The Grand Reward of A Pure Mind and Heart

A pure mind and heart is more nourishing than a mind and heart steeped in negativity and skepticism, just like pure water is more nourishing than muddy water.Reality is like a liquid through which we sense the material world. We can think of the liquid of reality as being like the surface of the ocean.

The space we individually occupy at this very moment is a single, unique point on the surface of that ocean. Somehow this plane of liquid, which represents our entire 3D reality, is itself but a slice of a far-reaching, higher dimensional universe. Our waters through which we individually experience reality remain muddied when we let the fears of modern living dominate our minds and hearts and never take the time to purify our streams of perception. We purify our waters by taking control of our thoughts, by forgiving everyone whom we feel has ever wronged us, and by learning to believe in and love ourselves. Accomplishing this, through introspection, is the equivalent of settling the debris in a body of water. Once the debris—our scattered and restless thoughts—has settled, we can see through our waters and perceive a more complete reality. When the light of introspective awareness comes in and purifies the space/time liquid through which we perceive reality, we release the dark clumps of stored emotion in our minds left over from unresolved emotional injuries of the past.It is up to us to decide which waters we want to live in, but in order to purify our waters we must pursue introspection and inner healing. It could even be said that the very reason we are alive is to learn self-healing through self-purification. From hard work comes the grand reward of a pure mind and heart.Taken from http://cosmicfruit.blogspot.com/

"I’ve found this breakdown of the Book of the Dead and the Papyrus of Ani. It helps illustrate exactly how the ancients viewed the journey through the Duat:
