I got this in the mail and felt moved to share this...this is aweful and so depressing about Uganda

    SYNCHRONISITY. Stopped by the library and picked up an AMAZING DVD..

    "for the Bible tells me so" a film by Daniel Karslake

    this covers exactly this topic in the US.. It brought up a lot of feelings, sadness, hope, joy and gratitude

    I highly recommend it.

    sadly, i don't think donations or petitions are going to do a damn thing.. when ignorance is that great anyone can be the victim, if not the gays, then the voodoo priests or women, or this tribe or that. fanatics are insane people who themselves are poisoned by something much larger. Change has to come from the inside. Here in the US there's a bitter fight whether gay people can marry and be respected socially and legally as partners.. Hollywood is the gayest place on Earth and also the biggest bunch of homophobes and hypocrites. There are no positive gay role models for young people to look up to. It is insidiously programmed into the collective psyche that gay is bad and must be hidden. The result, gay bashing happens every day, very often police do lots of nasty things with their authority and get away with it. If the giant global scandal in the face of roman catholicism raping altar boys isn't enough to implicate their holier than thou hypocrisy then people just chose not to see. It hurts me deeply.

      Of course its a matter of education..and this world, is NOT educated yet...not educated in the poor countries...and not educated in the rich countries too...just because they build spaceships doesn't mean that they are educated!!!
