July 14, 2009Sitka, AlaskaMichael:There is so much to tell you about this place, I can only understand a little bit at a time...you know, when I would have an idea for a music composition, it would come in in little bits and I'd sit in my room and work it out on this little keyboard, I never considered myself a great instrumentalist, but I had a knack for melodies and putting pieces of things together, you know, crafting it, like a carpenter would cut out the pieces of wood for his table, and then hand screw in the legs, and carefully select the finish, and varnish...I am very (embarrassed) anal in that way....really a perfectionist.I see that it did me in, in a way, but it also catapulted me to a level of reaching for what is normally beyond the possible in the realm of the earth experience....wow...I guess that is why I was doing the Moon Walk, trying to defy gravity, you know, boundaries, while still on the earth, and to a certain extent I was able to accomplish that...but, but....Michael sighs, you know we live in these bodies and you have to deal with the body that God dealt you, and mine was tall and thin and I had energy galore when I was young, but after about 27, and the Dangerous Tour, I began to feel the toll....I was tired, and I was also relentlessly pushed. I couldn't say, I need to sleep another 2 hours, there are hundreds of people waiting for you at rehearsals and the studio musicians, and the bottom line in the Music Industry on the planet now is MONEY.....and it is evil. Because what I and so many other artists were sincerely trying to do had this huge nasty bull elephant (but I like elephants, I just mean some thing BIG) in front of them....and you have to make a decision.Do you say "fuck off" to the corporations? Then you don't get to share your gifts and touch peoples' hearts....and at the same time you are in the clutches of them and they make you a commodity...you are a money machine, an ATM with a tune for them!!! Michael laughs that beautiful laugh and gives a smile....I have my animals here, I mean the ones who went before I did. I love them and they give me comfort....I like the warmth and acceptance of them...they don't ask for anything except love...they don't demand anything from you...I don't mean to sound ungrateful, I've had a life that has been fraught with challenges, but also incredible, and I mean SPECTACULAR joy. I was like Elton's man in Rocket Man, I was going to outer space, the world as I knew it was too small, too rigid, too tempered with bad tempers...it's why I expressed so much anger in my later years in my music. My Bad album....I wanted to show what it's about...the way that the world treats people.You know, I really knew from about the age of nine or ten that I had a message, or I was given a message and told to use my voice to tell it to the world...it was like I was on fire inside....I was crazy unless the music got out of me...it's hard to explain to people who don't experience that kind of emotional insistency in their own bodies....it's like being on a drug, but it's your own body doing it...Probably the reason I started to try to slow down my thoughts....you know, I speak slowly, but that is because I want to be precise in what I say, not to have it misunderstood...but, if you look at my dancing and music and rhythmic pulse, it's hyper as all hell...I needed to help others feel that in themselves to help to wake them up to their own potentials and dreams. Most people are sad, and live life in a cage of perceived limits....it made me cry a lot....I think of what I am missing the most...my children, and the touch of their skin and wisps of hair....and talking to them....and being silly and playing with the squirt guns and hide and seek...People think I'm messed up because I identify so much with Peter Pan...but who was Peter, he would lead Wendy and John from a life of imprisonment to a life of "2nd star on the right straight until morning"....Kate [Bush] did an awesome job with that song....also her song Running up that Hill, the one about making a deal with God.I know where she's at in her head with that...but she was lucky. She had a very successful creative career, and then left it, or had that option and had a "normal" family life....out of the reach of the media...and now is coming back in that the children are grown...but that's an unusual situation....I know you are tired, and need to sleep...I don't need to sleep here. It's like you just are living on the aethers and getting nourishment and energy from that...it's kind of cool, you don't have to cook or clean up the dishes!!!Take care of yourself, you are amped up tremendously for a little earth body, and have had some near misses with staying in it, but I am with you...I love you for doing this, and for being who you are....those electrical towers you used to be fascinated with as a kid in Saratoga, CA, at the end of Scotland Rd, at the Arroyo, you liked those because you "knew" then at age 7 you'd be asked to carry amperage and voltage to the planet and the people like that...the way that I did in my performing. But you do it by directly plugging into the electrical circuits of the earth. You know, she is about to take off, like a spaceship...and some will go and some will not go...it's all where their heart is...I tried to tell them, Man in the Mirror was all about that. You can only change yourself. That is where it happens, and then the outsides change...I am going to tuck you in -- so you like animals too-- I like your stuffed animals and all the little kid things you have...you didn't have a childhood either, it's one of the reasons I picked you...I knew that if you made it this far, that you could be my translator....very few can....it's a downloading of certain frequencies that only a handful of people have mastered, and you are still having issues with your body because it's hanging out in that upped energy on the Earth now, which means alchemy in the DNA, not a fun process for an advanced soul....OK, goodnight, and sleep tight dear one, I'll be with you and we'll talk tomorrow....love you, and a good night kiss.
