Causation of the worlds dire situation is found in subconscious energy. Masses of people with no outlet struggling daily with the idea of slaving for 20 years to get somewhere.
You can divide people into three categories. Sane people, insane people and criminally insane people. Those who live by reason, those who repeat behaviors expecting differed results and those who when exposed to certain trigger factors or magnitudes of stress, will revert quickly to violence or otherwise criminal actions; again all of this because of pent up subconscious energy having no outlet in a world of vast differences in the standard of living.
In video games and certain movies etc the concept of the massive criminal army that has taken over a post societal wasteland is often played out against one hero with a million lives taking them all out. Think very slowly about how the world looks right now. The environment is disintegrating, there is a growing army of criminally insane people taking over, and the entire world is riveted once again by the story of one heroic American Sniper. Hate to break this to the fiction fans, but there is no hero in real life, no one person with infinite lives to take out every bad guy. It's either going to get worse like world war 2 did, or a bigger threat will rise first, namely how to survive in a drastically changed environment, one in which the social order has disintegrated.
