Taken literally, we can think of light and dark as the presence or absence of some attribute.  But if we define darkness as the absence of light, then what is light but the absence of dark?  Is it logical to describe two attributes in this manner?  Because it seems to be that the question of “what is dark/light” is never answered. 

However, many seem to think that the light and dark represent the presence/absence of something, but what is this something?  It is not energy for the dark surely has energy as well—and we are aware of this.  Is light/dark the presence/absence of pigmentation?  But what is pigmentation but color and color but the transmutation of energy {back at square one!}

And what of “colors” that our vision does not allow us to see?  We cannot see all forms of energy—we cannot stand in awe of the beauty of a gamma ray—we are very powerful beings, but lack the ability to see all with our physical eyes.  What if the dark isn’t really dark at all?  It’s just an energy that we cannot see.  What if there is light in the darkness after all—but we were just using the wrong equipment to detect it?

Now of course I have been talking about physical light and dark but what many refer to as “light” and “dark” refers more to value terms.  Light is love—yes—but if we go back to our parallel with physical light and dark perhaps dark is just a love we do not have the equipment to detect.  (but this time our trouble is with cognitive apparatuses). 

Energy is love—The Creator is love—and us as creators are love—but the love is not always unconditionally felt for one another.  Is love of oneself—even to the point of narcissism—love?  If a father shoots another over the last drink of water for his child—is this an act of love?  Once again, it seems to be what “team you are on”.  The father and family may see it as a display of love, the financier may see his business transactions as a manifestation of his love for materialism and self—but the victims of the shootings and shady business deals do not see it as such.  Conquerors, conquistadors, and Inquisitionists carrying out deeds we deem horrible did so in the name of love.

The energy—the light and the dark and everywhere in between—IS real. It is in your soul, your essence, your being.  Our Mother gave us the ability to be here, to work with the energies of the cosmos, to evolve from self-consciousness to God consciousness (a very long and arduous process it seems!)  This is also interpreted as a path from dark to light—we always assume to “evolve” to a more useful, higher plane of existence.

Our Mother also teaches the necessity of transmuting materialism—the love of flesh and the physical—into spirituality to experience complete harmony.  A harmony within yourself, your body, spirit and soul.  To detach from objects and flesh—for it limits your vision—it sets boundaries on your love and where you see love.

Of course, love knows no boundaries we say—and love is all there is, love is all you need.  Everything exists because of love—be it a love for something we admire or abhor.  So Light…is love...dark...is love, because energy is love and love is all.  We just had a slight memory lapse—a malfunction in our cognitive apparatuses, a download we cannot find the directory to.

So does this mean taking another life is ok?  That robbing million of people right under their nose is acceptable because it is ultimately done out of some transformation of love? It is not ideal if we wish to experience the evolutionary trend to God consciousness.  If we wish to completely lose the desire to please your material needs through meeting the spiritual needs of yourself and others.  To postpone and withhold judgment for we realize that light and dark originate from the same source—the only source.  So while the aforementioned actions are not indicative of a person currently operating with or aspiring to what we would call God consciousness—it nevertheless is another experience along the path to it.  Some paths wind much more than others.

In sum...we cannot label/categorize the dark/light without a reference to a preferential state of being—to a preference, a want, a wish.  Not in reference to some quality that is believed to be inherent and constant.  Love is not a quality, it is everywhere and it is everything—we just have to detect it.  If we chose to move along the path of ascension, we must be cognizant of our own goals, how they shape our values, and how they facilitate or prolong the transmutation of the consummation of flesh and physicality to that of pure spirit that is free of judgment.
