There are so many different people in the world, there are so many different people on this site.
Not one of us are identical in our ways, or thoughts, but we all have a few things in common:
We, for now, are human,
We eat, breathe, sleep and go the toilet
We laugh, we cry, we have feelings, from the highest high, to the lowest low, and so many other things.
I think we have more in common, than we do differences.
But, we only come apart really, when based on our perception of things, we judge others.
I know who iam, and what i want to do, i want to help, i want to grow, i want learn, i want to be friends.
Im sure most other people do too.
But how i see myself, is not how others see me, and how you see yourself, is not how others see you either.
We all judge each other, based on our apparent differences, which is steeped in our perception of things.
Perception:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/perception
Perception is just a mental image, it is not the whole truth.
My perception of you, based on my judgements, from your words and attitudes, is not correct, neither is yours of me, and so on and so on.
So before we are quick to argue and judge, before we lash out at someone with different views, remember, we have more in common than anything else.
How i see me, should be how i see you, and individual, with a perception fliter that is faulty!

Awesome post....Judgements do not help, it is ok to agree to disagree, we each perceive life through our own perceptions that have been formed by our life experiences and because we all have had different life experiences, naturally our outlooks and belief systems will differ. It is good to not get too wrapped up in the whole differences thing because our samenesses are what makes us all part of the whole of humanity. Thank you so much for this wonderful discussion.
Hi folks, well thought thread and replies.
What we should realize, is yes we are all cut from the same cloth and we all have exactly the same needs.
Though what in my view we are actually to realize more than anything being in the human state, is how we live and interact with one another, that is what will either lead to our destruction or our collective paradise.
If every human being spent most of their time pondering how ideas, thoughts, systems of living either create harmony or division, I feel these judgmental perceptions upon one another would be a thing of the past.
Unfortunately, for some time now and still, individuals and groups and institutions are conditioning humans to look at one another in judgement, instead of the systems and ways we interact and meet our needs.
A kind of analogy might be a meat grinder to highlight systems.
Instead of humans examining the functionality of a system such as a meat grinder, instead we are conditioned to examine the human that is on the meat grinder and judge them and lose sight of the fact that it is not the humans fault what so ever, it is the design functionality of the system itself, the meat grinder, that determines the fate of each human within and around that system.
Though as many know, people seem to fear acknowledging these systems, though are acknowledging them at an ever greater rate these days.

Kelly Ann,
Honestly I have not enjoyed arguing with you. For once, I find I agree with you. Even the flawed perception filter which mine many would concede, is very flawed. Since I have judged you in the past as being immature, this is a very mature post. I know things have been said in the past and for my part I can only say sorry for my offense. I'm sure I may disagree with you in the future but for now I pray we no longer clash.
Blessings,
Les H.
You are totally right. All is one. We cannot do to something without doing it to ourselves first and foremost. Perceptions are like a distorted image in the water caused by waves, but when the water is still we see clearly, and from that clearness relate to others.
I have been learning to (part of the four agreements), but still so true is to not take things personally and in order for me to take things personally is when there is a part of me that agrees with what is being said. Wrong perceptions, creates thoughts and emotions surrounding events, so people relate to me from where they are on the integrity tone scale regardless of who I am as a person and vise versa. I have also been thinking that what I think of other people is what I actually think of myself, what I think about others can be harsh at times, so it is really with myself. so then it just comes back to compassion for me and others...;)
Thank you for this, Kelly, it is a sweet and timely reminder.
XOXO
