Will I be attacked for posting this? Yes I have been; see below.

The following was written

by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.

My confession:

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees... I don't feel threatened.. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are, Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu .. If people want a creche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the
America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different:This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

In light of recent events... terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then
someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about.. And we said okay..

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.' Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages
regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and
obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet? Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will
think of you for sending it. Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Pass it on if you think it has merit.

If not, then just discard it... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.

My Best Regards, honestly and respectfully,

Ben Stein

  • From Africa are only the Negroid race and the Semites (the Jews). Name Semites, stuck behind them as a result of their addiction to the constant mixing with other people.

There are no "pure" races on MotherEarth. The whitest person has DNA from Ethiopia, Africa

White face of the Jews actually came from Africa. By the way Obama Ethiopian Jew, did not know?
Hindus - the result of mixing South Asian, Semitic and Negroid genetics.
Indians - the result of mixing red and white race. Up to 70 percent of the gene R1a (b).

DNA chain have a half-life of 520 years, so that all these so-called "research," not more than a fantasy of scientists on the money of the Jews, who'd like to prove that they are also "white".

Genetics is critical to the development of the soul. Genetics, reveals the possibilities, but you take advantage of them or not, entirely in your hands.

Embodied in each of the races or when exactly that in each of the species of man on earth, is the ladder of evolution of the soul, from the simple to the complex.

Jews, on the advice of his father the devil, decided to speed up the process evolution by mixing of genetics, gain the white genetics, and do not developing spiritually, so Jesus said to them, "Is your father the devil, and you are the result of his doings."

  • are they from india? no.

  • you were fortunate to be open to that experience, whatever it was-everything around us is an incredible hologram powered by the beast, fed by one of the huge mystery schools in reference to organized civilization(conflict, horror feeds it)-as compared to pagan societies in the old days-either way some thing must be continually offered to the beast to continue the illusion, garner power for your people's protection and prosperity. Such diversity with multiple dimensions, the Creator sends Him/Herself into this beastly illusion as god/goddess or masters like Jesus and Krishna re-incarnate to create methods of salvation and encouragement for us to find a way out of this dense 3d 4d illusion-your atheist friends are missing so much-just meditating and allowing the kaleidoscope of colors to wash around me is enough to shoo all worries and doubts-I believe-give this to one of your freinds -if they are true liberals they will entertain the thought-YAA OOH DAA-  VO AA-  HA JO HA sound it out and repeat for awhile in a quiet place

  • The meaning of an atheist TO ME is, a person who has not yet decided, either way.

    • wel htere is part of the huge problem about getting to the root of these issues.  You see fence sitter it doesnt matter what the word means TO YOU.  There is this item called a dictionary, it takes care of listing all the meanings of words so that there are no misunderstandings created by foolish statements like your where words take on new meanings just because you say so.

atheist- does not know about gods, or does not believe they exist

AGNOSTIC are the people who are as yet undecided if there are or are not gods.

you should try reading the dictionary, it takes the guess work out of knowing what words mean. then youll be able to communicate properly with the rest of the educated people on earth.

      • You can reference the Dictionary, but not all people who categorize themselves as an Atheist go by the exact meaning in the dictionary, along with many other words in the human language...  It's not as cut and dry as that...

  • I remember watching Ben Stein's documentary, Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed.....and I mean...these atheist academics are almost as bad as the Christian fundamentalists. Firing someone for even mentioning God in a newspaper article, just completely ridiculous. Now they're trying to get the idea of God and intelligent design out of the schools....like you can't even bring it up as a theory....again, completely ridiculous.

I've talked with alot of atheists, and they'll say how there's a consensus in the scientific community, that there is no intelligent design or God.....so that means that science says there's no God lol That's only because they exclude...scientists who do believe in God, or some form of creationism.....from even being in the community, to have a platform, and funding for projects. They just plain leave them out, and worse than that, they seek to suppress them so they don't have a voice anywhere. That's not very scientific, it's definitely not open minded.

The thing with atheists is...they bash on religion for being intolerant and rigid....but alot of times, they're even more intolerant and rigid than religious people. Like GoldCoinCollector, he's a good example lol

    • Classic misrepresentation Jancar style! lol

If you are going to claim to "know" the atheistic position on things and how "rigid" and "intolerant" I am, at least represent things properly. Something I know you are incapable of doing, but I will still point it out nonetheless.

First I will address your claims about me.

First, I will say that I have no problem with admitting that I am very intolerant of religion and irrational beliefs in general. It is possible for me to respect the individual as a person who holds these beliefs, but I hate and despise their sick mindsets. Tolerance is a nonsensical concept that nobody is capable of practicing. I am intolerant, not because I am a closed minded bigot, or because I have some irrational fear of the other side, as you seem to imply, but because of the very real negative effects that such beliefs have had and continue to have.

Believing in life after death is a deep psychological illness that in practice can make you value your life, and possibly the lives of others, less. If you think that there is something else that awaits you after you die, and especially if that something is so much better than what you have here, inevitably you will value death over life. Imagine how much higher the suicide rate would be if it wasn't considered a "sin" in the Christian religion! lol And I have mentioned to you before the horrible consequences of this illness from Muslim suicide bombers to the people of Easter Island.

Healthy animals know on the instinctual level that death is the END, even if they don't have the intelligence to comprehend it. They appreciate their irreplaceable lives and live them to the fullest. The brains of nonhuman animals are so much cleaner and better functioning than the typical human brain. They may be a lot less intelligent, but their thought processes have integrity. They are far more sane.

To give you an analogy, compare a small glass of water to a large bucket of water. Imagine that the bucket represents a typical human brain, and the glass represents another animal, say a gazelle. Now imagine the bucket and glass filled with water. Obviously the bucket contains a far greater amount of water than the glass. From a quantitative point of view, of course the bucket of water is better than the glass. But imagine that water in the bucket is polluted with toxic waste and the glass is crystal clear. Would you still say that the bucket of water is better than the glass? Same thing in real life. The gazelle's cognitive abilities may be far less pronounced than a human's, but the thought processes it does contain are not polluted with the toxic waste that is supernatural beliefs, or any other irrationality that humans (atheists included by the way) squander their lives on.

So John, my "intolerance' is well founded and is based on observable reality. I do not tolerate or respect other people's beliefs if they do not stand up to scrutiny and if they are intent on letting their beliefs influence other people. Like you for instance, with your dictatorial mindset. You are intent on becoming a politician, meaning you want to be in "power" over other people.

"And if we have to ban pornography, and ban certain sexual deviancies, in order to help keep our society more pure and clean, well so be it." JJ

This isn't about porn, I don't want to bring that discussion up again, but I just copied and pasted that quote from you to help illustrate the potential danger your beliefs have on the well being of people, since you base your life philosophy on the idea of the supernatural. I also brought that quote up to show the absurdity of you complaining about me being too "intolerant" when you make no apologies for being intolerant of something you don't like e.g. pornography.

Religion has very observable consequences for our species, while the consequences of pornography are mostly imaginary, and even if real, are far less devastating than religion.

People like you use your beliefs to dictate to other people how to live their lives. If you want to waste the rest of your life believing in absurdities and allowing that to control your life, that is your loss, but don't take the rest of us down with you. And I am not just picking on you, that goes for ANYBODY who does not keep their delusions to themselves.

And there is one more thing I want to add quickly, if someone merely believes in life after death and never uses this belief to influence another person in any way, I have no problem with that person whatsoever. Unfortunately this is not the case 99%+ of the time. But that is the human species for you!

So yeah, I am intolerant and very proud of it. And I will speak out against people like you to my last dying breath until you stop trying to ruin the quality of life for those around you who actually care about their one and only lives.

P.S. I will address the idiocy of Ben Stein's documentary that you blindly think is fair and balanced probably tomorrow.

  • I know just the self-proclaimed atheist I am going to send this to... She used to believe in God.  Who knows where she is at with that thought... she knows I believe in God, am not afraid to say it and WILL SAY IT... so Melody, this one is for you!

  • Me tooo, some good stuff there! :-D
