My Spiritual growth

Back in the mid 70's I was about 24 and was reading the books of T. Lobsang Rampa, I have tried to do conscious astral projection, but never did, I was troubled with sleep paralysis from that time up until I was in my mid 40's. During the early years, when I was reading books about Buddha, out of body experiences, that I had a very strange dream/ semi-conscious state experience, I had a dream, but I can not remember what it was about, but I am sure I was awake and a man, he filled the corner of my bedroom, he was a bright shinning green light, in appearance and he spoke to me, by thought, and he said:" Get up, Colin, Get up" and I replied: I can't, I remember, that I felt that he was showing me something I had to go through in my future life. I rolled over and went back to sleep.Can you help me? I do want to go further in my spiritual growth.

    Dear Colin. Thanks for sharing your story, but why do you ask us what to do/where to go? I believe that God/Light/Aton (or whatever you call your creator) dwell inside us and if we desire answer to our petitions then the answer is always given. We must learn to listen to the silent voice.

    Someone said "Knowledge will set you free". I totally agree. I spend many hours every day reading, studying, learning to discern truth from lies. I love being a chela (student of life).

    I truly wish you good luck in your journey "home".

      Dear Lightworker,

      I thank you for your reply, as I mentioned, I had not discussed the experience I had when I was younger, except for mentioning it to my wife and son. I grew up in a traditional Christian home, and discussions of such things as Buddhisms, reincarnation and astral projection were unheard of. But I know what I had experienced that night. His figure was a translucent shimmering green.
