Who inspires you?

My best friend of 25 years, has had an awful year.

She has been made redundant twice, her mum had to have her leg amputated 3 weeks ago, and she had to move her and her kids in with her mum to help, and in the midst of all this, her dad suddenly died of a massive heart attack last week.

And, despite all the pain and grief she is going through, all the stuff that needs to be done, all the stuff that has happened, she is still laughing and joking, still has a smile on her face, still the beautiful person she has always been and is not letting it get her down.

I know how she is feeling inside, but she is coping with everything so well, just  getting on with it.

We where there today, helping her clear her house out, and she is full of laughter and giggles and so much inner strength, and to me, she is amazing and an inspiration and i admire her so much.

She made me realise today, that no matter what is going on, your true nature is always underneath, and her true nature is beautiful and she shines so bright.

When life gets us down, sometimes laughter and friendship is a good way to make things better for a little while.

With this post in mind, who inspires you and why?

  • I understand perfectly why I believe what I believe, and think how I think. I mean, I am me lol Who knows better about me, than me.

And that's not what it is, One just doesn't like me...and any chance he gets, he takes some shot, or tries to contradict....I don't even know why. And it's not just me, it's most people. I know his intention isn't to...help me...lol His intention is to contradict, and try to make me feel wrong, and make me feel less. Well it's not working One...so you mays well give it up.

  • Kelly and Minerva - Excellent stories of inspiration, enjoyed them both.

It would be wonderful if more posts could have demonstrate this type message and perhaps even inspire others, so many of us are tired of the fighting and lies.

    Thanks for possting!

  • Well I try to look at things, in a neutral way, most of the time. I know Hitler represented a lot of bad things, but Hitler was inspirational in alot of ways. He had vision...he really was a visionary. He had a vision for what he wanted to create, not just for Germany, but for the whole world. I mean this guy wanted to change the world...and create a utopia...he wanted to change mankind into a race of gods. I mean, I admire that, because in alot of ways, that's what I'd like to see, and help do. He just went about it totally the wrong way.

He was highly intelligent...any statesmen, even from Britain, who went to meet with him, marveled at his intelligence. I admire his power...and strength...and will. I admire his leadership skills, his expressive abilities, his depth. I admire all the responsibility he took on himself...literally taking the responsibility of changing all of humanity, into his hands. That's a heavy thing, a thing most people wouldn't even dream of being able to do. I love his balance of...the artist and intellectual...I'm very much like that. And....despite his bad qualities, he also had alot of good qualities, like he was a vegetarian, he loved kids, and animals, and trees. In private he was very charming and classy.

I just admire who he was, and what he tried to do...even if I don't agree with how he went about it. I try not to get into the game of...oh Hitler, evil...he killed millions of people...yea he did...and that's reprehensible to me....but everyone, no matter who....always has qualities to admire and be inspired by.

Even the Cabal....the Illuminati....we might hate them...but you have to tip your hat off to a certain degree, these guys almost did it lol They almost took over the world...and enslaved all of humanity. They were intelligent and gutsy enough to try and almost get it done.

Even someone like Drekx, who....me and you don't really like....but even he has admirable qualities, he's knowledgeable...he does have some intelligence...he has a somewhat strong will...and he has a magnetism that draws people to him....I think lol Maybe it's just his status, but so be it. There's always something to admire in someone, no one is without good qualities.

    • yes your obama is better than romney attitude is VERY neutral lol.  hitler also believed the lance of longinus coupled with the holy grail would make him king of the earth. netural right? he didnt want to change humanity he wanted to exterminate anything not of what he deemed to be perfect, of which he himself did not even qualify.

what you eat doesnt make you a good person, being a good person makes you a good person.

      • Anything you can think of, to try and take a shot at me, eh Mr. One lol Why is that. Why do you feel the need to do that. Do I threaten you that much, I don't even talk to you most of the time lol So tell me...why do you always feel the need to bring me down a couple of notches.

  • Well everyone has something in them, to admire, to be inspired by. I'm just saying that these people, in particular, were my biggest inspirations growing up, and even now. And I can go into why...but that would take a while lol

Yea I admire greatness, I don't know how people can not. But the truth is, people will be drawn to whatever people suits their purpose, and helps inspire them to do or be or learn things they need to learn or do or be. Like someone who's life plan is to be a pianist...will admire great pianists. Someone who likes racing cars, will admire great race car drivers. Someone who...needs to learn a certain spiritual lesson...will admire people who exemplify that quality. People will find people, to inspire them, when they need to be inspired, for what they need to be inspired for....to progress their life lessons and plans. That's how it goes.

LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT.

  • does the thing of great beauty need to be a killing tool?  blacksmithing creates many more things.  i like the analogy just not the product mentioned.

how about in the forge with much fire and hammering we can turn swords to plowshares.

  • Awesome!  This is a wonderful Blog and I agree wholeheartedly with  everyone....This is an inspiration.
