Come on now folks, let's not all start getting defensive, or putting ourselves on pedestal's just because there are real, honest, open-hearted folks out there, who succumb to the requests of, seemingly, innocent discussions!
Why the need to judge, offend and bully people because of the choices they make in their own lives???

We are ALL individual in our own right, and we deserve the right to make our own choices, WITHOUT judgement!

Let me try and put it more simply for you and anyone else.
If you do not harm another living being, anyone can ascend in anyway one can think of.
The logic you are using is so obviously flawed, what you are saying is that one can be a literal saint, working in true service to others everyday of ones life, but oops, you smoke cigarettes, we can't let you in heaven, sorry.
That makes no rational sense what so ever, though feel free to maintain your perspectives, as that is how one learns, by experiencing the result of ones perceptions and all the choices that follow.

I smoked for 15 years, and did not ever think it may bother anyone, somewhat disrespectful i was. Then one evening my deceased grandmother came to me and said to stop smoking. That was good enough for me and I quit. The hardest part was the habit. Anyways after about 6 months of not smoking I began tasting food in a different way and smelling things better and before you know it I gained 30 lb's but then when I went to a restaurant (back when it was legal to smoke in public) I began to have a hard time breathing around the smoke and like anywhere that people can smoke it became a problem. So for me it is hard to breath and that's all. Smoke is hard on the body and for that reason alone one should consider stopping but for your reasons not mine.
It's a matter of respect that's all. Teach your children respect and they may be respectful to others.
Hi folks, Hi mgem80, thanks for sharing your well thought out perspective, it is rational and compassionate.
People don't seem to be connecting the dots with this issue and many others when it comes to an individuals choice, this belittling of individual choice which does no harm to others leads to nothing of benefit, except to those that wish to divide and rule.
As for those that wish to split hairs about second hand smoke and such, be serious, go outside and try not to inhale automobile fumes or any other numerous toxins wafting through the air.
Yet some people choose to focus more on peoples individual choices than focus on whole industries that are poisoning the air.
Do people realize that smokers and many other individual choices people make are just used to distract people and create more divisiveness, while the industries around us, that resist change tooth and nail for at least 150 years or more, are more than happy to suppress new energy technologies that would eliminate auto exhaust by revealing self running electromagnetic engines.
You see, one idea, snowballs until it affects all our lives in detrimental ways, and one of those ideas, is getting us the people to fight among ourselves over petty crap, that means very little to the good of all.
How about someone start a thread on automobiles, how they are actually of no benefit anymore to us and are now only impeding our technological progress by the continued use of such dinosaur tech.
Yet, people will probably defend their use of such archaic technology with excuses like, i have to go to work and many other shallow excuses. Ya well your going to work and anywhere else is poisoning the air i and others breath, so stop it.
You see, we can apply this twisted logic to many things if you folks would like.
The only reason most anyone has to go work, is because the very energy of thought that would attack freedom of individual choice, demands that people pay for stuff with worthless ink paper that some malevolent groups keep printing up in hopes we will keep believing in their illusion.

Actually, free-energy technology is already out there. Ought to do some experimenting, the field needs as much validation as it can get.
Other technologies, such as magnetic (or... whatever) levitation, are speculated here. It's the compendium of many of the things pertaining to so called hidden technologies.
Just walk away. Love and dignity in tact. No questions just choice. Explore the choices and prosper. Something is really only unhealthy for someone if they choose for it to be. We make choices for ourselves not others:)
Because its disgusting and insidious. That is to say, not loving.
