They got married in the spiritual just the other day, like had a proper actual "wedding" type thing which I guess is our equivalent word.
I really wanted to paint something for them and although it turned out a little childish and had major anatomy failures, especially on the black creature which has no neck and not much of a chest I still felt like it suited those two because for one they're like kids at heart anyway. There's a fair bit of symbolism in it. The blue and pink nebulae/ star dust represent universally recognized colours for male and female. It's depicted swirling around mixing in with each other in the background.
Also the two creatures have their origin in a popular series / game. One creature is heavily associated with the moon (the black one) and the other is heavily associated with the sun (the pink). The pink cat is male, the black dog is female.
I know people are going to bitch about me having it "wrong" but these two break stereotypes as it is and it was painted for them, not anyone else.

OH CRAP!

Oh how wonderful!!! Someday you will have to explain how it works "up there" when you are married. Your art work is fabulous as always, Rae, you are too hard on yourself, but as an artist I suppose one is always striving upward and onward.
My best wishes and happy thoughts go to Zan and Anush- how lovely and romantic for them.
