Helping Friends Feel Better

When the people you loveare feeling down,there are waysyou can helpto lift them up:Firstly,don't ever acknowledge their sadness,to go in it with themonly gives it powerand doesn't help themfeelthey are not alone.Treat them as ifthey ought not feel bad,that their suffering is nothing,trivial,illusionary.They are the fools,after all,who are choosingto cry.Let them sitin isolation,do not speak to them,do not extend your handto feel their wretched screams:To give them your companywould be onlya comfortable coddling.Best that they knowthe universe is lonelywith no thought to justiceor loveor peace.Be sure not to expect themto be anythingof any worth or ability:They can no longer be relied on,they are so useless with dispair.There is no chancethey might bloom once again...Instead remember onlyhow they fell out of grace,that all of their sufferingthey madethrough their own ignorance,and will forevercontinue to make.And of coursedo not ask themto gather with you,lest they bring a long faceand make you look the fool.People don't want to beanywhere neara downfallen angel,no matter how dearly departed,and they will indeedremember you in that company.Shun them and leave themto live or diein their love alone:It is not yoursso why should you suffer,how could you help?Go on to your very own dreamand leave all the nightmaresto be dreamt by thosewho can't understandtheir lives are perfect.Leave all the demonsin hell,forever:The people around youbelieve they are suffering.There is really nothingyou can doto help themfeel better.
