Letting Go

Most of us here are driven and compelled to do something that makes a difference to the current state of affairs in the world today. We have gifts we want to share...we see and feel the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual wounds of others and the desecration of mother earth on such a profound level it overwhelms us with the magnitude of the task at hand.Time is ticking...the seconds... the minutes... the hours are slipping into infinity adding to the quickening of our desires to be all we could ever be... What do i do? where do I start? How do i become that catalyst for change?So you begin to make that journey and hope for the best... you go within, bit by bit, step by step you face and heal the wounds within yourself ... your real journey starts now... your real journey starts by letting go...Let go of the pastThat brought you sorrow and griefLet go of the betrayalsThe guilt and the shameLet go of beliefsThat keeps you stuck in a grindLet go of the burdens’You were never meant to carryLet go of perfectionWith the need to be rightLet go of the angerWith the need to defendLet go of resentmentOf having to do it aloneLet go of the fearThat keeps you frozen in timeLet go of the chainsFrom those of yesteryearLet go of expectationsOf how you think you should beAnd you will be freeTo go where you need to be…And you will be freeto live the life you dream...and you will be freeShanti, Shanti, Shanti© Lee-Anne Lewis
