Have you ever played that game telephone? A group of people sit in a circle, the first person thinks of a phrase and whispers it into the ear of the person next to them and can only say it once, no repeating. This keeps going until they reach the last person. The last person always gets it wrong (at least in my experience)... it always ends up something not even close to what was originally said.
I feel that even if somehow dead people passed along messages to the living (religion stuff and how stuff supposedly is in the dead realm and what the rules supposedly are in our realm.. personally I don't think any info has ever been passed along but that's not the point of this discussion)... it gets jumbled up. Information falling victim to the listener's interpretation.
