Twinkle, twinkle, little 'star'

A friend of mine took a series of close up photos (with advanced photoequipment) of a "star". I made a little film, in slow-motion, where youcan clearly see the "star" changing colors.



Please note that the images are
NOT manipulated in photo-shop.

For the inquiring mind:
The lens used is a 700mm. ISO was setto 1600. Shutter speed 1/60. White balance: auto. Camera: Nikon D300s.BTW, I asked what "star" this is and he is not sure, but will try tofigure it out.

    A D300S with a 700mm lens, I want one, all I need now is a getaway car and gun! Haha.
    Nice pics, thanks for posting, and no, I'm not envious of your friends gear, but would love to get my hands on something like that.
