I think for me I see it the other way around .... I strongly believe that we ARE love, but for some odd reason we listen to that little insecure voice in our heard telling us it can't be true. I think you feel you act it out because what you truely am are pushing its way forward and then the little voice goes ... nah this is not for real.
I truely think most of us, to others, are a lot more lovable then we give ourselves the credit for ... it is hard to see for ourselves because it is what comes natural for us. That is why people doing bad things stand out a lot more and they tend to make us angry or sad as we realize that part of us does not live life as being true to our self and the love we are. Bad action reminds us of the compassion we have within.
Just my take on this :)
