Examples are countless : from Julian "Assanges" and military members sharing the declassified information, animal and environmental activism, feeding the hungry and helping homeless, from stopping traffic to help a family of ducks crossing the road to young pacifists feeding the parking meters in some small U.S. town.................................
Maybe this discussion will encourage members of this site to share stories, links and videos about this altruism being on the rise.

Kudos to Krishnan.................................we need a lot of people helping others in any way possible...................many yrs ago, when I worked full time in my old job, I traveled city metra , bus and local trains, did see a lot of homeless begging for money. As a principle, I never gave money so it is not spend on booze and cigs, however I always took with me , more bananas and oranges, home grown tomatoes or peppers and to my surprise folks took it from me anyways.......................Altruism baby, it is self liberating......................
Yes, I think that PEOPLE are getting better - but the GOVERNMENT has to go!
