire information was transmitted without any of the side effects or disharmonies encountered when cutting out and re- introducing single genes from the DNA. This represents an unbelievable, world-transforming revolution and sensation! All this by simply applying vibration and language instead of the archaic cutting- out procedure! This experiment points to the immense power of wave genetics, which obviously has a greater influence on the formation of organisms than the biochemical processes of alkaline sequences.Esoteric and spiritual teachers have known for ages that our body is programmable by language, words and thought. This has now been scientifically proven and explained. Of course the frequency has to be correct. And this is why not everybody is equally successful or can do it with always the same strength. The individual person must work on the inner processes and maturity in order to establish a conscious communication with the DNA. The Russian researchers work on a method that is not dependent on these factors but will ALWAYS work, provided one uses the correct frequency. But the higher developed an individual's consciousness is, the less need is there for any type of device! One can achieve these results by oneself, and science will finally stop laughing at such ideas and will confirm and explain the results. And it doesn't end there. The Russian scientists also found out that our DNA can cause disturbing patterns in the vacuum, thus producing magnetized wormholes! Wormholes are the microscopic equivalents of the so-called Einstein-Rosen bridges in the vicinity of black holes (left by burned-out stars). These are tunnel connections between entirely different areas in the universe through which information can be transmitted outside of space and time. The DNA attracts these bits of information and passes them on to our consciousness. This process of hyper- communication is most effective in a state of relaxation.Stress, worries or a hyperactive intellect prevent successful hypercommunication or the information will be totally distorted and useless. In nature, hypercommunication has been successfully applied for millions of years. The organized flow of life in insect states proves this dramatically. Modern man knows it only on a much more subtle level as "intuition". But we, too, can regain full use of it.An example from Nature: When a queen ant is spatially separated from her colony, building still continues fervently and according to plan. If the queen is killed, however, all work in the colony stops. No ant knows what to do. Apparently the queen sends the "building plans" also from far away via the group consciousness of her subjects. She can be as far away as she wants, as long as she is alive. In man hyper-communication is most often encountered when one suddenly gains access to information that is outside one's knowledge base.Such hyper-communication is then experienced as inspiration or intuition. The Italian composer Giuseppe Tartini for instance dreamt one night that a devil sat at his bedside playing the violin. The next morning Tartini was able to note down the piece exactly from memory, he called it the Devil's Trill Sonata. For years, a 42-year old male nurse dreamt of a situation in which he was hooked up to a kind of knowledge CD-ROM. Verifiable knowledge from all imaginable fields was then transmitted to him that he was able to recall in the morning. There was such a flood of information that it seemed a whole encyclopedia was transmitted at night. The majority of facts were outside his personal knowledge base and reached technical details about which he knew absolutely nothing. When hyper-communication occurs, one can observe in the DNA as well as in the human being special phenomena. The Russian scientists irradiated DNA samples with laser light. On screen a typical wave pattern was formed. When they removed the DNA sample, the wave pattern did not disappear, it remained. Many control experiments showed that the pattern still came from the removed sample, whose energy field apparently remained by itself. This effect is now called phantom DNA effect. It is surmised that energy from outside of space and time still flows through the activated wormholes after the DNA was removed. The side effect encountered most often in hyper-communication in human beings are inexplicable electromagnetic fields in the vicinity of the persons concerned.Electronic devices like CD players and the like can be irritated and cease to function for hours. When the electromagnetic field slowly dissipates, the devices function normally again. Many healers and psychics know this effect from their work. The better the atmosphere and the energy, the more frustrating it is that the recording device stops functioning and recording exactly at that moment. And repeated switching on and off after the session does not restore function yet, but next morning all is back to normal. Perhaps this is reassuring to read for many, as it has nothing to do with them being technically inept, it means they are good at hyper-communication.In their book "Vernetzte Intelligenz" (Networked Intelligence), Grazyna Gosar and Franz Bludorf explain these connections precisely and clearly. The authors also quote sources presuming that in earlier times humanity had been, just like the animals, very strongly connected to the group consciousness and acted as a group. To develop and experience individuality we humans however had to forget hyper-communication almost completely. Now that we are fairly stable in our individual consciousness, we can create a new form of group consciousness, namely one, in which we attain access to all information via our DNA without being forced or remotely controlled about what to do with that information. We now know that just as on the internet our DNA can feed its proper data into the network, can call up data from the network and can establish contact with other participants in the network.Remote healing, telepathy or "remote sensing" about the state of relatives etc. can thus be explained. Some animals know also from afar when their owners plan to return home. That can be freshly interpreted and explained via the concepts of group consciousness and hyper-communication. Any collective consciousness cannot be sensibly used over any period of time without a distinctive individuality. Otherwise we would revert to a primitive herd instinct that is easily manipulated.Hyper-communication in the new millennium means something quite different: Researchers think that if humans with full individuality would regain group consciousness, they would have a god-like power to create, alter, and shape things on Earth! AND humanity is collectively moving toward such a group consciousness of the new kind.Fifty percent of today's children will be problem children as soon as the go to school. The system lumps everyone together and demands adjustment. But the individuality of today's children is so strong that that they refuse this adjustment and giving up their idiosyncrasies in the most diverse ways.At the same time more and more clairvoyant children are born [see the book "China's Indigo Children" by Paul Dong or the chapter about Indigos in my book "Nutze die taeglichen Wunder"(Make Use of the Daily Wonders)]. Something in those children is striving more and more towards the group consciousness of the new kind, and it will no longer be suppressed! As a rule weather, for example, is rather difficult to influence by a single individual. But it may be influenced by a group consciousness (nothing new to some tribes doing it in their rain dances). Weather is strongly influenced by Earth resonance frequencies, the so-called Schumann frequencies. But those same frequencies are also produced in our brains, and when many people synchronize their thinking or individuals (spiritual masters, for instance) focus their thoughts in a laser-like fashion, then it is scientifically speaking not at all surprising if they can thus influence weather.Researchers in group consciousness have formulated the theory of Type I civilizations. A humanity that developed a group consciousness of the new kind would have neither environmental problems nor scarcity of energy. For if it were to use its mental power as a unified civilization, it would have control of the energies of its home planet as a natural consequence. And that includes all natural catastrophes!!! A theoretical Type II civilization would even be able to control all energies of their home galaxy. In my book "Nutze die taeglichen Wunder", I have described an example of this: Whenever a great many people focus their attention or consciousness on something similar like Christmas time, football world championship or the funeral of Lady Diana in England then certain random number generators in computers start to deliver ordered numbers instead of the random ones. An ordered group consciousness creates order in its whole surroundings!!!http://noosphere.princeton.edu/fristwall2.htmlWhen a great number of people get together very closely, potentials of violence also dissolve. It looks as if here, too, a kind of humanitarian consciousness of all humanity is created. At the Love Parade, for example, where every year about one million of young people congregate, there has never been any brutal riots as they occur for instance at sports events. The name of the event alone is not seen as the cause here. The result of an analysis indicated rather that the number of people was TOO GREAT to allow a tipping over to violence. To come back to the DNA: It apparently is also an organic superconductor that can work at normal body temperature. Artificial superconductors require extremely low temperatures of between 200 and 140 degrees Celsius to function. As one recently learned, all superconductors are able to store light and thus information. This is a further explanation of how the DNA can store information. There is another phenomenon linked to DNA and wormholes. Normally, these super small wormholes are highly unstable and are maintained only for the tiniest fractions of a second.Under certain conditions (read about it in the Fosar/Bludorf book above) stable wormholes can organize themselves which then form distinctive vacuum domains in which, for example, gravity can transform into electricity. Vacuum domains are self-radiant balls of ionized gas that contain considerable amounts of energy. There are regions in Russia where such radiant balls appear very often. Following the ensuing confusion the Russians started massive research programs leading finally to some of the discoveries mentions above. Many people know vacuum domains as shiny balls in the sky. The attentive look at them in wonder and ask themselves, what they could be. I thought once: "Hello up there. If you happen to be a UFO, fly in a triangle." And suddenly, the light balls moved in a triangle. Or they shot across the sky like ice hockey pucks. They accelerated from zero to crazy speeds while sliding gently across the sky.One is left gawking and I have, as many others, too, thought them to be UFOs. Friendly ones, apparently, as they flew in triangles just to please me. Now the Russians found in the regions where vacuum domains appear often that sometimes fly as balls of light from the ground upwards into the sky, that these balls can be guided by thought. One has found out since that vacuum domains emit waves of low frequency as they are also produced in our brains. And because of this similarity of waves they are able to react to our thoughts. To run excitedly into one that is on ground level might not be such a great idea, because those balls of light can contain immense energies and are able to mutate our genes. They can, they don't necessarily have to, one has to say. For many spiritual teachers also produce such visible balls or columns of light in deep meditation or during energy work which trigger decidedly pleasant feelings and do not cause any harm. Apparently this is also dependent on some inner order and on the quality and provenance of the vacuum domain. There are some spiritual teachers (the young Englishman Ananda, for example) with whom nothing is seen at first, but when one tries to take a photograph while they sit and speak or meditate in hyper-communication, one gets only a picture of a white cloud on a chair. In some Earth healing projects such light effects also appear on photographs.Simply put, these phenomena have to do with gravity and anti-gravity forces that are also exactly described in the book and with ever more stable wormholes and hyper-communication and thus with energies from outside our time and space structure. Earlier generations that got in contact with such hyper-communication experiences and visible vacuum domains were convinced that an angel had appeared before them. And we cannot be too sure to what forms of consciousness we can get access when using hyper-communication. Not having scientific proof for their actual existence (people having had such experiences do NOT all suffer from hallucinations) does not mean that there is no metaphysical background to it. We have simply made another giant step towards understanding our reality.Official science also knows of gravity anomalies on Earth (that contribute to the formation of vacuum domains), but only of ones of below one percent. But recently gravity anomalies have been found of between three and four percent. One of these places is Rocca di Papa, south of Rome (exact location in the book "Vernetzte Intelligenz" plus several others). Round objects of all kinds, from balls to full buses, roll uphill. But the stretch in Rocca di Papa is rather short, and defying logic skeptics still flee to the theory of optical illusion (which it cannot be due to several features of the location). All information is from the book "Vernetzte Intelligenz" von Grazyna Fosar und Franz Bludorf, ISBN 3930243237, summarized and commented by Baerbel. Channeling: Interdimensional FriendshipBy CC TreadwayOver the next several years, I truly believe Planet Earth, and many who reside on her, will be joining the galactic community. This has been one of my life dreams, starting as a teenager when I lived in Cuenca, Ecuador. Our friends down there told us story after story of their close encounters of the 5th dimensional kind. My brother and I were determined to see a ship and take a ride. High in the Andes we would stand on our balcony, screaming out to dark night, begging for our Star Family to communicate with us and take us home. I'm sure they wanted to talk with us, if only to tell us we had to stay on Earth, but we simply didn't know how to do it! Feeling rejected, we gave up after awhile.I have spent my whole life wanting contact, and I have spent many days gazing into the sky to catch a glimpse of a UFO. It wasn't until my last trip to Arizona, that my long held dream of seeing one came true. While driving at sunset in the desert landscape of Chino Valley, my friends and I were talking about UFO's. I said, "If you are with me you'll never see one. I have wanted to see one my whole life, but I think I must chase them away." At that moment, one of my friends said, "CC, look to your left." I looked out the window and in the distance saw what looked like to be an abnormally gigantic, shimmery, light blimp. We stopped the car. Conveniently my friend had two pairs of binoculars with her. Upon closer inspection, we could see this was no blimp. Three more appeared. They flashed in and out of view as we freaked out. I had heard about these cigar-shaped ships that patrol Earth. It was amazing. I was in a totally different state of mind than I had been at 14. By 33 I had fallen in love with Earth, humanity and the channeling process. I had been talking with interdimensional beings for years. With Pope Benedict endorsing extraterrestrial life as part of God's creation, England and France releasing their UFO files online and Stephen Spielberg's latest alien-loving-Indy-adventure, don't you get the feeling like we are being prepared for diplomatic relations with our star friends? Wouldn't it be great if many of us were prepared to open up communication? As we move into the galactic, multidimensional community, it's going to take more than our 3D skills to empower us. Channeling is one easy way to traverse a multidimensional reality. There is some controversy about channeling, but from my view, it is just interdimensional friendship. Learning how to navigate relationship through the dimensions takes practice and development, much like navigating relationships in 3D. It can be challenging, but my experience is that once you figure it out, it's a blissful breeze. You can channel anything from your Higher Self, to deceased relatives, to angels, to guides, to plants, to crystals, to intergalactic beings, to God. It's up to you. Direct contact with Spirit is your birthright. As a race we have mostly forgotten this, and so many of us are afraid of it. What if we talk to dark entities? What if we are taken over? What if I lose my grip on reality? Can I trust the information? I've heard these concerns and more, so I hope to address a few of those issues as well as lend my perspective and experience on the beauty of channeling.WHAT IS CHANNELING?My working definition is that channeling is relationship with Spirit. This can involve it speaking through you, to you, or you communicating to it. Channeling is a form of healing work, requiring that you learn how to tune your frequency to match your goal and requiring that you have integrity within the practice. It is there to assist you in your growth and the planet's growth. Guides choose to work with you because of common goals. The guides and you align your purpose together to create more peace and balance in the world and universe. When you shift your vibration and intend that a guide talk to you, you are experienced as an antenna of light, requesting clearer communication. So, if you want to talk to high level guides, (which is probably a good idea) you will practice raising your vibration by powerful meditative techniques, like chakra or merkaba spinning, heart meditations, playing music or singing, or dancing with joy; anything where you can quickly enter into an altered state. If you don't know how to tune your frequency you could start channeling lower astral energies, deceased people, or lower level guides, who while may not be "evil" may not exactly be what you are looking for. However, if you become adept at channeling, it can be useful to talk with lower level energies to find out what they want so you can ask them to leave or help them evolve, you become their guide. You can also begin to recognize who is well intentioned and evolved and who is not. If you don't practice, you will never learn the discernment necessary to traverse the worlds. Through practice, you will begin to understand how you operate at a higher vibrating level, and that higher vibrating you becomes integrated into your physical being. Your Higher Self becomes more of you, calling the shots. You walk in effortless alignment with your highest wisdom. Let me tell you, when your 3D reality is not in line with your Higher Self, but you are on the spiritual path, havoc can be created in order for you to learn lessons and get you on track. The more you are communicating as one with your Higher Self, the less trauma you are in for.One thing I have learned over the years is that everyone can channel. I teach workshops regularly and no one has walked out not being able to do it. But, you must learn the way in which you communicate. Some people receive images and visual stories, some feelings, art or music, and some words. Some do a combination. Over time you can learn how to receive all ways. Your guides are working with you during your most creative moments, sending thought or feeling impulses to you to inspire you and push you to the next level. One of the most joyful experiences for me is watching my students receive this connection for the first timeHOW DO YOU REMAIN EMPOWERED WHEN CHANNELING?There are a few great ways to do this.1. Set your intention to be the one in charge.2. Intend that all channeling be done through your Higher Self or Creator.3. Intend that all guides you channel be for your highest good and development. High level guides have no interest in dominating or overtaking you. When channeling your guides or Higher Self, the information coming through should match the frequency of your soul, providing a resonance that establishes further self contact. It is this resonance that allows you to stay present and in control, so you are not dominated by the energy you are channeling. You know you are losing contact with yourself and your guide when the channeling loses that special energy, the words are not effective, it becomes negative or you get sleepy or bored. Some would say not to let a guide speak through you. But I would guess they never had a high level guide communicating profound words of love and even more profound frequencies of love and ecstasy through their body. Would I do that first? No, but over time, you will recognize when you can simply allow the blessed energy of a high level guide in your body and field.THE NAME GAME: ARE MY GUIDES FAMOUS?You wont always get a name for your guide(s). Names are not a big deal in the other dimensions and if they do give you a name, it's most likely because it sounds right for you. It's not something to get stuck on. But then there are the famous guides, the Ascended Masters and Angels who do like to pop in. We all like being recognized by famous people, so if they don't just come to you, call them in! But don't get attached to the name or reputation of your guide. Just enjoy the connection and the lessons. Unlike Hollywood, you don't have to know someone or be famous yourself to connect with the Ascended Masters. We all are special in Creator's eyes and deserve guidance. Taking this further, it is important to stay grounded with this work, to continue to enjoy the presence of your friends on earth. The best use for channeling is using what you've learned to make a better life in the physical both for yourself and humanity.HOW DO YOU KNOW IF WHAT YOU ARE CHANNELING IS REAL OR MADE UP?At first, you don't, and you shouldn't expect it. You just have to practice as much as possible. Over time, you can see the areas that were accurate, and the ones that weren't. You can remember what it felt like to channel the accurate information, and what it felt like to channel the inaccurate information. Ask questions that do not hold a lot of charge for you. In other words, if you are dying to get married and you have just met someone you are very attracted to, you probably shouldn't start with, "Will Betty and I get married?" It's a loaded question, you are invested in the outcome, and your emotional energy will be stronger than your clarity. Chances are you will hear, "Yes, Yes, a thousand times yes!!" Or, "No way, she's a man eater just like all the others!" After awhile, however, you can ask these questions and expect to get good answers. You and your guides will be very familiar with each other. Of course the answers will be growth focused, so you might not hear a yes or no, but a lesson in discernment and patience. One of the best ways to get immediate feedback is by channeling for others. My students are always surprised at how they are able to do meaningful and relevant channelings for others on their first try.Guidance from high level guides is always uplifting and always about your growth. You will not be protected from a difficult lesson if it is the best way for you to learn it. Your Higher Self is calling the shots, so as I mentioned before, getting to know and integrate that part of you is essential for an easier ride.DEALING WITH "LOWER LEVEL" BEINGSDisclaimer: I do not really see things as lower and higher, its just that English doesn't offer great alternatives and everyone understands this hierarchal setup. That being said, just like in 3D, there are all kinds out there! Better to know what to do when you encounter a being that is not for your highest good. You simply say, "No thank you," dismiss them and raise your vibration more to attract a higher level guide. Trust your intuition on this one. High-level guides always uplift you. If you feel confused by the energy you are communicating with, better to dismiss it and raise your vibration. Again, over time you will gain the understanding of how to distinguish energies, and attune yourself accordingly. You may channel unhealed energies and you may even take them on. It's helpful to work with a supervising healer or teacher who is more knowledgeable than you to get you through the rough spots. You will learn and become more and more empowered. I recently channeled a lower level, very angry being. I dismissed him and raised my vibration, nobody got hurt. I learned what it felt like to do that, to trust myself more and to develop more confidence. If you are further interested in dealing with entity attachment, please read this article: http://spiritofmaat.com/apr08/needy_greedy.html.SELF CAREWhenever you consistently raise your vibration, you need to support yourself on a physical level. You will need more nutrition, especially your minerals. Fulvic and Humic acids are the best way to re-mineralize after channeling. Exercise keeps you strong and grounded, the stronger you are, the higher the vibration you can channel. Contact with Nature keeps you energized, grounded and supported. Once you have opened up these psychic connections, you must be careful with whom you spend your time, how you manage your energy and your drug and alcohol intake should all but stop. Oftentimes when you are channeling your guide team will sneak in DNA upgrades, vibrational promotions or other healings. Be prepared to listen to your body's needs as it handles these transitions. The most important thing is to remember that you are still a human being and so you need to pay attention to your body and your human relationships to stay grounded.HOW TO CHANNELAs with any spiritual teaching, it is best learned when the teaching is passed on to you in person. This is because all of the energy and protection that the teacher has, and their teachers have, comes with the technique. You will have more energy and support and it will be easier to do. So, if you have someone in your community who teaches it, go and do it. When I teach my classes, I lead people through a ceremony to meet their guide. This sets a sacred container for growth and empowerment. But, I will give a simplified version of channeling so you are aware of the general process. Technique and process will vary with different teachers and traditions. The first step, as always, is setting sacred space and protection. I have found calling the in the directions to be the most effective methods for protection. If you do not already do this, go to a ceremony with strong Elders and have the teaching passed to you. If you channel on a daily basis, you do not always have to make a big production out of creating sacred space, it is something that you begin to carry within, and your intention can create a circle of protection quickly and effectively. After creating your sacred space, use your favorite meditative practice to alter your consciousness. With your intention, call in the highest level guide to assist you in your growth at this time. Ask that this guide be approved by your Higher Self, and that it speak through your Higher Self to you. Take a pen and paper, write a question, and let your mind go as your pen begins to write the words. This is a telepathic communication, so you wont necessarily hear the words like you would in life. It's a delicate balance of tuning out your mind and surrendering to the telepathic thought impulses, as well as staying present and empowered in your body.As you write, the first words may come out jarbled, or poetic. Don't judge, just keep writing. Learn how it feels to surrender to the experience without giving up your power. When it comes to your body, you call the shots. You can use your intention to call in many different types of beings and dimensions. You will find that guides will come to you and want to talk. You can try speaking the words instead of writing. More energy will flow and it's easier to tune out your mind and enjoy the process. Guides will send thought impulses, images, memories and emotions to help you. You can sing it, play it, speak it, draw it, or create it in any medium. They use what is already in your mind to create a new perspective or lesson. So the more you grow and learn, the more they have to work with and the more energy you can handle. Then practice a lot.You will notice when you channel that it is easy to shift your vibration. This is because your guide is sending you a boost of energy to assist in shifting your consciousness, making you more receptive to the channeling. A relationship begins to develop. Each time you channel it becomes easier and easier.I practiced every morning for months before I could see patterns. After about two years of channeling, my healer downloaded a new technique from my guides to help me open even more. He helped create a clearer pathway and I was off and running. After that session the words flowed like a regular conversation and I began to offer one on one channeling sessions and group channelings. I was able to tune out my own personal agenda completely and ask difficult questions. More importantly, I was able to accept answers that led me in a totally different direction than I had wanted to go.WHAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM CHANNELINGTo try and summarize all that I have learned would be impossible. But, I think the coolest part of it was feeling like I was in a mystery school designed specifically for me. My Higher Self and guides taught me how to develop psychic skills and healing skills, how to shift from linear thinking to spherical thinking, they especially helped me with relationships and not defaulting into old patterns. They helped me get out of my projected idea of how the healing process should look, and showed me how it actually works for me. After a few years of channeling, I made deal with my Higher Self and guide team that they would tell me if a man was a good potential mate, since I seemed to not be able to do that myself. They meticulously told me, most of the time crushing my spirits, but they were always right and each time I learned a deeper lesson about my own patterning. What an empowering process! Now I no longer need to ask, I learned it.They helped me develop even deeper contact with my soul, my essence and my purpose. They helped me with self-confidence in my healing practice and are always there to call on if I need spiritual supervision with clients before or after a session. Most importantly, I became confident in my unique and personal way of communicating with and relating to spirituality. I feel comforted and taken care of at all times, deeply loved, important and part of Creator's expression. My ability to feel my own divinity has multiplied a thousand times over. I never feel alone and I trust myself. These days my channeling has opened up to galactic service. With the presence of Star Family all around us, I already feel part of the galactic community, prepared and educated for the upcoming changes. I am able to access my direct connection to Spirit and information whenever I need, never relying on another's words, but empowered enough in my own abilities to be able to discern what I can take in from other's wisdom.Channeling is your ticket to mastering how to shift your vibration to access different realities, different guides and beings and bring it all into the awareness of your heart. Instead of feeling like you are in a million places at once, it all gets reconciled in the non- dualistic, all encompassing space of the heart. You are literally experiencing the universe within. The outer becomes the inner and vice versa. To me this is freedom.Copywrite 2008 CC Treadway. All rights reserved.

Mentalism — First of the Seven Hermetic Lawsby Bruce Rawles(This article was excerpted and adapted from the upcoming book, "The Geometry Code: Symbolic Wisdom of Natural Laws Within Us" by Bruce Rawles, available soon from Elysian Publishing. This is the second of eight articles; you might want to first read the initial article in the series to get the context for this one."All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: They have their exits and their entrances." — William ShakespeareThe Seven Hermetic LawsAncient Hermetic principles were allegedly sealed except to those with eyes to see and ears to hear. Perhaps the importance of timeless laws, like the profound wisdom that can be found in even the simplest of every day geometric symbols, is hidden in plain sight. This series of articles links the metaphysical implications of seven Hermetic Laws with seven ubiquitous symbols, each of which have countless variations that appear in our familiar physical world, ever present reminders of the vibrant, lucid presence we all share that leads us to the unimaginably wonderful truth about ourselves. The symbols chosen for these articles were inspired by a book called the Kybalion: A Study of the Hermetic Philosophy of Ancient Egypt and Greece by the Three Initiates, originally published in 1912, an unassuming work that explains the Seven Natural (or Hermetic) Laws of Truth, attributed to the wisdom of ancient Egypt. The seven symbols in the illustrations for each article each represent one of these natural laws, which are stated as: Mentalism, Correspondence, Vibration, Polarity, Rhythm, Cause & Effect, and Generation or Gender. The meaning behind the symbols — the laws involved in every aspect of our lives — is what is most important; the symbols are merely placeholders, just as our physical lives represent the infinite, multidimensional nature of our souls. As magnificent and boggling as our physical bodies and this material Universe appear to be, they are but shadows of the even greater awe-inspiring reality of our meta-personal, holographic, multi-dimensional existence. The bodies we tend to be preoccupied with, and the thoughts we tend to obsess over and identify with, are like droplets and waves, respectively, in the vast ocean of our true, boundless selves.Recent popularity of books, DVDs and other media such as "The Secret", "What The Bleep", "The Da Vinci Code", "A New Earth", and countless others attest to our innate yearning to more deeply understand and integrate timeless laws of truth; to make meaningful application of cosmic principles as they pertain to our lives as beings within the realm of human experience. Our true unlimited selves intrinsically want to go beyond the confines of the paradigm of the limited egoic self. The experience of transcendence is beyond what we can describe with words or even symbols, yet when we pay attention to how our lives and everything in them participates in the unyielding drama of natural law, we begin to notice patterns that can be generalized, abstracted and distilled into rules that apply any where, and any when to taking us "home" (where we've always been) and awaken us to our eternal inheritance… a world forever free and at peace. The images we recognize as global symbols can reflect deeper understanding that exists within us all. Symbols, interpreted by a mind trained to relinquish addictions (or aversions) to isolated places and conditions, can remind us of a philosophical system of alchemy we can apply to any situation, as we forgive ourselves for identifying ourselves with the transient and petty. This is the alchemy of transmuting base experiences of 3-D life on planet Earth (the illusion of separation) into the golden understanding of the truth of our selves as co-creators, inseparable with the infinite. Symbols can act as signposts — mirrors of our awareness of interconnectedness — as we explore our own consciousness, recognize the interwoven context of inner and outer worlds, experience the amazingly diverse spectra of life, learn to transcend polarized thinking and feeling by allowing more compassion for ourselves and others, flow more effortlessly with the rhythms that life presents at every turn, become more adept at harnessing the stupendous fractal web of our individual and collective choices, and integrate the balancing lessons that come from grateful acknowledgment of the omnipresent creative wisdom in all life. The Law of Mentalism (Self Fulfilling Prophecy) — Keyword: LifeThe first of the seven laws or principles is given the name Mentalism in the Kybalion, along with the phrase "THE ALL is MIND; The Universe is Mental.""Everything you perceive is a witness to the thought system you want to be true."…"You see what you expect, and you expect what you invite. Your perception is a result of your invitation."… "There is nothing outside you." … "Minds are joined; bodies are not. …"You can enslave a body, but an idea is free, incapable of being kept in prison or limited in any way except by the mind that thought it. For it remains joined to its source, which is its jailer or its liberator, according to which it chooses as its purpose for itself."— A Course In Miracles, Text, pages 192, 214, 358, 359 and 374, respectively"The Cosmos is an utterly malleable experience that feeds back to us what we want to perceive." — Chris LadueThe law of Mentalism encompasses our entire thought system (a.k.a. reality), whether it be based on the truth that transcends the veils of space and time or the minuscule fragment of our personal experience, blinding ourselves to 'droplet perspective' in the midst of 'oceanic vastness'. This law, like the other six, applies to everything … there isn't any "thing" that doesn't exist apart from, or outside of mind. Every virtual reality movie you've seen has been telling you the truth (at least in this one respect); namely, that your so-called external world is fabricated from the perceptions you have invited through your thoughts and feelings, accumulated into ideas, beliefs, biases and points of view. This is how we can have about 7 billion humans, seemingly sharing the same planet, yet frequently embracing VERY different perspectives; we're all projecting different parts of the same holographic illusion from the lamps of our fragmented minds onto the screen of 3D manifestation. The Sufi story about the blind men and the elephant fits very well here; one blind man feels the elephant's ear and describes the animal as flat and thin, another, touching a leg relates that it is thick and cylindrical, yet another grasping the tail says that the elephant is like a rope. Each one, within the limited context of their finite senses, shares an incomplete, yet somewhat valid piece of the whole. None of them realizes that their own biases paint the same entity as different, while in fact; they are just isolated (and distorted) aspects of a greater truth. As we remember to apply this principle more routinely, we empower and bless our lives with much more compassion, tolerance, and genuine forgiveness (based on seeing "others" as "self", with nothing "out there" to forgive in the fleeting ephemera of events)! The Ineffable Oneness of All Life"If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite." — William Blake"You are a non-local being, having a local experience." — Gary RenardFathoming the infinite nature of mind and consciousness is somewhat akin to the perennial conundrum of asking a fish to describe water; we exist in a limitless ocean of mental energy, which includes feeling, thought, and expectation. Pure consciousness is at our center, the ineffable quintessence of life at the focus of each being. Mystical traditions inform us that all matter is permeated with consciousness, the one foundational principle that science tries in vain to localize in the context of an assumed finite material reference frame. Our prime awareness, eternal, unchanging in a Universe of change, defies definition, just as multiplying or dividing by infinity transcends rational logic. The Point and The Circle: Encompassing Nothing and Everything"A human being is a part of the whole, called by us, 'Universe,' a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest -- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us.Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. No body is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security." — Albert Einstein"We are the prisoners of the prisoners we have taken." — Johnny Clegg & Savuka (lyrics to the song "Jericho")The infinitesimal central point within a circle or sphere, whether explicit or implied, is the core of the singularity of our consciousness, existing within the realms of dimensions, yet dimensionless. Surrounding this pure consciousness is our sphere of awareness. From infancy, our domain expands from room to home to neighborhood to city to province to country to planet to galaxy and beyond; each sphere occupying a greater realm in our minds. Does the Universe exist in our imagination, or does our imagination exist in the Universe? Perhaps, as modern physics may suggest, we're living in a virtual reality film where we are the scriptwriters, directors, actors, choreographers, makeup artists, special effect technicians and we even do all our own stunts! The light at the end of the tunnel might just be the bulb in the projector of our consciousness, illuminating our path forever — the one steadfast, unchanging anchor in an unimaginably vast cosmic ocean of change. The knowingness that the "I AM" identity never changes, regardless of which act we play in, regardless of changes in the supporting cast, scenery, or other props, gives us an unshakable serene foundation to embrace all of life as the adventure that it is. The drama of human existence — in all its myriad forms — revolves around the spiritual center that is within you and every soul that has ever walked this planet. The nested shells of reality that surround us can be convincing illusions, yet the master key remains within, where the light of our central sun originates, the source of our oneness. The point at the center of the circle might represent the point of light (our mental focus) within us that either projects the "darkness" (incomplete 'droplet' of finite perception) or the radiant glow that fills the Universe with the calm knowingness and certainty of infinite wholeness — the complete 'ocean' of loving kindness that resides within the heart of all life. The circle, itself a limit-busting symbol since it contains the transcendental Pi proportion, appears to be finite, yet there are an infinite number of degrees around its perimeter, if one cared to keep adjusting the angle from the center more and more finely. It is also a singularity, in that it holds this infinity in a seemingly finite space. An effective tool for vaporizing paradoxes is to allow one's mind to consider the ultimate conclusion modern quantum physics moves us inexorably toward: the notion that space and time are truly bogus, fraudulent, or at the very least, incomplete models of reality; take any puzzle or challenge, from the most arcane to the most personal, and ask yourself if your issue is still an issue if space and time were abolished. This takes practice, but it could well be a universal solvent for any unsolvable problem… Try it! :-) It certainly knocks the wind out of any "we/they" paradigm, which in itself goes a long way toward healing the dis-ease of seeming separation.Mental Models:Identification with our shared Infinite Self or isolated finite selves"If you would be a real seeker after truth, it is necessary that at least once in your life you doubt, as far as possible, all things." Lesson 2, Workbook — Rene Descartes"You are a non-local being, having a local experience." — Gary Renard"I know I'm not seeing thing as they are, I'm seeing things as I am." — Laurel LeeThe bulk of this article describes the theory of the law of Mentalism and how our expectations operate an amazing factory that delivers our "reality" regardless of how we define it, 24/7, flawlessly in accord with the inner blueprint we authorize. The "lab assignment" for this law is basically to be kind to ourselves (to recognize the principle of Mentalism) — that all exists in our mind … at our request! — Every time we see or think about a point, a circle, a sphere or lines of light radiating out from a center, whether it is a light bulb, the sun or the smile from the next person you meet! We can use these mnemonic tools for the purpose of slowly but surely overhauling our beliefs, perceptions and projections into form for our benefit (as modern physics suggests we do every instant — see the prior article) into a happier illusion (since anything less than the totality of all life beyond space and time is necessarily incomplete) We might want to keep this law "in mind" :-)Copywrite 2008 Bruce Rawles. Correspondence — Second of the Seven Hermetic Lawsby Bruce Rawles(This article was excerpted and adapted from the upcoming book, "The Geometry Code: Symbolic Wisdom of Natural Laws Within Us" by Bruce Rawles, available soon from Elysian Publishing. This is the third of eight articles; you might want to first read the initial article in the series and the prior article on the Law of Mentalism to get the context for this one."What do you forgive? Well, it's simple. Whatever comes up in front of your face on any given day, that's what you're supposed to forgive. It's not a mystery; it's always right there in front of you. You may think you can't see what's in your unconscious mind; well, you don't have to. All you have to see is the symbolic representation of it that is being presented to you right now... symbolic of that which already exists in your own unconscious mind. As you forgive that, you're REALLY forgiving yourself."— Gary Renard, The End of ReincarnationThe Law of Correspondence (Mirrors, Lenses, Echoes and Projections) — Keyword: LoveThe second of the seven laws or principles is given the name Correspondence in the Kybalion, along with the phrase "As above, so below; as below, so above." A detailed quotation follows: "Just as a knowledge of the Principles of Geometry enables man to measure distant suns and their movements, while seated in his observatory, so a knowledge of the Principle of Correspondence enables Man to reason intelligently from the Known to the Unknown." — The KybalionThe law of Correspondence, combined with the law of Mentalism covered in the previous chapter, offers us the liberating insight (IF we pay attention :-) that the Universe mirrors the models and belief structures that exist within our imagination; it is a reflection of a steady flow of holographic projections we call perception. The staggering implications from post-Newtonian physics (which we'll review briefly below), suggest that if no one is around, trees falling in the forest really don't make a sound! We are required to "breathe life" into our chosen "reality". An obvious extrapolation of this Hermetic gem might be "As within, so without." The corollary "As without, so within", while extremely popular, is actually more like putting the cart before the horse, since the outer is a reflection of the inner. Sure, we can use the rear view mirror to keep where we've been in perspective, but driving is far more fun — and much safer! — while maintaining the focus on what is directly in front of us. In this metaphor, we're paying attention to what is within to address what is 'front and center', rather than what the machinery of the physical Universe has already fabricated as effect, and has already passed by on life's interstate (or interstellar, depending the pace we're trying to maintain!) highway. The crucial ingredient, as stated in my previous article, is the THOUGHT SYSTEM we use to assign meaning to the perceptions. If we tightly grasp onto our individual (finite, separate) perspective, we inevitably distort, omit and filter the feedback we get and keep ourselves lost in the labyrinthine illusion of form, space, and time. Staying vested in the ego interests and identification with our 'special' personal stories, we usually miss the exquisite lessons all around us. With the right attitude (as any pilot knows when their airplane's control surfaces are properly trimmed), a plane will essentially fly itself. The same applies to the thought system of wholeness; we'll arrive where we need to be, if we just trust the intrinsic design of our internal guidance system. (It doesn't matter if we call it conscience, eternal intuition, or cosmic inspiration. What is important is the practice of heeding the inner promptings to achieve harmony (like the non-resistance of a superconductor to 'what is') by a two-step process:1) Relinquishing the hopeless, pathetic belief that our finite senses are giving us the whole picture; this leads to the realization that what we perceive "outside" in the realm of 3D space is all made up anyway and not worth getting upset about, and2) Realizing that with the help of the above insight about space, we can apply this to time as well. We're just experiencing echoes of the past bouncing around us as a grand distraction from what is going on within us, gently prompting us to 'step away from the grievance and no one will get hurt.'Or, by using another well known 2-step process:"Don't Sweat the Small Stuff — and it's all small stuff." — Richard CarlsonThis kind of transpersonal forgiving is not based on the idea of believing that something "outside us" is real and then having to somehow un-believe it. That approach is flawed from the outset. The elephant will still be in the room; no matter how much "invisible paint" we can throw at it! Rather, the true strength that arises from trusting an identity beyond the little self stuck in the dream is a lucid awakening to the responsibility of our part in having made up what merely appears to the fleeting senses (nothing really there to forgive) and then calmly laughing at the folly of it all, no longer frightened by phantoms in a dream. In either case, we have the opportunity to learn from what is mirrored and projected outward from our unconscious mind. If we look through the lens of quantum forgiveness (the pure non-dualistic thought system of wholeness), we begin to dismantle the attachments and aversions that keep us stuck in less-than-wonderful dreams. If we look through the lens of blame, regret, annoyance, and special-ness (the usual dualistic not-so-merry-go-round thought system of we-they duality), we keep going around and around until we attain the golden ring of truth that lets all our internal hostages go free (and frees us in the process, regardless of whether or not 'anyone else' seems to benefit.) It's really the same lens, same situation, same everything — just the thought system of kindness or grudge-ness that makes the difference.Making It All Up As We Go Along: Quantum Entanglement"One of the most surprising discoveries of modern physics is that objects aren't as separate as they may seem. When you drill down into the core of even the most solid-looking material, separateness dissolves. All that remains, like the smile of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, are relationships extending curiously throughout space and time. These connections were predicted by quantum theory and were called "spooky action at a distance" by Albert Einstein. One of the founders of quantum theory, Erwin Schrodinger, dubbed this peculiarity entanglement, saying "I would not call that one but rather the characteristic trait of quantum mechanics." — Dean Radin"Everything seems to interact with everything else at many subtle levels of the universe beyond the purely physical level, and the deeper we penetrate into these levels, the more do we realize that we are One." — William Tiller, from the Preface to Stalking the Wild Pendulum by Itzhak Bentov. What great fun and relief to learn that the bastions of modern science and their advocates support our best interests by telling us our locus of transformation is INSIDE, not OUTSIDE us. We CAN make a difference in our own lives; what a concept! :-) In fact, that concept is reinforced at every turn by reminding us that THERE ISN'T AN OUTSIDE! So what does that mean for each of "us"? Basically it boils down to the fact that no amount of magical thinking is going to overhaul our reality from the outside, and make our problems disappear, because they don't exist 'out there' anyway! The fact that paired electrons change their spin instantaneously, with no apparent mechanism to explain this communication was quite a shock to the physicists who met in Copenhagen a few decades ago to share this discovery and ponder it's staggering aftermath. This pairing has been repeated time after time in the laboratory. Nowadays quantum entanglement is generally recognized as fact, yet, for most of us in the quantum age, the implications are conveniently ignored when it comes to applying this Universal interconnectedness on a personal level.Like contractors who build houses as if the earth were flat, we generally live our lives as if post-Newtonian physics hadn't happened … as if our selected thoughts, feelings, beliefs and attitudes about our "reality" didn't have any bearing on the quality of our experience of life. The Newtonian 'cop out' is to behave as if the billiard balls don't affect each other, and as if the ecologically challenged behaviors on one side of the planet don't influence "the other side" of the planet.Quantum Forgiveness: Applied Hermetic Savvy"In truth, there is nothing but love, all else is illusion." — Dr. John F. Demartini"Everything is a message; Everything is a symbol; Everything is a dream"— Life from 'Remembering Our Future'; Trance Zen DanceAre you scared yet? If the awesome responsibility of one's mind and its projections hasn't fully registered, just follow the McFerrin prescription: Don't worry. Be happy! If we butterflies don't get into a frenetic flapping frenzy, we won't need to be concerned about triggering a hurricane somewhere "else." Nurturing the roots of calmness where right here, not only triggers the domino-toppling process of future beneficial mirrored events, but also anchors us with the deep oceanic serenity to weather any seemingly external storm. (How's that for mixing a few metaphors! :-) Put more simply: if we keep our cool in the face of life's events, we'll be using the combined best practices of applied quantum physics and transpersonal psychology to attain spiritual liberation by recalling oneness with our source. If we're going to be navigating life's ocean of experience anyway, why not take a relaxing internal cruise than climbing into the leaky raft of allowing external circumstances to dampen our spirits; greeting just this present moment with the objectivity of a lucid dreamer, rather than trying to confront the entirety of the past and future, affords us the luxury of being completely OK with what is (or in truth, since we don't see the whole cosmic panorama, what appears to be). How does this attitude show up in our everyday lives? By realizing that we "get to" rather than "have to" attend to every situation, moment by moment, that arises — not with the drudgery of obligation which attends resenting a nightmare we may have fabricated eons ago, but with the fresh, joyous alacrity of not taking the illusion too seriously as the reflections of past thinking and feeling float by us. No matter how bleak things seem to be going around us, we always have the CHOICE of correcting errors where they occur — within our own minds. This is really a tremendously practical application of Einstein's famous quote: "The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them." The crucial level to be on to solve any problem, it turns out, is to be on the level (or thought system) of wholeness. In this mode, problems are seen as internal (something we can change rather than being at the whim of "another") and also as ephemeral (which knock the fleeting wind out of the sails of the appearance of the problem). Ironically, by letting go of our identification with the level of form (including our bodies and the physical circumstances of our familial, social, political, biological and other environments) we can then be the most effective BECAUSE we're working where we can make a difference, our inner calm within propagating to what appears around us. Have you noticed that folks who maintain graceful composure despite seeming chaos generally are the ones who can be counted on when things seem a bit crazy?Another clue about our problems in Einstein's quote above is that "… we created them." If we are making this Universe up, we can make it up differently. In fact, we evidently have 10^44 opportunities per second to make up the big cosmic hologram from scratch (the Planck Constant). So if you think you don't have any time to choose differently, you can remember a '1' with 44 zeroes after it, and remind yourself that you've had that many chances to re-envision your life from quarks to galaxies … in the past second! This quantum forgiveness always helps us by collapsing the illusion of separation, regardless of what seems to be going on around us. Gradually, we develop a habit of forgiving ourselves for making it all up (the illusion) and then what's left is the reality, love of the non-local, non-temporal variety. The trick is to loosen our grip on our invested judgments, perceptions and beliefs in separation that keep us on opposite sides of the fence — the particular fence doesn't matter. With space dissolved as a concept, practicing the Golden Rule eases into divine Self-interest, because the Self we're identifying with has no room for petty, isolated "droplet" thinking, it is that Self that realizes it can't exist without the ocean.Happy Dream Data and Input/Output ProcessingLove is a cohesive force that holds things in relatedness, so by seeing relationships you are participating in the love activity of the universe." — Viola Petitt Neal, PhD & Shafica Karagulla, M.D., Through the Curtain"If you do not have the capacity to love yourself, then there is simply no basis on which to build a sense of caring towards others." … "Without inner peace, it is impossible to have world peace." — Dalai Lama"What you think of me is none of my business." — Terry Cole-WhittakerAnother pragmatic application of the law of Correspondence is discipline in our "input" and "output" functions. As infinite beings, we really are so much more than glorified computing machines. Yet we can benefit from cybernetic wisdom by objectively looking at our inputs and outputs. We can start with the latter, because that is more obviously something we have plenty of say in what we transmit to our "world" — what we think, feel, do, say and "broadcast to our network." Regardless of whether anyone "else" seems to be receiving our messages, WE receive them as we register and especially reinforce our thoughts, etc. Our internal correspondence always keeps a "copy of the outgoing mail" so to speak. This relates to the importance of using conscious language, and paying attention to "heart language" at least as much as "head language." If we feel free and joyous in what we share, we can be certain that our inner quality meter is solidly in the "green" range. No one needs to tell us when we express something doesn't feel up to the caliber of our benevolent potential. In general, it would seem that we're taught to underestimate the importance of our "outgoing" signal and its ramifications.Conversely, as a culture, we seem to be seduced into the trance (from day one) of believing that whatever our senses gather is to be taken as gospel, despite our understanding of how easily our limited senses can be deceived or even just fooled with no malevolent intent by inadequate info. After all, we just get the most minuscule tidbits of highly filtered and processed data through our local space-time apparatus. For example, when was the last time you watched in-depth news coverage from Alpha Centauri, our nearest star? Yet we get all excited about how much we think we know about the cosmos and even try to close the patent office from time to time, since we've obviously got it all figured out! Who are we fooling? :-) Fortunately, by OBJECTIVELY accepting our sensory data at face value as just being OK for what it is, we can eventually learn to be free from the compulsion to obsessively analyze, categorize and react to all the interpretive tendencies our little egoic selves have.As Don Miguel Ruiz suggests, we don't have to take anything personally! This becomes much easier if we don't routinely identify with a localized, limited-to-a-human-body type self. As A Course in Miracles suggests, instead of being the slave to knee-jerk reactions to what appears around us, we can see all life as either expressions of love or asking for love. The beauty of this orientation is that it automatically aligns us with optimal compassion for others and ourselves, minimizes the distortion and the enormous effort involved in trying to figure it all out by ourselves! Our suffering disappears when we give up the Herculean task of keeping score of grievances and demanding retribution for what ultimately doesn't matter anyway! :-)We're NOT responsible for what others "send or receive", but we certainly are response-able for what we do (or don't do) in response to the "outer" world… A big part of the key to happiness is "non-attachment to outcomes"; this applies to family belief systems, community interactions, global and regional cultural belief systems. This non-attachment evolves as we practice relinquishing the belief that our "inputs" are more important than our "outputs." This is somewhat analogous to saying that steering your ship is not only more effective, but more fun than cursing the currents of wind or water that happen to be in evidence. When we respond to inspiration, feeling the complete-within-itself joy of integrity, our dreams become happier, and we move more swiftly to awakening altogether.Octaves, Supersets, Transmutation,Harmonious Inspiration and Inclusive EncompassingThe best way to influence 'above or below' is to model the desired behaviors by example; live your truth. The same issues, in essence, are available on every level; we all have the opportunity and responsibility to make a positive difference, starting with "numero uno." Following inner guidance is akin to listening to the subtle overtones and harmonics in music that relate to the same notes on the lower octaves. More examples of inspirations that relate to the law of correspondence are shared lucid dreams, intuitive flashes, muse virtuosity, psychometry, psychokinesis, telepathy, and "the clairs": clairvoyance, clairaudience, and clairsentience. Again, the phenomena aren't worth getting hung up on, but listening to the content, assisted by our inner metapersonal guidance, is of paramount importance. We'll all arrive "home" eventually, but why delay the process when so much insight is all around and (more importantly!) within us.Another way of incorporating the benefits of the law of correspondence is to think in terms of the most universal, global and abstract. This minimizes re-learning when conditions subject to space, time, or cultural whim change. Learning a more encompassing law is like working within a larger jurisdiction, using a law that supercedes less inclusive ones. Another example from physics is the Lorentz Transformation, a factor in the equation that includes both older Newtonian models and newer Einsteinian ones as well. The take home lesson here is that by aiming for truths and certainties that are eternally unyielding and steadfastly loyal, we identify with spirit and simplify what we need to keep track of. If we incorporate wisdom that integrates insights of heart and head, macro and micro, above and below, we live in great grace and simplicity.Synchronicity and Co-incidenceSynchronicity may be another way of saying that patterns that exist (in dimensions and realities we don't generally recognize) have profound and meaningful relationships for us and with us. If we're alert to the clues all around and within us, we can use ANY circumstance or experience to lead us to the wisdom of fun "Aha moment!" revelations. With practice, we can expect the unexpected, and see subtle cues for kindness and forgiveness opportunities we might otherwise have missed. Clues are "hidden" in everything, not just in geometric shapes! :-)Self-Reference"Those closest to us are the brightest mirrors of ourselves we can find." — Patricia Sun"Nothing happens in living nature that is not in relation to the whole." — GoetheFractals are examples of self-referential patterns... Each small portion is connected to, and often resembles the larger whole. Oriental medicine uses acupuncture points on the ear, hand, foot, etc. each of which correspond to internal organs and exemplify the fractality of biological life, which in turn is a mirror of a more fundamental principle of inter-relatedness. Families, communities, roots, branches, coastlines, nervous systems & networks of many types exhibit patterns and behaviors that tend to look the same... ... regardless of how far one zooms in or out.The Vesica Piscis: The lens of perception;projection of separation or extension of oneness"To see a world in a grain of sand,And a heaven in a wild flower,Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,And eternity in an hour."— William Blake, Auguries of Innocence"I am so small I can barely be seen. How can this great love be inside me? Look at your eyes. They are small, but they see enormous things." — Jelauddin RumiThe Vesica Piscis (also called the almond or mandorla) is the shape formed by the intersection of two identical circles where the border of each circle touches the heart or center of the other. We see this shape in the human eye, our mouths, the stomata (respiratory orifice) of plants, the template for mitosis (when cells divide in all biological life), and even in the distant Hourglass Nebula. In art ranging from Renaissance masterpieces to the Chalice Well in Glastonbury, and countless other examples, we see this familiar shape that represents communication, communion, common ground, shared vision, and mutual understanding. For the mirror of the soul, the spiritual significance is "seeing eye to eye," allowing ourselves to embrace the aura that transfigures seeming isolation into intrinsic oneness. The next time you see the vesical shape in an eye, let it be a mnemonic aid for recalling that you are seeing your inner world projected outwardly. Compassion is inevitable from this perspective. When one also incorporates the thought system of our real, metapersonal Self, this kindness can't help but reflect, mirror, echo and convey the unlimited loving generosity and forgiving whole-heartedness of who we truly are!Copywrite 2008 Bruce Rawles. Vibration — Third of the Seven Hermetic Lawsby Bruce Rawles(This article was excerpted and adapted from the upcoming book, "The Geometry Code: Symbolic Wisdom of Natural Laws Within Us" by Bruce Rawles, available soon from Elysian Publishing. This is the fourth of eight articles; you might want to first read the initial article in the series and the prior article on the Law of Mentalism and Law of Correspondence to get the context for this one."Listen-perhaps you catch a hint of an ancient state not quite forgotten; dim, perhaps, and yet not altogether unfamiliar, like a song whose name is long forgotten; and the circumstances in which you heard completely unremembered. Not the whole song has stayed with you, but just a little wisp of melody, attached not to a person or a place or anything particular. But you remember, from just this little part, how lovely was the song, how wonderful the setting where you heard it, and how you loved those who were there and listened with you."— from The Forgotten Song (Chap. 21) from the text of A Course In MiraclesThe Law of Vibration (Light, Sound, and other Senses … and Stillness) — Keyword: StrengthThe third of the seven laws or principles is given the name Vibration in the Kybalion, along with the phrase "Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates." — The KybalionPhysics teaches us that all of our senses have a vibrational aspect in one way or another. Sound and light are the obvious examples as they correspond to the spectra of acoustical pressure and electromagnetic energy — we hear about 10 octaves and see about 1 octave respectively, out of what are probably infinite spectra. The other three senses of taste, smell and touch also (when analyzed in terms of the biochemistry involved) can be thought of in terms of vibratory phenomena, harmonics, overtones and phase relationships and amplitudes, just as our two primary senses are. We typically spend most of our time involved with our sensory world, in one form or another, yet the evidence from the biological and physical sciences tell us that all of our perceptions are quite limited (1 tiny octave or 10 out of an infinite number) and unreliable (just look at the wide assortment of optical illusions for example.) Perceptions also can vary widely from person to person — the classic story of the Blind Men and the Elephant comes to mind, where each describes a different portion, but no partial examination reveals the whole story. More importantly, the meaning and interpretations we give our perceptions literally fabricate our model of an external world. Perhaps trees falling in forests with no one around really don't make a sound! The law of Vibration, combined with the laws of Mentalism and Correspondence covered in the previous chapters, brings us the understanding that the realm of mind — our thoughts, feelings and attitudes — all have a vibrational counterpart. Our outer vibratory state also can correspond to our inner vibratory state… but doesn't always necessarily. We may not get to choose what our external senses appear to deliver to us, but we certainly have a choice of whether we are the puppets of what impinges on our senses (the vibrations that seem to influence us) … or whether we proactively choose to recognize the dreamlike quality of our external experience and not make it our master.Reacting to Stimuli — The Strength of Integrity with our Words and Thoughts"Anger is only one letter short of Danger!" - (author unknown)"… After all, what goes into your mouth will not defile you; rather, it's what comes out of your mouth that will reveal you." - Pursah's Gospel of Thomas (saying #6)from Your Immortal Reality by Gary RenardThe typical knee-jerk reactions that keep us bound to space-time are founded on the underlying belief that we're based in form rather than spirit. The new age maxim that we're spiritual beings having a material experience (or non-local beings having a local experience) must go beyond being "a great theory" and become rooted in practice, practice, practice, for it to become an actual fact for us. One barometer of how well we're achieving that shift in emphasis from matter to spirit is in our words. The language we use with others verbally, as well as electronically (now that email may comprise much of a person's daily communication) is a great indicator of how we feel about our inner life. Try invoking the inner observer (or record yourself on audio and/or video for a reality check) to see what vibrations you are sending out to the cosmos! It can be pretty eye opening and hopefully amusing if you don't take your own personality-based self too seriously! If one is being entranced by the ephemeral, the words will reflect that consciousness; however when we allow ourselves to be guided by spirit (wholeness) the words will reflect a very different awareness. It's rather obvious which feels peaceful, joyous and fun, and which reflects the struggle of a paradigm based on separation, division and differences. At times, we might not be saying (or typing) or otherwise communicating much to "others" during a day, but we certainly communicate plenty to ourselves during the course of a day! Being alert to our self-talk (whether we verbalize or not) is crucial to creating a habit of using the law of vibration for our optimal well being. If we are critical of others (whether it takes the form of full warfare or even mild irritation) we're overlooking the truth that: 1) if space and time are questionable assumptions, there might just not be an "other" to be critical of, and 2) our anger, judgment, fear or loathing, regardless of whether it "reaches the intended recipient" DOES reach us, and affects OUR vibratory system. Being annoyed with any aspect of creation is not sustainable, and one day will result in summoning the environmental thought police, so we might as well clean up our acts now! :-) Besides, it really chews up lots of time and wastes our effectiveness by being at odds with appearances; it is so much more fun to feel the integrity of unconditional acceptance of others; seeing our brothers and sisters (whether in human form or not) as our friends, allies and even our saviors from moment to moment can be very liberating! We're in alignment with the truth of all life — talk about omnipotent strength! — when we're in tune with the resonant field of our real selves. The Sub-Law of Attraction"With your practiced attention to any subject, the Law of Attraction delivers circumstances, conditions, experiences other people, and all manner of things that match your habitual dominant vibration. And as things begin to manifest around you that match the thoughts you have been holding, you now develop stronger and stronger vibrational habits or proclivities. And so, your once small and insignificant thought has now evolved into a powerful belief-and your powerful beliefs will always be played out in your experience." — Esther & Jerry Hicks (The Teachings of Abraham). The Law of Attraction is a sort of sub-law of the Hermetic Laws, really incorporating aspects of all seven laws, but certainly including Vibration. However, one significant, crucial flaw in much of the popular literature about The Law of Attraction is the emphasis on outcomes (effect, a.k.a. illusion in many Eastern philosophical systems) rather than the importance and relevance of mind (cause). There's nothing wrong with having material affluence, radiant physical health, harmonious relationships and friends who share nothing but praise and lavish generosity upon you. However, any truly spiritual teaching will readily point out the "inconvenient (only to the ego) truth" that true happiness does not depend on external circumstances, but rather on what we internally resonate with … what we we're transmitting is vastly more important than what we're receiving. This doesn't mean that ignorance (or outer circumstantial sensory data) is bliss, but if we pay attention to our inner guidance, what seems to be transpiring around us begins to diminish in importance; it becomes merely a secondary feedback to gauge the cumulative effect of our choices.Another frequently overlooked "elephant in the room" when the Law of Attraction is discussed is that the "vibrations" of our conscious thoughts and feelings are the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Our conscious mind is analogous to a droplet — the tiny, limited data our senses provide (and our responses or reactions to this data), whereas our UNCONSCIOUS mind is analogous to the oceanic rest of the Universe! If we focus our attention on the conscious part of our mind (a tiny point in space and time) that is all well and good (and important to do, of course.) But to assume that the law of attraction doesn't also operate on the cumulative choices of both conscious and unconscious thought throughout all dimensions of our existence (of which we have the tiniest glimmer of an idea about!) is folly indeed. That's where forgiving unconscious guilt, moment to moment, eventually frees us from attracting the illusory outcomes we don't want. This can seem daunting until we realize that all we need do is ask for guidance from our transpersonal selves to forgive the misperceptions of our narrowly confined personal selves, realize that the fleeting and distorted experiences that our bodily sense machinery delivers are necessarily abridged (and warped!) versions of reality at best, and ideally laugh at the foolishness of trying to make sense of what must be incomplete by definition. This doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with enjoying what our senses provide, be it a beautiful sunset, painting, smile, song, the taste of freshly picked blackberries, the smell of a rose or whatever… it just means that noticing the illusory nature of all of our sensory experiences — the dreamlike quality of them — frees us to forgive the errors we've introduced into our minds by attempting to make them 'real' and helps to release us from the various attachments and aversions to specific forms in space-time that humans (I'm sure I'm not the only one who can relate to this! :-) tend to fixate on… Letting it all go is real freedom, and what understanding the laws of the cosmos is all about! We'll talk much more about this when we cover the Law of Cause and Effect. Suffice it to say that our friendly inner wisdom patiently whispers an eternal suggestion to pay attention to cause, and not get too wrapped up in trying to change the effect. In his seminars, books and audio materials, author Gary Renard uses the useful metaphor of a screen being the effect and the projector being the cause, with the reminder that most of the time, we try to mess with the screen, thinking that will modify the outcome, yet only paying attention to the film going into the projector will ultimately produce the desired outcome. Fortunately, the projector IS inside us, where we really DO have choice of the vibrations of our mind — either inspired by our inner voice … or lied to by the tyrannical dictates of finite egoic perceptions/perspectives. Lying might seem a harsh word, yet if we believe a changing subset of all that is (which pretty much includes anything based on space or time), we're compromising the truth, since truth does not change, otherwise it would not be true!Having said all that about the caveats of the popular material on the Law of Attraction… Sure, why not emphasize and focus on what you want, rather than what you don't want. However, ignoring the primary importance of cause by making the illusion real will keep one forever chasing a moving target… when the still peaceful point is always right here, right now, available to us at every moment. Ironically, releasing our attachments and aversions to particular outcomes frees to make the optimal choices within this dreamy world of things that appear to be outside our self. Our Senses (Like our Bodies) are all in our Minds"Don't forget, the images you see in what you think is your real life are no more real than the images you see on TV or at the movies.""If you remember you're not a body, then you can step back and see that what you desire is valueless.""… Anything that appears to take on form is symbolic."… — Pursah in Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard."Perception did not exist until the separation introduced degrees, aspects and intervals. Spirit has no levels, and all conflict arises from the concept of levels." — from Error and the Ego (Chap. 3) from the text of A Course In Miracles."You cannot, then, ask for the echo. It is the song that is the gift. Along with it come the overtones, the harmonics, the echoes, but these are secondary. In true prayer you hear only the song. All the rest is merely added. You have sought first the Kingdom of Heaven, and all else has indeed been given you." — from The Song of Prayer supplement to A Course In MiraclesOur bodies are inundated with sensory data even before we exit the birth canal, and after that it's one barrage of inputs after another! Even in sleep, we get a steady dose of perceptual input. There's nothing particularly wrong with any perception (whether it appears to be in a dreaming or so-called waking state), it's just that from the perspective of our true nature (beyond space, time and form) all perceptions are just variations on a theme of one big gigantic dream. The crucial ingredient, as stated in the article that preceded this one, is the THOUGHT SYSTEM we use to assign meaning to the perceptions. The thought system of unconditional acceptance, forgiveness, compassion and just plain fun will create a vibratory spectrum of frequencies within us that is independent of what may or may not be going on around us. When we are experiencing what seems to be a challenging circumstance, the appropriate response is loving-kindness. When we are NOT experiencing what seems to be a challenging circumstance, the appropriate response is (still) loving-kindness. That makes it very simple, because there's just one response that is requested by our inner guidance in all situations! When we become aware of who it is that is experiencing our sensory world, and let go of our white-knuckled grip on the idea that someone or something outside us can have any bearing on our peace of mind, suddenly we're free to enjoy our perceptions (and respond appropriately, if needed) without being the slave of the ego machine (which tries forever to convince us that what others think about us is more important than what we think about them.) Seeing the world as being a projection of our inner split mind, we can forgive ourselves for the mistake of thinking it's "out there" and bring the focus of our efforts back to where we CAN make a difference … in here.Responding to Stillness — Feeling is Still the Secret"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony." — Mahatma Gandhi"Happiness is a perfume which you cannot pour on someone without getting some on yourself." — Ralph Waldo EmersonFreedom often arises from reinterpreting what our senses seem to deliver with the transpersonal thought system that incorporates the best possible outcome for all. Seen from a perspective that embraces all perspectives (which can occur when we get our personal agendas and biases out of the way), the sights and sounds of the world can become feedback tools that keep us happily attuned to our inner guidance. The easiest barometer for checking the validity of our guidance BEFORE we make any decision is the feeling we have about it. Feelings, particularly those of a transpersonal, infinite integrity, no-compromise-because-where-they-come-from-compromise-isn't-even-a-concept nature constitute our best dashboard instrument for keeping on course with optimal vibes. Being honest with our feelings with reality check questions (such as "am I excluding anyone?" or "is this beneficial for all" or "if I turned this around, would I want to be the recipient of what I'm about to do, say or think?") can save worlds, perhaps lifetimes of needless grief. It's so simple, and rocket science degrees are not required, nor are there entrance requirements, minimum or maximum ages, dues or other limitations! 100% free with no bitter after taste! I heartily endorse paying attention to your feelings (transpersonal only, please!) as an ideal vibratory enhancement and optimization technology! There's a neat little classic by Neville called "Feeling is the Secret" that goes into detail about how paying attention to one's usually unconscious and sometimes subconscious feeling states can bring about great cohesiveness into one's life.Years ago I made a big poster and put it on the wall that said, in big black block letters "I am choosing to feel this way." When I was in a happy state, it was easy to acknowledge the wisdom of this poster. However, over time, when I was in a less wonderful and occasionally downright funky state, and this poster stared me in the face, I had to admit that I was still choosing to feel the way I was feeling. By golly it worked! You may or may not need to resort to measures as extreme as this (the poster took up a good portion of the wall!) but the concept seemed to work well. Repetitive feedback from a gentle yet strong reminder of truth can work wonders, regardless of the form it appears to take. The Strength of Stillness"The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong." — Mahatma GandhiWe're NOT responsible for what others "send or receive", but we certainly are response-able for what we do (or don't do) in response to the "outer" world… A big part of the key to trouble-free living is "non-attachment to outcomes"; this applies to family belief systems, community interactions, and global and regional cultural belief systems. This non-attachment evolves as we practice relinquishing the belief that our "inputs" are more important than our "outputs." This is somewhat analogous to saying that steering your ship is not only more effective, but more fun than cursing the currents of wind or water that happen to be in evidence. When we respond to inspiration, feeling the complete-within-itself joy of integrity, our dreams become happier, and we move more swiftly to awakening altogether. The stillness at the center of the circle, spiral, cyclone, galaxy, atom, or any other form is where the true power lies. This fulcrum of peace contains the seeds of vibration, yet does not vibrate. This is why when we let go of our desire to change the world to our liking, we realize that it already is optimally designed to bring us exactly what we need, moment to moment, to perfectly accept, forgive and release whatever appears to be in front of us. If we practice this often enough, we realize that we can afford to relax about our circumstances and that the peace of our Creator is truly what we're looking for, and it is always ever present within us.The Sine Wave: The complement to stillness and wholeness; dynamic activity in the manifest realms"There is geometry in the humming of strings. There is music in the spacing of the spheres." — PythagorasThe Sine Wave (also called a sinusoid) is the shape made by tracing the path of any point that is not the center of any rotating object. The rate of vibration (frequency) depends on how fast in time (cycles per second or Hertz) the object is rotating. The strength (or amplitude) of the vibration depends on how far away from the center the selected point is chosen. All vibrations (or frequencies) can trace their compositional source to a sine wave or combinations of sine waves; this is like saying that our perceptions all arise from vibrations caused by rotating around the source. The next time you see (or hear!) color or sound (that should cover a rather inclusive territory!), it can be a memory trigger that you are seeing your inner world projected outwardly. Compassion is inevitable from this perspective. When one also incorporates the thought system of our real, metapersonal Self, this kindness can't help but reflect, mirror, echo and convey the unlimited loving generosity and forgiving whole-heartedness of who we truly are! Then we're using the Law of Vibration in the best possible way, by realizing your choice of frequencies is being guided by inspiration rather than by the desperation of trying to change the world from the outside. We return to the still central point, beyond vibration, beyond duality, perfect patient calm, at peace.Copywrite 2008 Bruce Rawles. All rights reserved.

Polarity — Fourth of the Seven Hermetic Lawsby Bruce Rawles(This article was excerpted and adapted from the upcoming book, "The Geometry Code: Symbolic Wisdom of Natural Laws Within Us" by Bruce Rawles, available soon from Elysian Publishing. This is the fourth of eight articles; you might want to first read the initial article in the series and the prior article on the Law of Mentalism and Law of Correspondence and and Law of Vibration to get the context for this one."People think consciousness is really significant because we want what we made to be important. So we glorify it and measure it and attach specialness to it when it's really just a symbol of separation from our Source. It's separation, because in order to have consciousness, you have to have more than one thing. You have to have a subject and an object. You have to have something else to be conscious of. That's where twoness came from to replace oneness. That's what makes the resulting symbolic illusory opposites, polarities and dualities." — Your Immortal Reality by Gary Renard, page 47"There are no sides, only angles — and when we view things from the right angle, it's obvious we're all on the same side."— Steve Bhaerman a.k.a. Swami BeyondanandaThe Law of Polarity (Balance, Objectivity, Neutralization, Non-resistance, Integrity, Transcendence, Compassion) — Keyword: PurityThe fourth of the seven laws or principles is given the name Polarity in the Kybalion, along with the phrase "Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled." — The KybalionI am writing this during the autumnal equinox; a time of year associated with balance, equality between night and day and a symbolic pivot point between the polarities of light and dark, hot and cold, activity and dormancy. These are but a few of the pairs of opposites we can relate to this middle of seven laws from the Hermetic tradition. Whenever we perceive anything in the realms of space, time, form or duality, the law of polarity comes into play. That covers just about everything in our so-called 3D reality, doesn't it!"The first thing you do with clay on a potter's wheel is center it. You bring all the ingredients of the clay into an even grain, so that when you open the ball of clay, the inside and outside are of the same quality. In life, the discipline of centering is of bringing in rather than leaving out, honoring the different elements in one's experience and bringing them into integration." — M. C. Richards, author of Imagine Inventing YellowThe conventional approach to the law of polarity is to meet one aspect of illusion with an equal and opposite illusion; that neutralization technique works to a degree, but requires the energy and effort to calm the tornado with an opposite tornado. In the meantime, your house may have been moved from Auntie Em's to a place far from Kansas! Or at least, there may be some housekeeping to attend to… Since we're talking about talking about metaphysical approaches in this series of articles, let's dive right into the center of the cyclone where there is always a calm, neutral stillness. As long as we entertain resistance (a.k.a. grievance, upset, blame-projection, finger-pointing, critical judgment of self or others or circumstances, or any of the myriad other forms of trying to make illusions real), we're off-balance and we're using (whether consciously or not) cyclonic forces to pull ourselves out of heart center.Another technique for using the law of Polarity effectively is the principle of non-resistance. This works wonderfully when we don't resist our inner inspired voice; the one that sees through seeming walls and defaults to sharing, communicating and compassionately removing the blocks to true communion and communication, regardless of whether this seems to be with "others" or "different aspects of ourselves." When we become superconductors, charges and biases cannot persist or accumulate because the whole notion of polarity is done away with at the root level. We integrate understandings and, becoming free of imbalances, are able to be more objective in our perceptions. With nothing demanding our attention, we are free to see things as they are, rather than as biased, polarized perspectives would insist.Like the other Hermetic Laws, we can use the law of polarity wisely or less skillfully, depending on the thought or belief system we reference. The context of our philosophical foundation determines everything! A kindly, loving Self sees the drama of life's unfolding from a kindly, loving perspective and interprets things accordingly with a gentle and compassionate inner smile. An angry, fearful self-concept filters the same unfolding events through a distorted lens of polarization, judgment, attachments, aversions and veils. The truth and lessons to be gleaned go un-noticed from this latter perspective. From the thought/belief system of duality, the law of polarity dishes up an endless stream of sensory struggles and battles, vying for our attention, or perhaps we might say, for our distraction. The ego/separation "we/they paradigm" orientation invokes the notion of division, fragmentation, splitting apart and has a bias towards "looking for trouble" … because that is the nature of the ego and this minced up, mixed up world it made up! Choosing how we interpret the world (what the world seems to convey) makes all the difference … in the world … and more importantly in the realm of cause beyond the world! :-) If we identify our "selves" as separate, droplets isolated from the proverbial ocean of life, the polarities of life appear as an unceasing barrage of conflicts, compromises, half-hearted choices, regrets, and we feel torn between opposing forces, regardless of the form(s) they appear to take. The feeling is that of being stuck, trapped, and is obviously rather depressing and fearful… Fortunately INDEED, those temporary misperceptions about ourselves are inevitably incorrect BECAUSE we're seeing such a tiny portion of a fleeting illusion of ourselves that isn't really us. Our bodies in particular are the biggest scam ever perpetrated by the powers that wannabe (If our ego is limited to a speck of space-time, then it truly has no permanent existence; only what we breathe into it… pull the life-support umbilicals on falsity and who we really, truly are, beyond the temporary appears. Sure, there's nothing wrong with attending to the care and feeding of our little space-time-suits, but when we can, with a healthy dose of amusement, not take them too seriously, we notice that we feel TRULY ALIVE because we're not identified with the changeable, the ephemeral and the polarized. Our bodies (and the personalities that project these little holograms that seem so real) are by definition "split off" or polarized from the rest of the universe, while our infinite, pure non-fragmented oneness remains what we TRULY ARE!When we identify with our higher, transpersonal selves by letting go of our attachment to our little special "droplet stories", oceanic peace allows us to see the bigger picture, where conflicts have already been resolved, integrated, neutralized, and transcended… Not being tied to the tidal forces of change and impermanence, we are free to experience the eternal calm of essence that is analogous to the depths of the ocean, regardless of how stormy the surface might appear. Knowingness goes beyond comparisons; this is an excellent criterion of true gratitude, by the way. When we're truly grateful, it doesn't have any 'more than' or 'less than' connotations, and is completely inclusive; no one is left out of our generosity of good will. This may or may not involve physical expression, since we're talking about the level of cause (mind) rather than the level of form (effect) here. You may have noticed that when you're truly inspired, there aren't any internal boundaries even though what appears to be going on "outside" might not look any different. At those moments the surroundings are truly irrelevant, even though, ironically, when we're least worried about the realm of outcomes is when we're actually most able — because our attachments and aversions (both polarities) are neutralized or at least minimized at those moments — to beneficially affect outcomes … to bring our awareness back to a state of wholeness most quickly. We experience inclusion rather than isolation or exclusion (another form of polarization). That wholeness connects us with the source of all true abundance that is not tied to any particular situation or circumstance, yet optimally influences whatever situation or circumstance we happen to be in. The real gift is in freeing ourselves from the bondage of limiting self-concepts by waking up from the dreams of specialness, arrogance, and scarcity. How could awareness of the all (our true estate) be missing anything or polarized?A key technique for practicing this serene presence is to remember that all experiences are gifts for us to appreciate from the vantage point of our immortal being. Laughter is a great medicine, and when we remember to see the humor in our seeming human predicaments, it dissolves the emotional and mental hallucinations that bind us to those situations. Slowly but surely, we are freed by the consistent practice of forgiving ourselves and the "others" that seem to be "outside us" for what appears to have occurred in a tiny blip of eternity in the most minuscule atom of infinite space. For example, how important now are most of the problems that seemed to vex you when you were a little kid? Probably not very significant, I'd guess. We can use that same cosmic perspective to imagine our future infinitely-calm infinitely-free selves reaching back through the illusion of time, kindly looking over our current "troubles," whispering to us an infinitely-patient suggestion to loosen our grip on our grievances, grin a bit and see things from "above the battlefield" long enough to disengage from patterns that keep us in the nightmarish game. Eventually we'll all get bored with trying to find fulfillment in the make-believe world of duality and polarity and turn within (which includes all life everywhere!) to find the real lasting fulfillment that doesn't deteriorate, fragment and ultimately get sucked into the black hole of space-time.A vivid example of how the ego manipulates the law of polarity to promote "separation thinking" was demonstrated in an episode from the original Star Trek series entitled "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield" where there were two warrior survivors who had been pursuing each other for millennia; one black on the left and white on the right; the other black on the right and white on the left; they discovered that their collective hatred had annihilated all but the last two members of each species, yet they continued their futile struggle. There were lots of inspired episodes in that original TV series; that was one of the most profound, both metaphysically and socially and so applicable to the polarized world we appear to be in … even when we're not in an election year! It was a great tutorial on how relentless the ego is in distracting us from the peace that is available within at every moment.Illusions of Separation and Projection — There's No "out there" out there!"Out beyond ideas of right doing and wrong doing,There is a field. I'll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass,The world is too full to talk about.Ideas, language, even the phrase each otherDoesn't make any sense." — Rumi"There are two types of people in the world: those who divide people into two types, and those who don't." — Garth's Distinction (a sub-law of "Murphy's Law" :-)"The secret of true prayer is to forget the things you think you need." — Gary Renard"Opposites must be brought together, not kept apart. For their separation is only in your mind, and they are reconciled by union, as you are. In union, everything that is not real must disappear, for truth is union." — A Course In Miracles, text, p. 287The egoic (split) mind believes (erroneously) that it somehow managed to achieve separation from the Creator. The pain this causes, if confronted directly, appears too great to bear, so we have spent lifetimes evading this self-fabricated illusion (a bogus threat) via the "clever" mechanism of projection. Namely, we made up an entire universe so that we would have a never-ending saga of scapegoats, parading and masquerading as the people in our lives in particular, (especially those closest to us) and our 'world' in general.Have you ever caught yourself "demonizing a demon" or even "demonizing a demonizer?" The irony of all projection, of course, is that we're the only ones we can be responsible for, and the good news is that we can (with complete reliance on our transpersonal, infinite whole-I spirit Self) systematically forgive our misperceptions (grievances, blames, grudges, annoyances, regrets, and all forms of unhappiness) until it becomes such a habit that we eventually wake up from the dream of space-time. When we get far enough along with making this a routine practice, we're no longer anxious about the outcome, and just continually grateful for opportunities to forgive the residual flow of circumstances in '3D-land.' This "quantum forgiveness" (as Gary Renard so appropriately calls it) is the perfect "undo button" for the entrancement of the dream. Even when there still seems to be plenty to forgive in our material lives, remember that we're already home, and we also have our transpersonal guidance (call it Whole-I Spirit if you like, the name doesn't matter) to gracefully navigate through the minefield of shadowy phantom adversaries.Adopting this transpersonal attitude automatically unveils what appear to be enemies and reveals them to us as infinitely loving friends that we ourselves arranged to be on the stage of our dramas. Instead of polarizing against our help, we embrace our allies, regardless of the form they take, and use care to make sure we exclude no one from our universe of friends, for truly we are all here to help. The help can take two forms: expressions of loving kindness or requests for the same (which can take a lot of bizarre and wacky forms!) In either case, wise use of the law of polarity suggests that we go beyond duality and respond the same way to either form… with loving kindness in response! That makes it very simple… not always easy, but always simple! :-) In either case, our inclusive, forgiving response reconciles whatever appears to be, and re-establishes in our minds what has always been in truth. When our thoughts (wanting) and actions (doing) are aligned (non-polarized), we feel at peace.Symbols of Polarity … and Transcending It — Lines, Triangles, and Beyond Flatland and Form on all Dimensions and Form"The opposite of love is fear, but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite."— A Course In Miracles (Introduction)"There is nothing good or bad, but thinking makes it so." — William Shakespeare, in Hamlet"What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the rest of the world calls a butterfly."— Richard Bach"All wars are failures of imagination." — Caroline CaseyGeometrically, a quintessential metaphor for polarity is a line defined by two points. Diametrically opposing sides to any parameter or dimension or issue seem to conflict from the perspective of someone "on the line"… yet when one rises "above the battlefield" of conflict (by no longer being identified or attached to that perspective) they are able to not only see both "points of view" as equally valid, they are able to integrate insights and gifts of both perspectives as well as honor both vantage points. Seen from the perspective of two people standing next to each other on earth, a distant galaxy may look the same, yet ... seen from the perspective of two other galaxies, a distant galaxy may look VERY different! As an interesting aside, an astronomer friend once showed us the Andromeda galaxy through his telescope and used a fairly low magnification lens, explaining that if we saw all the dim stars that comprise it, despite that it is so many light-years away, it is still enormous (many light years across) and takes up a space in the sky equivalent to about seven times the size of our moon!Taking this geometric metaphor to the next dimension, we have a plane defined by three points. A point above the plane can see all 3 points, whereas a perspective point within the plane might not appreciate all 3 references. We can add another point on the plane to make a square, which becomes a pair of balanced perspectives in two dimensions, with the apex of a pyramidal mandala becoming the third dimensional capstone eye, able to integrate, balance, neutralize and transcend… No wonder so many cultures have used a square as a meditative focus for going beyond limitation. Multiply the harmonious symbolism of the triangle with the elemental symbolism of the square, and you have a 12-sided (zodiacal) mandala representing 6 polarized pairs, all finding resolution in the mystical thirteenth point in the center. The missing element (dimension) for transcendence is the additional right angle 90-degree turn that adds another dimension. Many accounts of UFO trajectories describe abrupt right-angle turns, so why not apply that right here in our own lives pragmatically by remembering we exist in all dimensions of space and time — and beyond them! Whenever we relax our fixation on the little petty concerns that try to bind us, we are making a dimensional shift into the realm of our limitless nature. Edwin Abbott's Flatland story comes to mind here, since we seem to usually think we're in three dimensions, but perhaps we're just as deluded as the flatlanders who think they're stuck in two dimensions! The analogy I like to think of (when contemplating experiences ranging from crop formations to ascended beings — our higher selves) is that of flatlanders watching a pencil passing through their 2D "reality." They are tempted to "freak out" when they think they are hallucinating about a pink circle suddenly appearing (the eraser), then a yellow hexagon (the pencil cross-section) hovering in their world for a while, then shrinking to a brown then black dot and winking out! Rather than phoning the Flatland version of National Enquirer, perhaps they could realize there are other dimensions that their limited perception doesn't begin to address… The same applies to use in our 3D "reality."We can continue this progression indefinitely, adding more dimensions and each time adding another hyperdimensional orthogonal axis (in our imagination) to go beyond. Ultimately (as in right now!), when we recognize, as modern physics suggests in so many ways, that space and time are fleeting holograms of our imagination, we can go beyond the metaphor of form, and utilize the law of polarity to undo illusion, by forgiving ourselves for having made it all up in the first place, and joyously embracing each moment as a gift navigating us home. The law of polarity becomes a trusted tool for charting when we're feeling out of balance (dualistic thought system) and providing the feedback for remembering our pure non-dual Self.Copywrite 2008 Bruce Rawles. Rhythm — Fifth of the Seven Hermetic Lawsby Bruce Rawles(This article was excerpted and adapted from the upcoming book, "The Geometry Code: Symbolic Wisdom of Natural Laws Within Us" by Bruce Rawles, available soon from Elysian Publishing. This is the fourth of eight articles; you might want to first read the initial article in the series and the prior article on the Law of Mentalism and Law of Correspondence, Law of Vibration and the Law of Polarity to get the context for this one. The remaining two articles will cover the Law of Cause and Effect, and the Law of Generation."Well, Jane, it just goes to show you, it's always something." — Gilda Radner as RoseAnne Roseannadanna on Saturday Night Live …"It's all nothing." — Gene Bogart, from Gary Renard podcast #21The Law of Rhythm (Flow, Non-resistance, Surrender as Courage) — Keyword: BeautyThe fifth of the seven laws or principles is given the name Rhythm in the Kybalion, along with the phrase"Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates." — The KybalionBecoming Superconductors For Our Essence — Going with the Inner Flow"…instead of judging automatically, you will forgive automatically." Arten;"…the proper response to any situation is always love." Gary, p. 213; from Disappearance of the Universe by Gary RenardLike all the Hermetic laws or principles, this one (Rhythm) can be used either by the fragmenting thought system of the ego … or by the non-dualistic thought system of our real self. We've trained ourselves from day one to look 'outside' and emphasize what appears to come our way — the tidal flood of experiences that come and go, to and fro, in endless variations. Seasons, circadian flows, tides, lunations (phases of the moon), precession of equinoxes (Yugas in the Hindu tradition), meandering rivers, our heartbeats and our breath — all follow a rhythmic pattern. The enticement for entrainment is everywhere. The question is not whether there are tides; the question is do we want to be surfers or get caught in the undertow! … We certainly can't stop the waves from reaching the shores of our lives, but we can respond to the surf of this 3D world in very different ways. It isn't about what we do externally, but about how we choose to feel and think internally, and the meaning (or lack thereof) we ascribe to what goes on 'around' us.I thought the juxtaposition of the Gilda Radner and Gene Bogart quotes above reveals the stark contrast (using the law of Polarity to return to a non-dual state) between the egoic victimhood stance (lose-lose) and the enlightened caring, yet carefree (win-win) perspective that allows us to take all rhythms of life in stride. Our inner graceful choreography in response to the circumstances of our daily forgiveness lessons provides all we need to ultimately dance our way to serenity beyond the stars. Roseanne's whiny caricature reminds us to maintain a sense of humor about our grievances regarding things that come and go … How much will we fret and fuss about all of our current seemingly insurmountable obstacles in a year? In a millennium?Have you ever felt "in the flow?" Being in a 'groove' where you simply respond inwardly to whatever comes up … instantly … is something we often associate with Olympic athletes, charismatic speakers, superstar musicians and the like. Yet we can gradually achieve our own state of inner superconductivity by lowering our resistance to inspiration, humbly acknowledging that everything we have is a gift (true for everyone!) and surrendering to the wiser and saner transpersonal self that always votes for the optimal welfare of all. When we look back on those moments when everything seemed to flow, we realize that we were willing to get our sense of a separate 'self' out of the way, and allow our unified identity (beyond space and time, yet acting within those dimensions) to take over the controls… I'd call this surrendering to one's higher self, and the best part is that this sort of surrender doesn't involve any compromises, since our metapersonal awareness isn't after any kind of special or exclusionary goals and benefit is assured for all from this encompassing intent. We naturally are superconductors for spirit … We've just trained ourselves to believe otherwise! In order to hear the inner voice consistently, we must be willing to acknowledge that our finite perceptions (as observed from our little micro-dot in the cosmos of temporal and spatial delusions) are incomplete, and because of that minuscule window on truth, rather distorted. Letting go of our biases and hopelessly provincial, territorial perspectives (hint; those of us who still occasionally believe we're limited to a human body are in that category :-) gives us the lucidity to receive guidance beyond what we currently believe possible. We become superconductors for the joyous experience of freedom by letting the trivial go and adopting an unyielding allegiance for the eternal. It's a feeling that is all our birthright, no prerequisites and guaranteed by our Creator. Recycling our preconceptions at the curb makes room in our inner pantries for delicacies we haven't even dreamed of!Beyond Attachment and Aversion"Non-acceptance is always suffering, no matter what you are not accepting. Acceptance is always freedom, no matter what you are accepting." — Cheri Huber"Be passersby." — Pursah's Gospel of Thomas, saying 42, from Your Immortal Reality by Gary Renard"In every instant we have the ability to change our minds about our reality." p. 319; Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard"One ship sails East,And another West,By the self-same winds that blow,'Tis the set of the sailsAnd not the gales,That tells the way we go."— Ella Wheeler WilcoxWhen I first experienced being on a sailboat, I was impressed that by tacking back and forth, applying the proper angular relationship (sounds like geometry, doesn't it! :-) one could not only avoid being pushed where one didn't want to go, but a skilled sailor could harness the energy of the wind to actually go in a direction opposite to where the wind was wanting to push the vessel. The metaphor here implies that when we release our attachments and aversions to experiences that we encounter from moment to moment, we are free to learn from our circumstances, rather than being at the mercy of them. This works because we identify with the cause (our infinite nature, and returning inexorably to the home of wholeness and oneness), rather than the temporary situation we happen to find ourselves in.This usually takes the form (with infinite variations) of relaxing about what's going on, usually a laugh or two (which can be inward, no need for EVERYONE to think you're crazy! :-), and realizing that whatever issue seems to be the big soap opera du jour is probably not worth ruffling your internal feathers about. This doesn't mean that on the "outside" you might do things that appear to be looking after your 'own' interests, defending yourself or taking care of the mundane tasks that require your attention. The crucial point is that INWARDLY the defenses are completely down to allow and welcome spirit! You allow your human perspective to be a passenger, along for the ride, with your transpersonal, metapersonal guidance at the helm. That serenity, ironically allows us to make the best possible decisions that affect the world around us, because that isn't where we're putting our emphasis. If you're not attached to outcomes, you're much freer to actually change them, since the blinders of bias are removed."A life without change is not a life; it is a stagnant pool. To change your mind frivolously is a cop-out. To change your mind under the direction of the wisdom of the heart is a brush stroke on the masterpiece you are delivering to the world." — Alan CohenThe meaningful and effective release of pettiness, judgments, critical attitudes, blame, unconscious guilt, and all their kin occurs because we understand that there's no one "out there" in the rhythm of life's parade of experience doing anything "to us" … We're ultimately doing it all to ourselves — that's applying what Gary Renard calls quantum forgiveness using the assumed dimension of space to our collective advantage. Then when we apply the assumed dimension of time, we realize that we're already home, but we're dreaming all this duality stuff up, so we can afford to forgive the 'events' that, from an eternal vantage point, never happened. Even if it seems like a stretch to bring the full infinity of time into this moment, just consider how important some of the petty things that 'happened to you' a few years ago (or more) seem now… This can give us the inspiration to release our attachments and aversions to particular experiences including favorite seasons, phases of our 'life', places, even people we've been close to.) This doesn't mean in the least that we stop giving 108% of our capacity for kindness, caring and thoughtful responsible action for the myriad of people that constitute our family, friends, and community on every level and realm; it just means that we allow ourselves the exquisite luxury (and freedom) of not being attached to anything happening or not happening. We allow all to be, by giving all to all.Appreciating the Gifts and Learning the Lessons of Each Moment"A human being is part of a whole, called by us the 'Universe,' a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest — a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty." — Albert Einstein"Your brothers are everywhere. You do not have to seek far for salvation. Every minute and every second gives you a chance to save yourself. Do not lose these chances, not because they will not return, but because delay of joy is needless." — A Course In Miracles, Text"We generally associate the terms of 'rhythm' and 'eurhythmy' with the Arts working in the time dimension (Poetry and Music) and the notion of Proportion with the 'Arts of Space' (Architecture, Painting, Decorative Art.) The Greeks did not care for these distinctions; for them, for Plato in particular, Rhythm was a most general concept dominating not only Aesthetics but also Psychology and Metaphysics. And Rhythm and Number were one. (Rhythmos and Arithmos had the same root: rhein = to flow.)"- Matila Ghyka from "The Geometry of Art and Life"The law of rhythm is a wonderful tool, when used by our whole self (rather than by the finite, soapy and operatic whiny voice that tries diligently to co-opt who we really are). Every moment has a gift. Every person you meet is a lesson in compassion for self (who else is there?) and kindness via forgiving what seems to be happening. What is going on around us WILL change; that's pretty bankable. :-) Building our inner castle on that sandy seashore is just asking for disappointment. Besides, when we start listening to our deeper wisdom, gleaned from countless lifetimes, investing in the ephemeral outcomes that change with the seasons, tides and generations begins to sound a lot like "been there, done that!" Eventually, we will tire of tricking ourselves out of our inheritance of peace and learn to optimize our receptivity to the gifts that are humbly placed before us by our soul's homecoming agenda. Gratitude is the inevitable result. This can take countless forms, a lyric on the car radio that reminds us that we're not limited to a pitifully finite spot on a backwater planet somewhere on the outskirts of the Milky Way, or perhaps an email with a funny video or touching story that opens us to transpersonal community, or maybe just appreciating the vibrant fall colors and realizing that the warmth we resonate with is not limited to just one time of year…Another aspect of using the law of rhythm wisely is allowing others to follow their own rhythms. The Aramaic word translated into English as "evil" originally meant "unripe". We're all returning home to a pure non-dual awareness of oneness in seemingly different ways, on different paths, yet all leading to the same experience of oneness. Since our human perspective really leaves us pretty clueless about the true inner adventure of each soul (including our own), it's pretty silly to pass judgment on others, since we're probably just as "unripe" from other perspectives as anyone else and besides, isn't the whole point to discover we're all part of the same tree?"It is possible to transcend noise, which is a value judgment of an energetic event, and to open your ears, and hear it as music; everything is music. ... My job is to learn to resonate with whatever comes to me." — John BeaulieuA couple decades ago I took a few classes in Aikido, an oriental martial arts practice. I didn't really stick with that particular practice, but I did learn a great truth from my instructor, Dan. His insight, paraphrased here, was that there's no reason not to assist everyone with where they think they want to go. The key is the concept of non-resistance. If we resist (judge or condemn or limit) others in any way (including thinking of them as being stuck in a particular body), we're using "their energy" against "us". Ideally, the more we practice allowing everyone to be who they are, with their apparent agendas and interests, the more we are free to flow our efforts into the most beneficial path for all (inclusive of 'us'.) Even on the level of form, it's often a good idea to just "get out of the way" and allow what appears to be; our feeling of serenity is a primary indicator of how well we're achieving this. Other times we may (when appropriate) need to act when our hearts require us to get involved; as Caroline Casey advises, (paraphrased here) we can remain united as friends with the soul of someone while opposing their behavior — this works, at times, with inattentive kids AND politicians! :-)"The way towards freedom from a situation often lies in acceptance of the situation." — Rachel Naomi Remen"Juggling... is... a symbol of life... What I'm doing over and over and over is ... catching and letting go, I'm catching and letting go; if we hold onto anything for too long, it just doesn't work. ... It's also playing." — Izzy Tooinsky (juggler/storyteller)"Be patient towards all that is unsolved in your heart and dreams, try to love the questions themselves." — Rainer Maria RilkeGeometric Symbols of Rhythm — Spirals, Pentagons and FractalsThe very real difference between perception and knowledge becomes quite apparent, if you consider this: There is nothing partial about knowledge. Every aspect is whole, and therefore no aspect is separate." — A Course In Miracles (Text, Chapter 13, From Perception to Knowledge)"It helps tremendously that the Course is holographic in nature, each thought being related to all the others. In fact, you could say that like a hologram, the whole of the Course's thought system is found in all of its sections, or that each part contains the whole." Pursah; p. 233, from Disappearance of the Universe by Gary RenardAs always, the particular form (in this case, geometric) we employ as a reminder to invoke the thought system of truth is not what's important. What IS important is the application of non-resistance, the practice of forgiving ourselves for our misperceptions, tending to our mastery of effortless effort in recalling our kinship with all life. If you have a symbol that resonates more effectively for you, by all means use it! Getting hung up on a form (of any kind) is just plain silly. Like the cereal box says, these are just serving suggestions. :-)Moving in to the eye of the spiral storm, we find the place of calm, while all around us there may be extreme turbulence. The calm fulcrum within the heart of the spiral affords the understanding that change doesn't affect the innermost depths of who we are. Another metaphor is the bottom of the ocean (closer to the center of the earth, incidentally) where the surf and tides and surface swells have negligible impact. Initially one might only encounter these 'places' of serenity in brief epiphanies, mystical revelations or profound meditations, yet, with practice, this state becomes more and more accessible on an everyday basis.Whenever you see a spiral, it can serve as a reminder, a trigger for the thought system of unlimited peace to calm concerns about the things we think we need. When we shift the attention back to our material concerns, having given them a rest, we often find more practical insights than ever before, since dropping our cares also drops our resistance to hearing viable solutions from our transpersonal guidance, and attunes our thoughts to a happier dream, rather than feeling like we need to plunge into the brunt of the storm. We can find spirals in nature almost everywhere: weather maps online or on TV, the patterns of fern leaves, parrots beaks, cross sections of mushrooms and cabbages, whirlpools in the sink or your coffee cup, pinecones, clock springs, your inner ear, snail shells, and branches winding around the trunk of a plant. Our personal "yellow brick road" can take us home faster than we can click our ruby slippers together, if we just remember that we have access to the center of the spiral at every moment. Even if our outer conditions appear stormy, our inner cyclonic still point is always available. Many types of spirals as well as pentagons (which can be extended or partitioned with an endless progression of pentagram/pentagon iterations) are examples of fractals. Fractals are geometric patterns that occur at every level of form, embodying the principle of interconnectedness and relationship. When one 'zooms in' on a portion of a fractal pattern, the same pattern appears at the zoomed in level as the zoomed out level. Examples abound in the natural world. If one looks at any edible fruit, the 5-petalled blossom becomes a delicious metaphor for regeneration, extension, replication and consistency of design regardless of scale. This is inherent in any design that incorporates the golden ratio where the proportion of the whole to the large is the same as the large to the small. The cross section of every DNA molecule is a decagon (10-sided polygon) or two evenly rotated pentagons, and the ratio of the length of one turn of the DNA helical spiral (34 Angstroms), to it's diameter (21 Angstroms), is a pair of successive Fibonacci Numbers, which converge on the golden ratio at infinity. There are countless other examples from the atomic level to minerals, plants, animals, humans, orbits of planets in our solar system, galaxies, and beyond. The important concept (regardless of one's interest in sacred geometry) is that we can use spirals, pentagons, fractals of all sorts, and even anything that just reminds us of interconnectedness as an "on button" or a wake up call for the thought system that restores our thinking to wholeness.Habits: Centripetal and Centrifugal Movement — Practice, Practice, Practice!"…Repetition is not only perfectly all right, it's mandatory. That's the only way you can possibly learn a thought system, have it become part of you and get to the point where you apply it automatically — eventually without even thinking about it. That's why it's called practicing forgiveness. You practice over and over, until it becomes second nature. You'll see." Arten; p. 189-190, from Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard"Thoughts increase by being given away. The more who believe in them the stronger they become. Everything is an idea. How, then, can giving and losing be associated?" … "Now you must learn that only infinite patience produces immediate effects." — A Course In Miracles, text, Chapter 5 — Healing and Wholeness"And what is a pagan? If you look at the origin of the word, it means a country dweller, a person of nature who lives to the rhythm of seasons and the sun. If that is paganism, then I am a fervent believer." — from Napoleon's Pyramids by William Dietrich, p. 165"Always do your best." — Don Miguel Ruiz"Though we seem to be sleeping, there is an inner wakefulness that directs the dream, and that will eventually startle us back to the truth of who we are." — Jelaluddin Rumi"There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." — Albert Einstein"Perception controls behavior." — Bruce Lipton"Truth does not vacillate; it is always true." — A Course In Miracles, text, Chapter 9, Grandeur Versus GrandiosityRemembering that truth never changes can be a way to keep the illusion of change in perspective; if something changes, it is part of the big dream! This means that our bodies (and beliefs and attitudes about them and our relationship to "stuff" of every description), our planet, our galaxy, and the entire material universe with rhythms ranging from the grand cycles of time (Yugas and even slower) all the way to frequencies so fast we don't have instruments to measure them (beyond cosmic rays)… are all just a 'phantom menace' that we made up. The truth of who we are doesn't change, just the projections from our unconscious minds that appear to our sensory thought system seem to be forever shifting, morphing and transforming from one state to another. In terms of the true importance to our spirit, it's just one big holographic carrot on a multidimensional stick! The eastern philosophies, Buddhism in particular, offer a great deal of insight into relinquishing our folly of preoccupation with this ephemeral parade of effects. However, just recognizing that we're dreaming doesn't provide the systematic release from the dream. This can be a passive acknowledgment internally that is equivalent to saying, "OK, so I'm dreaming, now how do I wake up?" A superb and essential first step, but more is needed to awaken.Fortunately, we can, with help from our transpersonal selves (or Holy Spirit or inner guidance or pure non-dualistic identity or whatever label works for you) recognize the dreaming that we're doing, and not take it too seriously (complete with the pendulum swings of mood, happenstance and the distraction of capricious events) … Inwardly that is! On the level of cause, we can afford to laugh at the whimsy of being caught up in circumstances, knowing — full well — that we're not the events that appear to be happening to us. On the level of effect or form, it's usually a good idea to take care of our everyday responsibilities, like feeding the cat, paying our bills, and prudently planting in spring and harvesting in autumn. This doesn't mean that we should ignore what is going on around us on the level of form or effect, but it DOES mean that the form has less and less of a white-knuckled, sweaty grip on our reality. This just takes practice, practice, and more practice. With due diligence, an inclusive attitude and philosophy becomes a habit and then when the "bigger" issues suggest we move our backs to the wall, there's no inner wall for us to be pinned to. We are liberated one forgiving thought and feeling at a time… gradually spiraling inward from a nightmarish whirlwind of trying to solve the world in isolation to the peaceful center within where happy dreams become predominant and we ultimately awaken altogether. When we identify with the eternal, it affords us the poise and serenity needed to not just weather the changing seasons, but to savor, without attachment or aversion, the blessings and offerings of the ephemeral BECAUSE we appreciate the life thread that weaves itself through all of these seasons and changes. We go beyond merely surviving to thriving because we follow the inner promptings to rely on the infinite supply of loving kindness that is ours to give to all without discrimination of time, space, or seeming forms and individuals. When we realize that there are never any limits on giving from the infinite within, we have become truly self-sufficient in the transpersonal sense of that word. If we think we "need" recognition, approval, affection, or any other sort of "positive" feedback, we're using the limited personal thought system of the ego and that seems to place us at the mercy of whim and circumstance, a victim of the rhythms of nature, rather than an ultimate surfer of the cosmic tides.Continue the persistent practice of quantum forgiveness. Overlook the dream of space/time/duality. Apply that perspective to specifically forgiving what APPEARS to be "happening to us" at this moment until it becomes habit. Then "second nature" becomes "first nature" which, of course it always was!The Guest HouseThis being human is a guest house.Every morning a new arrival.A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comesas an unexpected visitor.Welcome and entertain them all!Even if they are a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your houseempty of its furniture, still, treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you outfor some new delight. The dark thought, the shame, the malice.meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.Be grateful for whatever comes.because each has been sentas a guide from beyond.— Jelaluddin RumiCopywrite 2008 Bruce Rawles. Cause and Effect — Sixth of the Seven Hermetic Lawsby Bruce Rawles(This article was excerpted and adapted from the upcoming book, "The Geometry Code: Symbolic Wisdom of Natural Laws Within Us" by Bruce Rawles, available soon from Elysian Publishing. This is the fourth of eight articles; you might want to first read the initial article in the series and the prior article on the Law of Mentalism and Law of Correspondence, Law of Vibration and the Law of Rhythm to get the context for this one. The remaining article will cover the Law of Gender or Generation. The secret of true prayer is to forget the things you think you need. To ask for the specific is much the same as to look on sin and then forgive it. Also in the same way, in prayer you overlook your specific needs as you see them, and let them go into God's Hands." — from The Song of Prayer supplement to A Course In MiraclesThe Law of Cause & Effect(We reap what we sow)— Keyword: PerfectionThe sixth of the seven laws or principles is given the name Cause and Effect in the Kybalion, along with the phrase "Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law." — The Kybalion.Preoccupation with Effect (Focusing on the Screen)"People are always blaming circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them." — George Bernard ShawThe law of Cause and Effect, like the other Hermetic Laws, applies equally to everyone; we all have the same opportunity to recognize that we have charge of the realm of cause, and are merely spectators to the realm of effect. How fortunate that the law works this way and not in reverse! Yet most of the world appears to be caught in the folly of ceaselessly chasing after desired effects, mindless of the golden opportunity that exquisite cause is within us, awaiting our invocation through the realm of how we feel. We can always — and do always — choose how we want to feel inwardly every moment (cause) despite how appearances (effect) may be presented to us outwardly (including the vast spectra of sensory, bodily, and material concerns.)Shaw's quote above provides part of the solution to life's apparent dilemmas — Circumstances (all the spacey, timey stuff we've gotten so hung up on as humans) are not an effective emphasis for our thoughts and feelings. If there is an outcome (or outcomes) that you are invested in within the realm of space and time, you immediately make an enemy (or at least a fearful projection) of the vast holographic machine of the Universe. Sometimes what appears on the screen of our material lives seems to be a pleasant, sunny jaunt through the pastoral countryside, abloom with fragrance from spring blossoms and sweetly accented with gentle bird songs (insert Hollywood's best here :-). Other times the screen shows us horror films that would make Alfred Hitchcock run screaming from the theater in stark terror. And then there's the bulk of our lives that range somewhere in between these extremes. This is all part of the rhythm of life in 3D that we signed up for, and then conveniently forgot about all the fine print in the boilerplate. We're dreamers, and instead of choosing total recall of the arrangements we made (to attempt to forget our origins by being obsessed with externals), we have been (almost) total sleepwalkers. Occasionally we have bursts of lucidity and remember that it is our mind that is the projector and that we are the projectionists, but most of the time (by design) we zombies operate in knee-jerk trance mode, oblivious to our birthright of choice, freedom and unimaginable happiness. It matters not whether our or not our bodies appear to be asleep physically — if we are preoccupied with results in the "world" we appear to be living in, we're forgetting about the movie — the dream — that we wrote, produced, directed and appear to be starring in…Fortunately, written into the script is a plot about waking up from the dream, which is basically unlearning the convenient and socially universal excuse of blaming what is going on around us (or what appears to have happened in our past) for our current well being. Eventually, our spiritual nature gets bored with having "been there, done that" with the various distractions, diversions and delays that in one form or another (the specific form really doesn't matter) keep us from finding the peace that exists within ourselves INDEPENDENT of any thing, any condition, any situation, regardless of who is or isn't currently showing on the screen of our lives, regardless of whether or not our inner cinematic broadcasting equipment is screening a comedy, a drama, a romance, a horror film, or an avant-garde experimental flick. In prior installments, we've explored how modern physics is leading us toward the conclusion that what our senses show us only has the reality we ascribe to it. If we want to be free, then we need to shift our attention from the screen of our senses (our interpretations of incoming data) and pay attention to the 'wizard behind the curtain', the lucid dreamer of the dream. This also has the benefit of showing us where the buttons are that make the thunder, lightning and all the other "special effects" that we've gotten so swept up by. If we realize that the buttons are in our control room, then we might just learn to stop pressing them unconsciously! :-) When we discover, like Jim Carrey's character in the Truman Show movie did, that we're on a gigantic movie set (except ours appears to encompass a gigantic universe filled with galaxies), we learn that we don't have to get too upset about what is, after all, just a movie. At some point, the script will be over and we get to go home. This, of course, requires trust in our transpersonal selves (our true non-dualistic spiritual nature), a willingness to consistently practice being aware that we're actors on the set and the lines that we've been given don't need our personal re-write (letting go of our finite agendas), and to forgive the other actors and props that seem to appear in the script of our lives. This doesn't mean that our theatrical performance doesn't count; it just means that we realize that our ephemeral lives aren't as important as our eternal lives. Then we're freed up to respond to the voice for our infinite nature rather than our finite nature. In fact, when we remember to laugh — just a little more each day — about our follies and loosen our grip on the drama, we start to see the backdrop dissolve a bit and the quiet light of cosmic serenity behind all the props begins to seep through the cracks. To use another analogy from a favorite Monty Python skit, we're like the tenants in an apartment building put up by hypnosis, and when we question the premise, the building wavers a bit! Or to mix another metaphor, it would be like an animal-rights activist who has been feeling terrible about sitting on a Naugahyde couch, who suddenly is relieved to learn that no naugas were harmed (let alone killed) in the making of his couch (or in our case, the virtual reality film we call our life.)"If there's no world 'out there' what are you reacting to? Ask yourself that question every moment of every day when your peace is disturbed." — Kenneth Wapnick (from the audio The Body An Engine Of Destruction.)"Everyone in this world has a 'victim script'". — Kenneth Wapnick (from the audio Climbing The Ladder Home.)Perception ultimately occurs in our minds, and therefore is subject to our interpretation. Here is where we liberate ourselves. Perception is inherently limited. As explored a bit in the article on "Take Home Lessons From Modern Physics", we have such a tiny window to the Universe, even in the few dimensions that we generally focus on! Our perceptions are fixated on the most infinitesimal fragment of all that is, even on the scale of this little planet spinning around the Milky Way, let alone the greater cosmos, and that's just with all undue respect to the familiar 3 axes of space and 1 axis of time (so we've been trained to believe.) Is it any wonder we go crazy trying to reconcile what appears to be outside us with what appears to be within when using our senses (and associated thoughts) as our criteria?Attending to Cause (Focusing on the Projector)"Just your imagination? Of course it's your imagination! This world is your imagination, have you forgotten? Where your thinking is, there is your experience; As a man thinks, so is he; That which I feared is come upon me; Think and grow rich: Creative visualization for fun and profit; How to find friends by being who you are. Your imagining doesn't change the Is one whit, doesn't affect reality at all. But we are talking about Warner Brothers worlds, MGM lifetimes, and every second of those are illusions and imaginations. All dreams with the symbols we waking dreamers conjure for ourselves." — Richard Bach (Illusions)Freedom, as Bach suggests, lies in reclaiming our power of choice; getting back into the projection room and deciding what reel to play, rather than throwing rotten tomatoes at the screen and wondering why the movie doesn't get better. It may take years (or perhaps lifetimes) to change what appears on the screen consistently, but … lest we forget the ALL IMPORTANT PRINCIPLE … the joy, the peace, the liberation of mind we're seeking is within us now, and has nothing to do with what is happening around us, including our bodies (since even our bodies ultimately exist in mind, as the first law of Mentalism, covered earlier, reminds.) When we proactively participate in the making of the film (rather than just being in the audience) and particularly when we align ourselves with our transpersonal purpose, we discover that being the cause rather than the effect is freedom.Fool-proof methods of testing when we're using transpersonal guidance is to ask ourselves how we feel — our transpersonal self consistently provides feelings of inner ease, integrity, humble appreciation of guidance beyond our individual 'needs' and the relaxing realization that the best interests of all are being served. The egoic (insane, special, finite, separation-oriented) mind relishes our suffering, and constantly tries to get us to get upset about (or even just lost in) what's happening on the screen. From its perspective, cause doesn't exist "Pay no attention to the projectionist behind the curtain!" From the vantage point of our real self, getting the design, the blueprint, the script, the ingredients, the CAUSE figured out is crucial, and nothing else is relevant, because what's showing now is the result of all the cosmic cinematography that has already taken place, with or without our conscious direction, and also includes what appear to be influences "outside ourselves" in the form of all the "others" and the rest of "our universe."We Can Never Control Effect Directly"… it's not what hapens that creates our experience of the event, it's our perception and interpretation of it." — Leonard Laskow, MD"Don't worry about results that may or may not be seen on the level of form." — Pursah, from Disappearance of the Universe by Gary RenardIn a video I watched recently by Kenneth Wapnick, he compares the mind with a puppeteer, and our physical world to the puppets we see; in this analogy the strings are invisible. We've made up an elaborate hoax of space-time. It appears that we're just tiny fragments in the vast ocean of actors that execute the scripts of our lives. Actually, if we made up the notion of separation, then all those "outside us" are just following the script we wrote … and forgot that we wrote. So why not forgive everyone who shows up on our stage (including ourselves) for acting out the dream drama? If we accord the fleeting and the temporary 'reality' (via attachments, aversions and annoyances) then we're just identifying with a role (effect) rather than the permanent, peaceful being we are.If we graciously accept (by allowing transpersonal inspiration to guide us) our inner serenity, then the actual occurrences in the world (our collective dream) don't need to affect us; instead we become independent of what is going on around us, we return to our proper place as managers of our inner stage, rather than mistaking our selves with the puppets we see in the realm of bodies, planets, and stuff. The degree of control that we can exercise on externals directly is, as we all have learned, often extremely limited, especially when it comes to events that result from the combined thoughts of millions or billions, yet we always have our hand on the rudder of our own ship; our own mind at every moment. Consistent navigation will ultimately allow us to cross the ocean to the shore where we belong, even if we pass through rough seas from time to time.We Can Always Allow The Guidance of Cause"If everyone just takes care of their own area, we wouldn't have any problems." — Willie NelsonIf we follow our inner guidance, we use every opportunity to inwardly (cause) choose the feeling of forgiveness rather than to choose the feelings of guilt and its projections of resentment, separation, and the myriad forms of unhappy dreaming. Every moment presents us with unique opportunities to forgive what appears to be on the screen (letting go of egoic identification; 'my story.') Instead, we use our transpersonal insights (the thought system of wholeness, pure non-duality and inclusiveness) as a gift each instant to extract the wisdom, emotional release and liberating ease that seeing through this thought system provides. For example, if you're listening to the radio while driving your car and a song or a news report reminds you how crazy the world is, you can take that two ways; you can allow the guidance of cause (your spiritual heritage) to interpret the temporal craziness as a reminder to sink deeper into the peace that identifying with timelessness affords, rather than becoming upset about the latest craziness. One approach allows us to laugh at our follies, and mobilizes us to take whatever effective action ('in the world') is appropriate, whereas the other narrowed perception not only snares our minds into a blame game, but also ironically locks out creative responses that we might otherwise use to work with cause to achieve and optimal effect. Anything can be a reminder or a mnemonic for our inner strength, serenity, and identification with our eternal, infinite nature. It just takes LOTS of practice! :-) Eventually, the "reaction time" becomes shorter and shorter, and then we can even laugh about when we have lapses in lucidity and help 'those around us' to not be so tough on themselves when they have been sleepwalking through life (just like us); true compassion unites rather than divides, since our minds are joined in cause. They only appear (due to the illusion of multiple bodies, etc.) to be separate.Avoiding Level Confusion (Choosing on the level of cause; allowing on the level of effect)"… while changing one's mind about the world and practicing forgiveness, any seeming individual could still seek solutions to problems that would seem acceptable in the illusory world — as long as they didn't chain themselves to the level of perception through the burden of belief." — Gary Renard, Disappearance of the UniverseLike all the Hermetic laws or principles, this one (Cause and Effect) can be used either by the fragmenting thought system of the ego … or by the non-dualistic thought system of our real self. Sound familiar? If you have been following this series of ideas, you'll probably notice a wonderful holographic principle: if you fully understand one law, one truth, you understand them all; since these laws are all interconnected, interwoven, interrelated — like us!One of the most frequent ploys of the egoic (a.k.a. addicted to suffering) mind is to involve us in what is referred to as "level confusion." On the level of cause (the real content of our inner experience), we have complete — actually boundless — freedom, yet we are so accustomed to believing that we're the victims of effect (illusion) that we hang out in our virtual jail cells long after the door has been unlocked. On the level of effect (form), the wheels, gears and pulleys of the billiard ball machinery of space time are pretty much playing out as per the script, as written by the infinite cast and crew… and we just appear to be one of.) So how to we respond appropriately and effectively to this "movie" going on around us? It's actually simple. All we need to do is to trust our inner guidance to feel true forgiveness for what appears to be happening, since from that vantage point, — above the battlefield of polarized thinking — we are free to not identify with the soap opera (or whatever flavor of drama) appears to be going on. We discover, as Terry Cole-Whittaker noted, that what others think of us is none of our business. We have plenty to deal with (and enjoy!) just by being responsible (happily!) for whatever appears on the screen. At the level of cause, we are unhooking, disconnecting and removing identification with the screen (fleeting, unstable, and forever shifting); this frees us from the drama. Another way of putting it is that we shift from an obligatory dramatic role to an optional comedic one, and our sense of humor provides the vaudeville hook that whisks the REAL us off the stage (where we've been all along). On the level of effect, we can observe the actors (including ourselves) doing all the things we would normally do in the world (on the stage); we can be ourselves naturally and take care of the business at hand, all the while inwardly realizing that this (act), too shall pass. The curtains, veils, fortresses and other elaborate stage props that we've conjured up as defenses against the truth will all disappear sooner or later.Below are a number of quotes that all contribute, in various ways, to joyously remembering that we ARE cause, and it is both our right and our opportunity to participate in cause, for the realization of our own freedom."There is no limit to the good you can do if you don't care who gets the credit." — General George C. Marshall"...and given readiness, you may not need to suffer the experience." — Helen Schucman, as quoted in Absence From Felicity by Kenneth Wapnick"There can be a real time discrepancy here, and sometimes we even see stars which are no longer there. Forget it; it's really gone." — Helen Schucman, as quoted in Absence From Felicity by Kenneth Wapnick"Don't make assumptions." — Don Miguel RuizEverybody's life touches so many other lives ... You can't help but have an significant impact on other people's lives as you go through it" — Gary Renard"Without forgiveness, metaphysics are useless." — Gary Renard"They must find it difficult ... Those who have taken authority as the truth, Rather than truth as the authority." — G. Massey, Egyptologist"Your brothers are everywhere. You do not have to seek far for salvation. Every minute and every second gives you a chance to save yourself. Do not lose these chances, not because they will not return, but because delay of joy is needless." — A Course In Miracles, Text"This is a course in cause and not effect … Therefore, seek not to change the world, but choose to change your mind about the world." — Pursah, quoting A Course In Miracles from Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard"Remember, just like you choose which movies you go to see at the local theater, you also chose this movie you call your life, as well as any other life movies you attend. It's always a case of self predestination." — Arten, from Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard"What if your Source cannot change or fail? Then you're putting your faith where faith is justified. Now you can see your transitory careers and endeavors as simply tools that can be used as symbolic expressions of your constant supply. Now your Source becomes a bottomless well where you can go for guidance that will always come in some form of inspiration. If your tool happens to break, so what? You don't have to be attached to it because it's not your Source. If your Source is constant, then one tool can be easily and quickly replaced by another one — through the very natural occurrence of inspiration. You can relax knowing that you can't lose your Source." — Arten, from Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard"Ultimately, the Universe itself is a symptom that will disappear." — Pursah, from Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard"You're not a spatial being, but a non-spatial one. Or as a physicist might put it, you're having a local experience, but you are actually non-local." — Arten, from Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard"We couldn't care less about the space-time conundrum. We simply would not want to rob you of your opportunities to learn your lessons firsthand and accelerate your return to God." — Arten, from Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard"The seeming effect is superfluous; it's the cause we're interested in." — Arten, from Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard"The real goal isn't dressing up your life; it's about awakening from what you think is your life. … isn't about fixing up the world." — Arten, from Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard"The world will appear to change for you at times because the Course handles the cause of everything, rather than effects. And what is the world but an effect? That is certainly not what the world believes — but this world is nothing to write home about." — Pursah, from Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard"Our focus is on the cause of the dream and undoing it." — Pursah, from Your Immortal Reality by Gary RenardWhat's the bottom line of all these quotes? We're spirit and spirit is cause, so WE ARE CAUSE.Geometric Symbols of Cause & Effect — The Holographic Tree Fractal"I say we are symbols because anything that appears to take on form is symbolic." — Pursah, from Disappearance of the Universe by Gary RenardWe recall, once again, that form, as designed by the egoic (splitter) mind, is all about seeing differences and emphasizing (in the realm of effect) all the variations that appear to be apart and isolated. As Pursah says in Your Immortal Reality, "physics demonstrates that you can't really separate one thing from something else." So, in the hands of our inclusive, eternal, transpersonal mind, (a.k.a. Holy Spirit) we can use forms and symbols as reminders for awakening from the dream, returning to our proper place in the projection room rather than being fixated on the screen. The symbol of a tree, used by this integrative thought system, becomes a mnemonic for remembering that mind is cause (metaphorically the roots, the soil and nourishment of attention given to a kindly, compassionate attitude of non-separation) and the branches are effect (the limbs bearing fruit). In this example, we see the tree (the one cause beyond space time) rather than the twigs and branches. We see the forest AND the trees (as one). Each seeming level of magnification of the holographic fractal of a tree or a forest is just a reminder to live in cause, rather than seeming to be isolated in a twig, stem or branch. Other metaphors, such as river tributaries, our respiratory, circulatory and nervous systems, computer networks, genetic lineage, and so many more, all can serve the purpose of reminding us to turn our attention to CAUSE and let effect take care of itself.Copywrite 2008 Bruce Rawles. Gender/Generation — Seventh of the Seven Hermetic Lawsby Bruce Rawles(This article was excerpted and adapted from the upcoming book, "The Geometry Code: Symbolic Wisdom of Natural Laws Within Us" by Bruce Rawles, available soon from Elysian Publishing. This is the fourth of eight articles; you might want to first read the initial article in the series and the prior article on the Law of Mentalism and Law of Correspondence, Law of Vibration and the Law of Rhythmand the Law of Cause & Effect to get the context for this one.The Law of Gender/Generation (Unfoldment, Evolution, Yin/Yang, Blessing, Gratitude, Abundance, Family, Community, Root and Offspring, Like Begets Like, Compassion, Kindness, Empathy, Forgiveness, Release, Allowing, Awe, Non-resistance, Integrity, Fusion) — Keyword: GratitudeThe seventh of the seven laws or principles is given the name Gender or Generation in the Kybalion, along with the phrase:"Gender is in everything; Everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles; Gender manifests on all planes." — The Kybalion"… here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)…" Michael Hedges, Taproot from a poem by E.E. CummingsRoots, Generators, Propagators —Divergence of Form and Convergence of SpiritIn our 3D 'reality', what we call life generally requires the fusion or union of male and female elements to initiate a viable individual to propagate a new member of a species. Even in the mineral and plant kingdoms, one can identify masculine and feminine principles working together for the evolvement of an individual, family or community structure. For example, salt crystals build by accretion of sodium and chloride ions that have positive and negative charges — gender polarized archetypes, in a sense. In the plant kingdom, the morphology of growth usually involves both radial or circular (feminine) symmetries and expansion such as the circumferential growth rings of a tree, simultaneous with linear or angular (masculine) extension such as the gradually lengthening height of a tree and each of its cylindrical branches and recursive stems. With careful observation, any form of biological life can be seen as composed of male and female attributes. All life that occupies form, space and time exhibits divergence, division and fragmentation. The classic example from genetics is that we have two parents, four grandparents, eight great-grandparents, ad infinitum. It would seem that there's a population explosion reaching backwards in time with the magnitude of our lineage moving toward the infinite, or at least more folks that presumably have ever been on this planet at one time! I've never figured out how to reconcile that one, have you? :-) Even within our own bodies, the process of cell division keeps multiplying the number of original cells until we walk around with several trillion cells! We're good at multiplying even if we don't care for math!"All multiplication happens by division of the wholeness ... All centers are one."— Foster GambleThe characteristics of the parents (whether they be humans, cells or thoughts) tend to carry forth in the next generation. It's easy to see examples of this genetic and morphogenic momentum in the realm of form, yet the other Hermetic Laws (in particular Mentalism and Cause & Effect) remind us that it applies equally to the formless. Ideas also follow Newton's First Law: "An object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force." The "offspring" (effect) of an idea (cause) tends to follow the pattern of its ancestry, or in other words, we'll know them by their fruits. If we want a particular outcome, we have to work with the corresponding root stock which involves both thought (masculine principle) and feeling (feminine principle). The degree of harmony between these gender elements determines the quality, potency and viability of the result."Thoughts held in mind reproduce after their kind. It's the nature of thinking. What we hold in our mind reproduces itself in the reality of our life and our experience."— Mary Manin Morrisey, author of Building Your Field of DreamsWhat is the 'take home lesson' for this law? If we practice internal serenity born from matched thoughts and feelings of ease, we will generate more of the same in a cumulative manner. This seventh law incorporates and consummates the potential of all the other six laws. We recognize that all exists within our minds (Mentalism — there's nothing outside us) and we have both masculine and feminine qualities within our minds with which to create reality or fabricate our Universe at our whim. We observe the law of Correspondence that reminds us that the 'as above, so below; as within, so without' principle also includes the pair of gender archetypes in any interaction or communication. Light (electromagnetic energy — a perfect example of the law of Vibration) is composed of both electrical (masculine) and magnetic (feminine) aspects. Without both of these fields expanding and collapsing in their coherent (phase conjugate) dance, we would be in literal darkness. The law of Polarity is embodied in the seemingly opposed sides of the gender scale; the voidance or neutralization of these pairs gives rise to synthesis or the birth of a new form. This dynamic cycle of tension and release follows the law of Rhythm (which Walter Russell described as "Rhythmic balanced interchange between all givings and regivings") according to natural cycles of ebb and flow. And the properties of the offspring (Effect) inevitably mirror the Cause (conceptual underpinnings) of any idea or species.Mastermind Generation —Enlisting an Inner Advisory Council for Support and Guidance"The way to get things done is to not mind who gets the credit for doing them."— Benjamin Jowett, British theologian and classicist.Numerous books have been written about organizational dynamics and how powerful it can be to have resonant intention, disciplined focus and benevolent rapport brought to bear on a shared vision or goal. Successful corporations and non-profit groups around the world know how to benefit from the practice of assembling a team to work through and beyond interpersonal issues. They give attention to the needs of the greater community. When this is achieved, a group can go beyond the finite edges and boundaries of self in the limited and limiting sense and do things no individual could dream of doing, whether it be the landing on the moon, designing the next iPhone, solving global energy issues through efficient transportation, broadcasting innovative farming practices around the planet or sharing a concert with millions at once. Sustainability is the result of consistent application of both technical (head — masculine) and cultural (heart — feminine) best practices with full cooperation, communication and communion; breakthrough momentum to unprecedented performance happens after sustained application becomes automatic, organic and intrinsic. We don't have to form a physical board of directors or book a conference room for a face-to-face meeting to apply this principle. Whenever we tune into the enduring qualities, inner strengths and eternal attributes in others (be they friends, family members, colleagues or whatever) we can gratefully share their qualities, strengths and attributes because they are not limited to space or time any more than we are. On a physical level, giving something to someone else usually implies loss or sacrifice on the part of the giver in order for the receiver to gain. On a mental level, however, giving always reinforces and benefits both giver and receiver. So when we adopt the beneficial qualities of another, we not only make them our own, we strengthen the meme, pattern or idea of the originator. We dissolve separation. We are all designed to be contributors, the "secret" to feeling gratitude and abundance. When we are practicing our best ABCs (altruistic, benevolent and charitable), we mobilize the universal goodwill of the Bodhisattva perspective (when the observer becomes the observed through transpersonal forgiveness.) The "outside world" disappears when an athlete delivers a peak performance (their gift) or an artist is so engaged that there is no separation from their vision and their expression. We can do this at any time by merely seeing the unlimited spirit in 'others' as being indistinguishable from the same spirit in ourselves. This doesn't mean that we ignore the ephemeral sensory information we receive; it just means that the underlying feeling is that who we all are, together as one, beyond our bodily disguises, is what is most important. This is the crucial vantage point that permits true forgiveness to work miracles."One cannot see well except with the heart, the essential is invisible to the eyes."— Antoine de Saint-Exupery, The Little PrinceThis need not be limited to just mundane goals, although it works wonderfully for that as well. Applying our inner mastermind group to the practice of inspiration, community and companionship that is not bound by temporal or spatial constraints is where this idea really shines. If you call upon those you greatly admire for particular qualities within yourself, you strengthen those quality in them (in your mind, which is where they exist anyway), in yourself, and in your associations or relationships to them. It doesn't even matter if they happen to be in physical form (e.g. Jeshua, Buddha, Mother Teresa, Einstein and his first wife, Hypatia — pick your favorite inspiration) or even if they ever were! For example, I sometimes draw upon Pogo possum's whimsical quip of "We have met the enemy and they is us," although I quickly (after using that idea to release anyone 'else' from any condemnation) apply and concentrate on the complementary wisdom of our transpersonal self which suggests that we've met our Friend and this is truly our identity. The spirit of wholeness is an infallible guide for decision making, as well as THE perfect mentor for demolishing any illusion of loneliness or specialness. With this awareness, we gratefully acknowledge that we have more support and true kinship than we could possibly imagine."J said, "when you make the two into one, you will become children of Adam, and when you say, 'Mountain, move from here!" it will move."— Gary Renard from Pursah's Gospel of Thomas in Your Immortal RealityWhen we allow the virtues of our inner mastermind group to infuse us with what we seem to lack, we're really just seeding our awareness with the idea that we've had those strengths all along. The key ingredient is trust! Relying on wisdom beyond ourselves can seem to require enormous courage, yet this will is ours whenever we accept the underlying premise that we are not just finite little separate chunks of the cosmos, but rather an awareness that is a state of eternal intercourse with all that is. The thought system that proclaims we're victims of circumstance, doomed to oblivion in a less-than-wonderful speck of space-time is the same one that resists the irresistible truth that we ARE all one being, whole essence, forever free of self-imposed constraints. If we put a tourniquet on our natural impulse toward compassion, joy, caring and gratitude for the gifts that each equal soul brings into our life, then we're imposing frustration on the intrinsic release that our friends are offering us at every turn. Each moment is a gift of eternity, if we just let go of our own prejudices, forgive our misperceptions, embrace the essence of whoever appears in front of us as truly WITHIN us, then we are masters of the law of generation, free to return home with our siblings. The Ultimate Goal Beyond Goals: Real PeaceThere's nothing wrong with Rumi poems, rose petals and romantic passion, yet what our heart of hearts longs for is real peace — unshakeable, infinitely sustainable, conflict-transcending peace. We are all so fortunate, because that IS our birthright and our eternal inheritance! We sometimes get glimpses of this inevitable return to the embrace of our creator when we let go of our mental fixations, human dramas, and personal stories long enough to allow the ever-present peace of our creator to wash over us.The typical approach of the conventional upside-down attitude is to find solace by trying to make the effect the way we think we want it — whether it be in the form of external relationships, situations, or bodily health and function (and the myriad of magic formulas we concoct to try to maintain it such as nutrition, exercise, environment, etc.) If there was a physical practice (or lack thereof) or optimum mix of situations that truly released us from our burdens, we would have found it by now, having spent countless lifetimes trying about every permutation possible! :-) At some point, we will be ready to open our hearts and minds to the fact that what is going on around us (and our remarkably crazy attempts to direct this) is never going to bring us lasting happiness. Our willingness to heal our minds (where the true healing happens) invariably involves healing our relationships to others as we drop the boundaries that appear to separate us.When we reverse the world's thinking and put Cause before Effect, we become immediately empowered with both aspects of our natural unlimited generating capability, male and female. We discover that both the masculine principle (thought) and the ever-intertwined feminine principle (feeling) are within us and under our direction; subject to our choice of thought system. When we identify with our transpersonal being, the thoughts and feelings of relaxation, ease and gratitude integrate, synthesize, and converge toward the healing of unity: oneness. When we identify with our finite, personal existence, we toil in the frustrating realm of appearances where some measure of imbalance (whether male or female, it doesn't matter) appears to be outside ourselves, forever just out of reach like the proverbial carrot on a stick dangling in front of us. The transpersonal, forgiving, compassionate perspective brings the multitude of diverse and opposing phenomena to a quiet stillness, in a state including, yet beyond balance, since our real non-dual nature is neither male nor female."No matter what you are doing, keep the undercurrent of happiness. Learn to be secretly happy within your heart in spite of all circumstances."— Paramahansa Yogananda"The true realism, always and everywhere, is that of the poets: to find out where joy resides, and give it a voice far beyond singing. For to miss the joy is to miss all."— Robert Louis Stevenson"It's not only that the emperor has no clothes, there's no emperor."— Kenneth Wapnick, from Form vs. Content: Sex and Money audio program."Get into the spirit of the state desired by assuming the feeling that would be yours were you already the one you want to be."— Neville, Feeling is the Secret, p. 109In the material universe, balance is attained and polarization discharged by those who appear to temporarily have more, giving to those who appear to temporarily have less. In truth, of course, we are all one, beyond space, time, matter, energy and form, and ALL ARE ALL and HAVE ALL. So even though we APPEAR to be deficient (to an infinite degree!) if we identify with form, bodies and the stories that accompany them, we're all already in possession of an infinite supply. The more we identify with our true unlimited nature, the more we dispel the fears, frustrations and folly of extrinsic thinking. Let go, trust the infinite and allow the blessings present here and now to integrate!Everyone we've ever loved, or will ever love, or love now resides within us; they live within our heart. As challenging as it may seem, we already are 'home'… we're just mentally retracing a path we've already followed. This is why following our inner guidance is accompanied by a deep sense of relief and ease; we were designed to follow this path of least inner resistance."What we forgive becomes a part of us, as we perceive ourselves."— A Course In Miracles, Workbook Lesson #350Forgiveness — the true forgiveness that doesn't try to make space-based and time-based illusions real and then cancel them out, but the sort that overlooks what was never there because it WAS never there (a momentary blip in eternity) — dissolves the veils of separation, and restores the peace and comfort that transcends words. Having stated that, gratitude is a word that approximates a hint of that feeling; not appreciation based on any kind of comparison, situation or condition, but a thankfulness that encompasses all and can only relate to complete inclusion; no thing and no one is left out. There is nothing and nobody to cause any disturbance of this awareness, because all IS included.Gratitude, generosity of spirit, and inclusive sharing all go together. As an example of a life-changing event for me that happened a few years ago, in 2003 I got a phone call from someone I'd never met (at least in this 'lifetime') who had seen my website and asked me to give some presentations at a conference. The pivotal nudge that provided me has propagated and generated in countless ways during the ensuing years. Not only did my passion for sacred geometry find a superb outlet through the venue of this global conference, but many of the hundreds of friends I met there I continue to keep in touch with, sharing insights, joys and help, deepening kinship and extending the reach of our ideas by mutual support and social networking. If you ever doubt the generating, propagating effect of a simple act of kindness (or just need a boost of encouragement to continue your spiritual journey with patience, compassion and charity of heart), there are a couple of movies I recommend. Both of these films show that we have only the tiniest glimpse of the benevolent effect that sharing goodwill and happiness offer in the unimaginably vast network of interactions, even on the most mundane of levels. The first is a decades-old classic called It's a Wonderful Life"." In this film, we learn how we often forget that our contributions positively affect so many around us, particularly in ways we haven't the slightest clue about. Once again, we see the virtue of trust and maintaining confidence in our inner guidance despite the temptations to discouragement. The second is a short film featured via Spiritual Cinema Circle, entitled "Right Here, Right Now." This international gem shows how even the most seemingly inconsequential choices (both positive and negative) can have far-reaching repercussions and generations of cause/effect linkages. The film also shows how the motives of encouragement, compassion and kindness save the day!"A miracle contains the gift of grace, for it is given and received as one. And thus it illustrates the law of truth the world does not obey, because it fails entirely to understand its ways. A miracle inverts perception which was upside-down before, and thus it ends the strange distortions that were manifest. Now is perception open to the truth. Now is forgiveness seen as justified." — A Course In Miracles, WorkbookYin-Yang Diameter Fractal — a geometric metaphorThe accompanying illustration shows a nested variation on the familiar "Yin-Yang" shape, which traditionally represents male (with its intrinsic embedded anima female) and female (with its intrinsic embedded animus male.) In this image, we see how each of two circles in the largest pair also has a generating (and/or comprising) pair within it. This fractal pattern represents not only physical genetics and ancestry, but also the genius (same root word as generous, genii and genuine) of seeing that all of creation is nested inside us — there is nothing we lack because all of our ancestors are brought to integrity within. This moment, this now, is the culmination of our life's work, our quest for understanding if we but embrace the totality, encompassing all seemingly divergent opposites by listening to our conscience. Let's allow ourselves to be part of the flow of life by being willing to help birth what always was into our awareness.Another truth depicted by this symbol is that men have both male and female aspects, and women have both male and female aspects. In reality, we're beyond space and time where all dualistic concepts reside, so we reflect the aspects of both genders in time, yet neither in eternity. One may find great peace in that realization! Light is neither male nor female; it does not experience time, space or other dimensional attributes. We ARE light. Balance (as with all 7 symbols) is found in the center still point. As one last reminder in this series of articles, the meaning underlying the symbol is where the importance is, not the particular symbol or its form. The cross section of a torus or donut shape is two identical circles that just touch. The contact point between the two smaller circles is the singularity of non-dual, quintessential balance. If you picture the graphic above with all but the outermost circle and two largest inscribed circles remaining, you see the epitome of two paradigms; the outermost circle (our true joyous unlimited nature which embraces all seeming dualities and polarities, including gender) … and the two inner circles, each of which appears incomplete from the partial perspective of "glass half full" or "not seeing the forest for the trees." Yes, we can choose inclusion instead of exclusion, realizing that we're all the forest, the full glass and the infinitely large circle that includes all."How necessary it is to cultivate a spirit of joy. It is a psychological truth that the physical acts of reverence and devotion make one feel devout. The courteous gesture increases one's respect for others. To act lovingly is to begin to feel loving, and certainly to act joyfully brings joy to others which in turn makes one feel joyful. I believe we are called to the duty of delight." — Dorothy DayCopywrite 2008 Bruce Rawles. All rights reserved.
