This is the first time I have ever shared what I saw with a group but I would like to get some opinions on what I saw.

So I was at my grandmas house sitting in front of the window.  It was probably 1am and I just liked looking out into the dark.  I would say I was around 13 years old.  It was completely quiet and clear.  The house was situated on the corner of a moderately traveled road next to a park but there were no cars at that time of night.  Out of nowhere what I would describe as a bolt of lightening came out of the sky near the driveway.  The bolt didn't come from the actual sky but seemed to start about 50 feet up.  For reference there are no power lines or anything electrical where I saw the light. But it made absolutely no sound...and I did have the window open. This supremely freaked me out and I ran to my bed.   The next day I went to see if there were any burn marks on the ground and there was nothing.  To this day I have no clue what I saw and have never seen anything like that again.  Any theories would be welcome.
