Ok, so we are all aware, there are 39 days and counting till Dec 21st 2012.
There is much debate, on this site, and others i suppose, as to what will happen.
Regardless of that, of what will, or wont happen, what can WE as HUMANS actually do to help others?
I think, in many ways, we are selfish, but we also have lots of love inside too, and we do want to help, so what can we do that will actually help?
We maybe do need to do work on ourselves first, that is maybe the selfish part, i know i need to work on me, but we should also not forget others too.
If we understand the concept of all is one, then maybe we can stop bickering, and arguing, and get down to some actual ideas of a practical nature, not just spiritual, which can help others in practical ways.
I dunno, im jusy throwing some ideas around here, any input is welcome :)

America has an African American family in the white house if that is not real change then I don't know what is...and it is now in 2012. I think that for myself frequencies, vibrations need to be raised, and I have to do the work. Volunteer work and helping (ground work) others is apart of it to, but you cannot help others if you are not caring for yourself. I think for myself what I need to do is to step out from behind myself.
I think there is a lot of shifting and movement in the astral planes.
We do not need to do anything for others, if we are changing our self for better, because if everyone works upon his / her shortcomings, the world will bY itself become a better place.
let us learn to forgive and let go- a quality which is fast becoming rare.

Everybody is bound to be selfish from time to time. Though as typical of human nature it may be, selfishness just hurts other people, sometimes at little to no personal gain. Don't expect to become a saint overnight. Don't hate yourself because you think you can't change. You'll get there. Changing who you are will take time, but recognizing that you need to alter your view is good though sometimes we can be very much defined by the company we keep.
A truly selfish person would never consider the possibility that they are selfish. Many think selfishness and pride are good things, and that putting the needs of others above your own is for the silly and the foolish.
To give yourself some loving attention is not selfish. It is sensible. If you feel loved and cherished--even if it is only by yourself--then you will have more love to give to others, too. There is a big difference between perceiving something, and actually consciously listening to what people have to say.
It's more selfless to act happy. It takes energy, generosity, and discipline to be unfailingly light-hearted, yet everyone takes the happy person for granted. No one is careful of his/her feelings or tries to keep his/her spirits high. He/she seems self-sufficient; he/she becomes a cushion for others. Almost every errant action ever committed can be traced back to a selfish motive. It is a trait we hate in other people but justify in ourselves
yes, it is true, first step should be directed at helping self first but never we should forget to help those in need all around us. it is not selfish to start with our selves first , that's were it begins.
As far as trying to say that communication around this site or just anywhere on the streets like few pointed out in this topic, is impossible , is wrong. There are always few spoiled apples on the tree but those do not kill the tree; to use a metaphor.........
There's always hope tomorrow for those who refuse any change today..............................

You know I always thought the whole situation was quite funny, we (not everyone of course), we are waiting for the galactics and the galactics are waiting for us.
Turns out out we are waiting for ourselves to come up to their level, otherwise a whole lot of trouble would ensue. (as history teaches)

According to the information on this video if true -- we are not as smart as what came before long ago. And we are just now picking ourselves up and dusting each other off, before its wiped out once again.

Working with myself is something I prioritize. I see it as not being selfish since it effects more than we can understand. Just to act from your heart and try to see love in everything. :) I also want to give a good quote I recently read,hope it impacts you as it impacted me:
"This game can only be won by those who lose their cards in the melting influence of love; can only be won by those who lay their pleasures, their limitations, their all upon the table face up and say inwardly: “All, all of you players, each other-self, whatever your hand, I love you.” This is the game: to know, to accept, to forgive, to balance, and to open the self in love."
Remember life is all a school and not a struggle against our will. We chose this for ourselves in order to evolve or help others evolve :). Some call it a game. Ultimatley everything happens that best suits our own evolution, so there is no need to "worry" about anything actually, that is still part of the duality. But I firmly believe that this 3d Density are coming to pass, and I don't see why it shouldn't be in our near future. Very much indicates that.

I feel the biggest plus seen in this whole humanity thingy is support from one another, we may disagree on what side the egg is opened, but we all agree it's an egg -- our egg,--- and we are all in this together.
Just like an amusement ride at the park, the biggest, tallest. Fastest ride available usually has the biggest line of people waiting to get on. Those people come from all walks of life, ages, and back grounds.
Once strapped in securely so you don’t fall out. And it begins to move on its trek there is no turning back till its over….. The only thing, no matter how scary or bumpy it gets, the only one reassuring fact we have is, scream all you want get the stress out and look around at everyone else there screaming too, ---- HERE IT COME’S --- we are all in this roller coaster ride together. Just looking around at each other is reassuring in its self. When you look over and see some screaming. Some calm as a cucumber, with a smile on there face, or those who have the eye closed and never look at this stuff -- dates and prophecies-- or other’s mouth wide open eye’s even bigger breathlessly anticipating the next curve or drop off. We are all in this together.
I’m sure it was metaphorical as a parable -- the story about the decuples crossing the lake in a storm had to wake up a sleeping son of God to get that reassurance that all is as it should be. He looked around and asked them why did you wake me. LOL its just a ride for the spirit, disaster for the human condition.
What can we do? Hang on to one another in a globle hug. :-) or local -- who ever is standing near you. :-)
