A scheduled two-hour debate regarding the Billy Meier UFO case, between nuclear physicist and UFO researcher Stanton Friedman and Michael Horn, appeared to transform into a conversation wherein Friedman, an expressed opponent of the Meier case, agreed to participate in an actual investigation of the evidence that he admitted being unfamiliar with.
Learning also that his own concern for future generations (including his own grandchildren) is addressed in Meier’s specific warnings about, and recommendations regarding how to overcome the dangers humanity faces on numerous from the environmental destruction to wars and terrorism, resulted in Friedman’s announcing that he would welcome a cooperative approach to evaluating the Meier case, which Horn has long referred to as the “key to our future survival”.
Hopefully, because Friedman is both a scientist and a UFO researcher, other parties, such as SETI, MUFON, etc., will also wish to participate in the investigation.

In a quantised spacetime, this makes sense if he replace 'fraction of second' with a 'fraction of chronos' or simply a distance that is away from us in a fraction of Planck's length. I will explain it in details in a blog.
This might be the reason a physicist is interested with the story. In quantised spacetime, we don't observe fractions of certain intervals of spacetime. A civilisation that might have found a way round can use these tunnels for interstellar travel to minimize friction. Then such a UFO will be automatically cloaked from us.

Because Meier and his adherents have an agenda, they are neither objective nor truthful. The facts are unsupported, in fact, they have been proven to be lies and the photos have been shown to be faked as well. There is money to be made in controversy so we have these discussions pop up now and again as the claims are debated and books are published..Myself, I look at the material first hand from Meier, and his lack of character, immaturity and outright lying can be verified from his Future of Mankind site. He states that he is the "only" contactee, his lust for the ET's and untrustworthy nature are easily spotted, I am surprised at the naivety of his followers, there are certainly better and more reliable contactees but I think it is just one of those things that "sounds" exciting, humans are attracted to the abnormal, the interesting and the fantastic...
Stanton Friedman may be looking at the material (again) but I think that has something to do with self aggrandizement and getting some cashola. Here is what he said a few years ago and I see nothing that has changed since:

I have been waiting for it for a long time, and it finally happened. West Coast researcher Kal Korff's outstanding book, "The Billy Meier Story: Spaceships of the Pleiades," has finally been published. This may be the only time I recommend a book published by Prometheus Books, which specializes in books debunking so called paranormal matters such as UFOs or psychic phenomena.
Generally, as the publishing arm of the self-anointed Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal, Prometheus assumes that the end -- protecting the public against this very threatening garbage -- justifies the means, namely ignoring the relevant data, using character assassination, and a general "Don't bother me with the facts, my mind is made up" approach.
Korff has been worrying the Meier case for more than 15 years. In 1991, he finally visited the Meier compound in Switzerland, in disguise, and using a pseudonym. He talked to a number of key witnesses and obtained copies of pictures not previously available.
He does a very credible job of proving that the impressive photos are frauds and that many of the exploiters such as Wendelle Stevens, James Dilettoso, Randolph Winters, Guido Moosbrugger, etc have been less than honest in many of their pronouncements about both themselves and the pictures.
I must add that I tried unsuccessfully to keep the segment on the Meier photos out of the 1979 documentary "UFOs Are Real," some of which was shot at Stevens' home. Every time I checked on a claim he [Meier] made, I found I wasn't getting the whole truth. It was the only case [in the documentary] I didn't stand behind.
I suspect that the book won't really put an end to the Billy Meier fake photo and phony philosophy industry. But at least anyone interested in the truth can review it, before being taken in by the exploiters. It is hard to give any credence to Meier, who used NASA published photos to prove he was in outer space, traveled in time, met with Jesus, and filmed dinosaurs!
The acknowledgments section is overdone; 10 pages is a bit much. And Korff echoes a frequent, but completely false, charge that the National Enquirer carries articles with photos of presidential candidates and aliens. It is actually Weekly World News that carries these items. It and Meier make a good team. Kudos to Kal. I can't wait for him to dig into the Bob Lazar fraud soon.

Excelent research Kel .. indeed, the "naivety of his followers" sums it up so well, some of whom expect the rest of us to believe in the garbage that Meier peddled, and indeed, some of whom get angry when we dont believe it ... popcorn at the ready, me thinks one of them is about to throw another little tantrum .. :-)
Thanks, Luke :-) It's not that I don't believe in UFO's, (have first hand experience there)... it's that the rest of the stories don't gibe with the real facts we know to be true and the character of the proponent is suspect to say the least. I think most rational people would look at the number of sightings etc. and decide that there are ET's in our skies, at least; but we can't cherry pick what we choose to believe of a source like Meier, he has too many fallacies to take seriously. If there was any truth to his story, he mussed it right up with all the fakery and back peddling etc and so everything he says is suspect.
People who hold on to these illusory sources are likely to be old school types; lol, there are much more interesting photos out there that cannot be explained in these modern times. Let them eat cake if they can't handle the truth :-) Intellect must be mobile, you can't attach yourself too firmly to false ideology or the whole house of cards will fall down.
