  Malcolm:  Yes, I believe that the West is heading towards total decay and collapse.  (It's like watching a dinosaur fall down in slow motion.)

  1 darkstar: the west is near a financial system breakdown, and they did it to themselves (AND NOT THE RUSSIANS, NOT THE CHINESE, AND NOT THE CONSPIRACY THEORISTS). This is because the west doesn't understand that a fiat money system does not work over a long period of time, regardless of the types of weapons you have to back it up with. You can't point a gun or a nuke at someone and say "accept our pretty pieces of paper as money or else." This may work with the board game of Monopoly, but it has NEVER worked for a long time in the past 5000 years of human history. EVER!!

  I suspect that the west is heading toward a total decay and breakdown similar to the end of ancient Rome. This is evident with the Roman government's end featuring a debasing of the coinage of gold and silver with a substitution of poker chips, similar to the west substituting silver coinage with poker chips (after JFK was murdered), and a closure of the gold window by Richard Nixon in 1970 (when welfare expenses and military expenses got out of control, JUST LIKE ANCIENT ROME).

  Note that there is now public discussion about sex with animals and sex with children. This was also evident near the end of ancient Rome, and Caligula's government is a very good example for reference. This loss of value in social morality norms is directly parallel with the loss of value in real money, and this may lead to a complete breakdown of western society, as was the case with ancient Rome.

  The Age of Aquarius is near.
