We Are Forever

The nature of what we arecan never be hurt,can not be killed,bruised,twisted,or cut.Inside of every onewho has seen what they areis this placeof unwavering strength,peace,and powerwhich can never be destroyed:Though we can break a rockinto infinite pieces,grind it to sandand spread it on the shore,it is still that same stone,forever,only moved into another shape.Although it may seem easyto pull a leafor break a branchfrom a grand old oak,that trunkstill stands tall,roots buried deep,strong as ever.Although we may attempt,say,to push the watersof a riverin the opposite directionfrom which they flow,even a small streamwill forever defy us.Even as we cover our headsand shelter our homesfrom the heat of the sunand the chill of the rainsand the winds,they are still there,always,waiting patiently for usto come outside.Maybe we are awedby the majestic natureof that which we seeall around usbecause it reminds usof what we areinside.Only one wordI can think ofdescribes it accuarately:We are forever.
