There are many on Earth who are deprived of the basic necessities due to lack of money in these times where the standard of living has shot through the roof. It is a question of survival for them with each passing day. Those well-off need to be sensitive to their plight, and it is in order to lend a helping hand in whatever way they can to ease their fears and tension. Live to make the lives of the miserable easier and more comfortable. If you are able to light up their eyes with joy and gratitude, then you have won the greatest reward for your kindness. There is no greater reward than making others happy and comfortable.
To live on the blessings of others is the biggest privilege anyone can ask for in all of cosmos. Never expect anything in return for your kind deeds. this annuls your acts of charity. do not do it for richess and fame. Always help for the love of God. Your kind deeds shine when your heart is free from any kind of greed and pride. Do not take the credit for making others happy; taking credit for good deeds is egoistic. All credit goes to the One above; you are only an instrument of the Almighty, doing His Will. Your selfless service to the helpless and the downtrodden, helps to renew their faith in mankind, because many who live in wretched conditions are left to their fate. They have stopped believing in miracles; they fear to hope, and have lost all faith in the sensitivity of a human heart of their fellow-beings.
Your altruism can help lift them out of the bottomless pit of depression and hopelessness, and this would be a great service that you can do for your brothers and sisters. The more Light you spread around you, the brighter will be your being and world. You cannot be happy when you grudge your brethren the joy of living in peace and happiness. Rekindle the hearts that are steeped in the deep gloom of sadness and sorrow. This is what you are on Earth for. This is what will lead you to your highest goal in this journey to Ascension.
