Google stopped being a bona fide search-engine when it started spying on and tracking it's users and tailoring i.e. censoring the results it gives them. It's no longer a matter of just scouring the web and indexing the terms of reference and then listing them by the most visits to the sites that contain them upon your request.They

are deliberately steering people both to and away from sites that suit their agenda, not yours. That also impacts those sites who rely on the traffic they receive to finance their efforts and keep them going.
